The Dell HD I believe is made by Hitachi or something like that.It is true that Dell computers are kinda cheap, mines an Inspiron 6000 which I got around two years ago. I find that it isn't that good. For example, the 'Enter' key got very wiggly 2 months after I bought it. I contacted customer support and they gave me instructions on how to fix it, saying that if it caused any more problems they would replace the keyboard.Well, now in two years the key looks in place, but I have to be more patient while pressing it. So in other words it is half broken seeing that I usually use two big fingers instead of a pinky finger to click it.Other then that, it's fine I guess. It is a bit ugly though and I have the new version design...I wouldn't suggest getting Dell.

Well, I've seen things like this around the internet. Most of them looked like scams to my eyes. I'm sure that there is also a large legitimate business when it comes to real estate loans but seeing that with the current faltering of economies around the world, I especially wouldn't think of putting money into real estate. Then again, this is the first time I've actually looked into it.

Connection Problems And High Ping Playing Battlefield 2
Sirius replied to SwampDog's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well, I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 Pentium M 1.86 1gb ram and a 128mb ati x300 video card and my ping is around ~80 (Playing from Turkey wireless broadband)The game itself, is very buggy so expect some sort of lag, no matter what you system is.I would also suggest doing: Ctrl + Alt + Del then going to processes and then ending a few of them. You'll learn not to end some important ones like explorer.exe because you need those for your computer to function. That always helps me a lot. Turn off anything you can afford to and maybe the lag stuff might be fixed. You could also try totalbf2.com they have a huge forum about bugs in the game and solutions. Then there is always waiting for a new patch and downloading that so that might also help. You could also try setting the video quality to Low and see if its a computer or internet problem...Hope that helps. -
I prefer Motorola.Simply because I believe that you get more for you money when you compare it to Nokia. In other words, Nokia seems to sell brand more then the actual phone.A friend of mine has a Nokia N series phone which he got 2x more then my Motorola V3, when compared he prefers mine rather then his. Even though his phone takes great pictures it's too big and clumsy, not to mention the price which is very expensive for a phone that is pretty big.

Updating Website From Another -- Website Is it possible, and how?
Sirius replied to matak's topic in Programming
I would suggest using Macromedia Dreamweaver. It's not 'free' but it's great for php coding such that it colorizes the code and when you save the file, there is a option so that it can automatically connect, and upload the saved file to your web server. -
I leave my laptop on for long periods of time, and the only problem I've experienced is that the bottom gets kinda hot, when that happens the laptop slows down a bit. Because of this, I put two big books on the either side of my laptop so it doesn't get heated as easily. Another bad part about leaving your computer on 24/7 is how the heat affects the computers/laptops surroundings. For example my wooden desk is slightly damaged from the heat and my room is considerably warmer then other rooms :blink:The second 'problem' is actually turning out to be a nice advantage of leaving my laptop on because it's winter!

What Does Wikipeadia Think About Google mmm??
Sirius replied to grimreaper423's topic in Search Engines
I think that wikipedia is pretty reliable. I've never read anything that I could disagree to yet. And I use it all the time :blink:Seeing that the difference between Google and other search engines is becoming more profound I think that more people would say Google rather then search. Because if its not on Google its not on the internet! -
hehe, love how they even made a 'bio-genica" website as well...

I currently use msn live and trillian once in a while when i need to get on aim. Using the real aim, or yahoo client is really a chore because of the ads they like to put around the client.I had tried to change my msn hotmail address with a gmail one some time ago but didn't know how to get it working- thanks.

I'm sure the ps3 is going to be great... but I'm looking forward to the Nintendo Wii rather then the ps3.Mainly because of the awesome controllers Nintendo makes.

I think it'd be really hard to make a profit with a reseller account.I think that you should offer other services then only web hosting. Like, dont try to be the cheapest. And aim for a set audience... And have good support...

I meant that all the files and databases on my Xisto server are now in one server. If I click on the update on my paid server the cpanel will just add the stuff that I had in Xisto to the things that I already have in my paid one.Right? Just dont wanna lose anything on my paid server
-
Well I have the file on my other server. I have some files on the other server that I dont want to lose. If I backup the Xisto file I wont lose the stuff on the server that I'm doing the backup on.Right? Thanks!

Oss Internet Speed Booster THE BEST
Sirius replied to H3arts_4nxi3ty's topic in Science and Technology
I dont think that any of these dont work at all...I tried some when I was on dialup and they did nothing. But, if you do proxy through a web server that compresses it before sending and you decompress it to look at it, that might work...But you'd have to pay for that -
Where To Get Cheap Ipods. Can you get cheap ipods anywhere?
Sirius replied to JC05's topic in Science and Technology

I think xereo was trying to create a subdomain on a subdomain by trying to on his ip manager thing...Anyway, yea what jlhaslip says what you should do, except, I don't suggest getting 2 subdomains after Xisto.com because it doesn't look good...

Heyas,I'm planning on transferring my Xisto page to a paid webhost. They both support cpanel. So, my question--I know that its possible to transfer pages from one cpanel to another, but, how do I do this? I think that its maybe done with backups? I mean, get a backup of mysql and website from one cpanel and upload it to another. But would cpanel allow this? I mean...Is it password protected or something, so that only the backup can be used as a backupAnyway, thanks

You could probably easily host a server on your computer. But, I would suggest that its a computer that you dont use. And, if its an old computer then not to use a windows server. You'll be amazed at how fast old computers can be if they have linux installed :PSo, you'll have to reformat an old computer...I'm sure they have very detailed tutorials on the web, many people host servers at home.Of course, what would happen if electricity went out?
-
Wel...I had done something like this with a phone and then it had died in about 15 seconds...Well, of course, then I had put a 120v thing into a 220v outlet which probably was behind the problem

heh, I'd never consider joining the us military even if all of the $$ of me and my relatives dissapeared--But of course, my idea might change if the time actually comes...I mean, its not just "joining the military" its joining it for a cause thats not very...good.Shame on Poland for going into the ME --They should have done what Turkey did...Say "Maybe..." Then hold the decision at congress until the US doesn't want help anymore

Military Laser Brings 'star Wars' Reality Closer
Sirius replied to DYABLO's topic in Science and Technology
That'd be pretty cool actually. But, I do think that all of this military news is actually much more advanced that the people let on. I mean, one would assume that have a lock on a person brain where many frequencies and also heat is present would be very simple considering that planes can lock onto each other from 100s of meters away...So, I think that locking onto a person brain and then shooting them with a sniper or such would be easy...But we haven't heard of anyone doing anything like that, or trying--Bit off topic now that I look at it, sry -
Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire May contain spoilers
Sirius replied to mykokology's topic in General Discussion
I think that its much better then the previous movies...I mean, It was also much more exciting then the previous ones. Even though I knew what was gonna happen, thinking about whats gonna happen next in the movie is exciting enough -
Well, I don't know the millisecond access time of normal hard drives but... I suppose it's faster.Usually, normal HD on new computers run at 5400 rpm (rounds per minute) You can get much faster ones...I've seen one that was something like 10400 rpm as a web hosting server...But--if it's right once then its not really useful :PThe article said that in 2007-2008 a write/read/erase would come out...Now, that'd be good
