This is a tricky one, I have no idea what direction AMD are planning to go with their new aquisition, but after thinking about the progress they've made over the past few years I would tend to trust that they know what they are doing. $5.4 billion is a big gamble to play.

I don't believe that anyone has any right to decide what other people can or can not do unless what they are doing harms them. I disaggree with the death penalty because killing the criminal is against his will, i don't believe that assisted suicide should be illegal, however a legal document should be made which requires the signature of both parties (the person who wants to die and the person killing them) to ensure that the person wants to die and that the person isnt just killing them for his/her own profit. It would probably be a good idea to require a reason for the assiste suicide, this reason should be something that causes permanent uncureable suffering of some type (be that physical or emotional).

What about games like CS or battlefield where one well placed bullet will kill u? While i admit that realism is not feasible in some games (i.e. most sports games), i think that in most games it is a possibility and as games get more advanced they will get more realistic. An example may be that in a FPS, if you get hit in the leg you can't walk properly until you get killed and must enter the game as a different character, or in hand to hand combat games, instead of having your life get lower (which dosent really work) your energy could get lower (walking and running should also have a minor affect on this) until the character blocks to slow because he is tired and gets stabbed (if the stab wound is not bad he can continue but will be very limited). I believe that in the future we will be playing games like Age of Empires where every little guy you hire has a detailed personality and has needs (something like the sims only probly more detailed).

You can look at this two ways: 1) It's relatively unimportant virus that is easy to block or remove.2) While this virus isn't a big deal, it may be foreshadowing a lot more which may do more damage.Personaly i would go with option 2 however it will take many years for a more damaging virus to be made. I also believe that Linux and Unix users are a lot more careful with their computer and have firewalls and don't do stupid things like download huge files that unkown people have sent to them (i know a couple of friends who have done that).

I think that Intel should've used whatever resources it used as an insentive to skype on building some better processors. It is obvious that AMD processors are more than good enough to handle a 10 person conference call. I don't think Intel should be doing this and trying to damage AMD's reputation. That being said I can't say that i wouldn't try to do the same thing if i was in their position.

I went to play a tcp/ip game with a mate the other night but it wont let me connect to him or him connect to me. I tried using a program called gamespy arcade, and it told me that because my internal ip address is 192.168.x.x and my external one is 60.240.x.x it could cause me problems. (I'm using a Netcomm NB5 if you're wondering) How can i make it so that i can play tcp/ip games? Thanks in advance for any help given

I love diablo 2 lod, it is one of the best games i have ever played (which is saying a lot). I havent actually played starcraft but i should cause ive only ever heard good things about it. Warcraft 3 is good but i never really got into the storyline and WoW was rubbish because you have to pay for it constantly which i am very much against.

I think you got the two confused, it is the PSP that has far better graphics. As for the touch screen, i have played a DS and the touch screen just seems like a gimmic that sounds good and means they can charge more for it but it dosent really add to the gameplay at all. I prefer the PSP mostly because (apart from the start cost, of around an extra $200 AUD) its cheaper for me. Because i have the internet and a 1gb memory card i "could" copy games to it from the net. That way i dont have to pay $70 everytime i want to get another game. It also plays mp3's and movies.

I switched from IE (4?) over a year ago when i first found opera (i think it was version 5 at the time) and i have found no reason to change from opera. I find it works faster than any other browser and it has all the features you would really need. I still find people that think that firefox's tabed browsing is new lol. There are also very few sites that it wont display properly.As to thunderbird, I cant say much as i havent used it much but ive only ever heard good things about it.

Like someone said before it really depends on what kind of game you are looking for, from the description (old game) im gonna guess that you are looking for gameplay over graphics. For this I would direct you towards either classic; command and conquer: red alert 1 or 2, or any one of the age of empires series. Just get whichever time you like the idea of best.

i loved ocarina of time, it was awesome and probably one of my favorite ever games. Majoras mask was also a really great game even with the slight save problem mentioned above, Wind Waker however... Ugh, I hate those graphics, you can say all you want about how good the gameplay/music etc. was but i just cant make myself play it (believe me i really tried). It reminds me of those bad pictures that 6 year olds have drawn and sent in to some magazine/tv show. I mean dont get me wrong they are probably quite good for a six year old but for professionals?

I just bought a gigabyte K8N pro SLI mother board for a friend at a computer swap meet. At the meet (rather than take the 2 seconds to look myself ) i asked the man i was buying it from whether the board took PCIE or AGP graphix cards, he told me they took AGP, of course i then went and bought an AGP card (Winfast A6600GT 128m). Is there no way that i can use my AGP card (short of buying a new motherboard)?Thanks in advance for any help.

the words do have to be in the english dictionary and i dont know whether the googlewhack website would allow a website with just these two words on it. It might classify it as a word list which are disqualified.
