If you had've read the post properly you would know that the virus sends itself to all your contacts. So unfortunately you will get the virus from someone you do know. Simply opening only those e-mails that are from people that you know will not prevent you getting the virus .

I would actually like to learn how to hack into websites etc. Not so i can deface others' webpages of course but so that i can learn how to better defend against hackers. I think that the best way to defend against them is to know how they work. Can anyone recomend a website that has a tutorial?EDIT- Or maybe someone who knows how could post a tutorial in the How To's and Tutorials section?

I have a 30 GB hard drive for whatever 5 GB for music and I will hopefully be getting a 10 GB one to backup some stuff. Also I have heard of external HD's with 1 Terabyte of space . Dunno whether thats the biggest or not.

That depends entirely upon what you call "professional". MySQL database is in my mind an incredibly "professional" piece of software which is used by some of the biggest and most "professional" companies in the world including NASA and Google. It however is completely free!

The layout is ok. The colors and menu look kind of ametuerish though. I can't judge the content though cause I can read very little French.

When Opera crashes it does close all the browsers windows, however instead of just losing where you were up to it has an option when you next start opera to begin from where you last were.

Opera is indeed one of the best browsers available. I hadnt heard of it till about a year back. I have no idea why opera is not that well known. I the main reason is because there isnt much if any advertising for it. Yet i have seen quite a few people advertising Fire Fox. Same with linux. As they are free programs the people that make them dont have mone to advertise. None of this is fact though im just guessing.

I would prefer not to have to have to do posts before i got the free hosting account however even if i didnt have to i would contribute to the forums. I have gained alot of extra info from the forum that should help produce better web pages. One of the most valuable sites i have so far found is one that i have mentioned before site-dead It gives you a step by step tutorial on how to promote your web site.

I don't reallly get what you mean by market. Do you mean promotion or acually selling things?

I have looked for the ben ford's cold fusion but I can't seem to find it. Can you give me a link to where I might find it? I would like to ry it out first but if it's any good and the price is right i would consider buying it.

For anyone thats wondering the link that pedro just posted is to a site where you can search with google and yahoo! at the same time side by side in the same window. Its interesting. Google is a bit faster and in my opinion has better quality sites. However that may be luck because i only searched about 4 random things.

Ok. Maybe I was wrong. No not maybe, definately. I guess i never really thought through what i was saying. Damn i hate it when you are proved wrong. Anyways i still dont like the opera auto-cache thing. I play an online text based game quite often but every turn the page changes and i have to press reload. If i didn't play games then i agree it would be great cause most pages don't change often if at all.

I guess it might give you better results but I don't like them because I can't help but view them as cheaters. They just use all the other search engines who put in the hard work finding the websites. I never use them and very much doubt i ever will. Another reason I can't go past google is the ever changing always amusing Google icon. It's such a work of art.

Opera is a really great browser except for one thing that really pisses me off. When you go to a page it loads ok. However when you go back it simply retrieves the same page instead of reloading a new one. That anoys me big time cause pages often change including my own and everytime i go to it i have to manually press reload. If this can be turned off then I would use it. Can you toggle it on/off?BTW- Please don't tell me some sad people are still designing browsers and stuff for DOS. It just isn't logical. No-one would want a browser for DOS anymore.

I agree with R3d that there's not much point in looking for free web hosts just to hold files cause isn't that what the hard disk is for? It does take a good hour or more to set up your server from what i hear (i know someone whos done it but i haven't done it myself [still only got 56k dialup]) but it would probably be worth it. Not for decent web hosting but so that you can access some of your files on computers on other networks or friends computers. I wouldn't have to cart around cds or usb disks.

Isn't there some law that says something like if the name can legitimately be mistaken for the other company that was there before then they have to change their name? I'm pretty sure its something like that but don't ask me where I remember that from cause I don't have a clue.

I have always used Google and I probably always will. It has all that I really want in a search engine. Is there anyone out there who dosen't like google? and if so why? I have never met anyone who has a fair problem with it. Or do I just need to get out more?
