  1. Thanks for the links. Hmmm, nice new tools to search something on the net.
  2. I casted my vote and obviously it's for google.com - been very helpful in so many ways. Used it for years, yahoo was the best search engine then but I always preferred to use google.
  3. Try http://freedns.afraid.org/ <---- has some very nice private addresses and many features!
  4. Heeey, very nice sunset pics. I've been to Bangkok for only 3 days, I was planning to go to Phuket but time and resources wouldn't allow me. It was fun, I just wish that most people there understood english, ahhh, it's a bit hard to communicate with the people there because of language barrier.
  5. I got a 14", that's because i'm not really into monitors.
  6. I got a Mirage all-format CD player, the only thing that it can't play are DVDs(yeah, too bad). But hey, it's a very compact player, I can watch VCD's anywhere, play MP3s, audio CDs, etc.
  7. Spyware BlasterLavasoft's Ad-aware ProSpybot: Search and DestroyThose trio make up my adware/spyware defense. And together, they're working perfectly! I'm always assured that i'm spyware free as long as I update my spyware definitions. For pop-ups, my Internet Explorer 6(with MSN toolbar activated[eliminates ALL popups by default] and the pop-up blocker integrated because of SP2 upgrade) does not allow any pop-up. Works better than firefox in terms of termination pop-ups, I still get pop-ups when I use firefox(even with its anti pop-up feature). I use them both though, they both have their own weaknesses and strengths.
  8. I've used Panda Internet Security, McAfee Virus Scan, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Norton Anti-Virus and Trend Micro Internet Security. So far so good, the best for me is Trend Micro Internet Security(of course I prefer the most updated version and you should be registered for the automatic updates). It updates just about uhhh(their virus definitions), every 4 hours, that's quality service for you and it has a built in mail anti-spam feature, trojan scanner/cleaner, security check(checks your windows for vulnerabilities) and a good personal firewall. The popup warning(if you have firewall vulnerabilities) which shows every 15 seconds or so can be quite annoying but this software definitely keeps my PC virus free!
  9. WOOOOO! We are here not just for the hosting, we are also here to share things we know and to learn from others. It's my primary purpose on why I joined this forum.
  10. Urgh! About 5 days ago, I removed it a while ago since it was pretty much useless that's why I requested here to change my host address to pinoybloggerforum.info, at least it may save me some hassle even without the parked and add-on domains feature(but it would be great having the add-on domains)...
  11. Hmmmm, you can use a software like Steganos Internet Anonymous(uses a set of proxies too so it might slow down your connection).
  12. I have the add-on domains feature enabled on my account[5] but it seems like it doesn't work, it does give me an error of excessive use of URL something when I go to access my site... Can you replace my original URL of pbf.astahost.com to pinoybloggerforum.info - please, thanks. Hope you could help... I already set the nameservers right.
  13. Can be, only the future can tell though. Anyway, both of them are nice proggies so it doesn't really matter.
  14. Hey, just a suggestion. Get a bittorrent with a search feature integrated, I think it's one of the best ways.
  15. TuneUp Utilities' TuneUp Undelete works fine in recovering deleted files too(as long as the data that was left in the disk is still in good condition). It can also scan your computer and list all the files that you can still recover.
  16. If the backup feature of CPanel is usable then you can move files easily to another server(providing that that server has CPanel on it too) if you didn't change your domain name or URL(if you just migrated from server to server).
  17. You can search google with the keyword: PHPBB Hacks and the first one should take you to the PHPBB Hacks homepage where you could get some extra skins(you can modify it if it doesn't fit your taste). As for blogspot and xanga, i'm sure there are lots in the net. Try searching in Google and you will get results.
  18. I use SeaGate so it's Seagate for me. Never experienced any problems with it. That's all I have to say.
  19. I only have AMD duron but I can multi-task(open simultaneous applications) without any problems. Weird. My processor is only 1.1Gh and the bus is I think 133Mhz.
  20. Really hard to tell, I can only know my system temp through my BIOS screen and that would be when I boot my computer. I think it's fairly cool though, it's a server type computer. Runs 4 days non-stop without really heating. It has 1 big cooler fan on the sides and the case is well ventilated.
  21. I use the most simple way of partitioning, FDISK. I used partition magic but I like using FDISK better.
  22. I had my NVidia 64MB(3D Capable) video card 3 years ago and... it still goes well with the current releases of video games so I guess there's no need to update. Quality is good, so is its longevity for use. I haven't really tried using an ATI video card but I might get one when this current video card of mine can't keep up with the new motion rendering technology.
  23. PHP, it's uhhh, how do I say this... Expendable and Flexible. Flash really is good for design but when it comes to coding, I don't know, moving images have code?!?! Yes, maybe, but that's really complicated. HTML is good too but the scope of coding is really limited.
  24. The add-on stopper of Windows SP 2 IE Component, MSN toolbar and Firefox's pop-up management. Got rid of unwanted popups(at least most of them, about 96% less, but hey, it's quite an improvement). People figure out how write new scripts to execute popup ads better that some even ignore Firefox's anti-popup feature.
  25. BitTorrent all the way!!! So many files, so little time! Seriously.
