Our solar system has 1 sun holding all the planets in their specific orbits with its gravitational pull.But now something weird has been discovered by NASA's Kepler mission that reveals that in Constellation Cygnus which lies 4900 light years away from our Earth multiple planets have been found orbiting 2 stars. The existence of such a system is reffered to as "Circumbinary Planetary System". Earlier we did know that unlike our sun many stars are part of multiple - star systems where in 2 or more stars orbit around each other exerting a tremendous amount of gravitational pull capable of throwing young planets or careening them into one another. So the question always persisted that can such systems have planets in them.The latest Kepler discovery gives a green signal to that. In contrast to our singular solar system having 1 planet revolving around 1 star, in a circumbinary system a planet has to transit a moving target.In this new system called Kepler-47, 2 planets and a pair of stars that eclipse each other every 7.5 days from our vantage point on earth has been detected.In terms of size one of these 2 stars resemble to that of our sun but bearing only 84% brightness and the other one is 1/3rd in size as that of our sun. And if a little attention is given on the details of the 2 planets, the inner planet Kepler-47b takes less than 50 days to orbit the twin stars and has 3 times radius as that of our earth and the outer planet called Kepler-47c orbits in 303 days giving it scope for being a "habitable zone" as one can hope of water to exist there although not truly hospitable for life but since its a gaseous giant slightly larger than Neptune one can expect water vapour clouds in its atmosphere. Its said that weird climate exits in such circumbinary planets. On earth we have a stable source of light from Sun bearing a variation of solar energy we receive by sheer 0.1% but circumbinary planets can suffer variation of several percentages of solar energy in time scales ranging from days to weeks.   2. This tuesday witnessed a second devastating hurricane attack after katrina.This huricane attack will actually be testing how foolproof were the flood defences already built. Although not as powerful as that of Katrina but Issac accompanied along with it a 80 mph or 120 kph winds following a heavy rainfall that is expected to flood the entire area. Katrina attack was considered as the costliest natural disaster that took in its lap the lives of nearly 1800 people. The Issac attack marking the 7 anniversaryof Katrina will be an acid test to prove how tight the disaster management system is working out there.Various preventive measures like walls,floodgates,levees and pumps built using $14.5 billion has already been implemented.The massive new floodgate at Lake Borgne which is the world's largest storm surge barrier has already been closed.The lower 9th ward of most of the cities scarred by Katrina memories has already been evacuted.This huricane is not only putting a halt in the lives of common mass but also shuttering the oil production at the US Gulf of Mexico.
  3. The biggest success achieved uptill now in being able to give a robot perfect flawless look like that of a human in the name of FACE has come at the doorsteps . As a byproduct of the latest research conducted by Pisa University scientists to produce one of the most emotional robots ever made - they have come to us with their product called FACE (Facial Automation For Conveying Emotions). This robot can actually mimic 6 human emotions by utilizing 32 motors in her face.There are 32 motors in this robot's skull and torso that actually helps in recreating 100 plus facial muscles in human face responsible for expressing emotions.The software used by the team is called HEFES(Hybrid engine for facial expression synthesis) and is an outcome of tireless effort by FACE team members spanning over the last 30 years. This invention is being considered a huge progress done in the Artificial Intelligence where robots are so flawless that even humans can also get surpassed by them. The question that arises in my mind is that are we heading towards such a phase where we are finding ourselves in a complete emotional touch deprived state that we have to rely on artificially induced emotional robots? Or is it just another inner quest within us to see how we humans are capable of instilling life in a lifeless object? This newspiece also puts a question in my mind that what actually differentiates a life bearing creature from that of a lifeless one? May be the future of robots occupying the place of our near and dear ones is knocking at our door.

It sounds funny that how one of the boring programs has seen its translation as a music video.The video featuring a MysteryGuiterman is created by filling each tiny block of spreadsheet rendering a cool pixel like effect.The music video is created for Youtube by first performing infront of a green screen and then removing the green parts using Adobe afterEffects.The frames thus created were then tuned into mosaic.These were now used as a templete to make each spreadsheet page.In total 730 such frames were being used to create this video.This whole video got created in less then 5 hours.

So one can expect it to operate at fast maximum speed.But bears a high cost.802.11b- Frequency of 2.4 GHz and 11mbps of bandwidth.It has a relatively low cost.802.11g- The most popular one in the 802.11x series with the cost and range of 802.11b. Provides a data rate of up to 150 mbps.802.11n- not yet a finalized standard but offers the best maximum speed and range.

  7. According to one of the latest scientific studies, the world population might have to switch over to Vegetarianism to cope up with the ever increasing water scarcity. As animal protein rich diet usually consumes more water as compared to vegetarian diet.The food habit shift is the only way out to save the extra need of water to sustain the availability of food to majority of human population. The available ground water level will not remain enough by 2050 to produce enough food for 9 billion population throughout the world.This would mean new food recipes are yet to come in the near future.We would have to learn to adapt to water scarcity like a camel in a desert. Although there are other short term ways to combat water scarcity generating food scarcity as a whole like increasing trade between food surplus nations and the deficiet ones. But all such initiatives will require the collective effort of the human community as a whole to stand in the need of each other.

RedTacton Technology was first invented in the year 2005 by Japanese company NTT(Nippon Telephone and telegraph).This technology takes wireless communication a step further and brings a new innovation in the field of access control where communication happens through redtacton transceivers embedded in devices like PCs,cameras.The connection is initiated only when a person touches 2 different redtacton enabled devices like a laptop and printer so as to enable one to print a document by keeping one hand on laptop and the other on the printer.This technology is mainly based on the fact that any human movement like touching, gripping,sitting can actually act as a triggering mechanism to lock/unlock, start/stop or transfer data.It opens up a new arena called Human Area Networking(HAN).This technology replaces radio waves used for transmission in Bluetooth,Infra rays by minute electric field emitted by our body.

But this case can govern future disputes arising amongst companies over intellectual property.Samsung is being blamed for imitating the user interface of Apple like for instance the "bounce back feature " when a user scrolls to the end image or the zooming of text just by a finger tap.The question is to what extent a company can benefit from having a similar user interface or similar look and feel product as that of their competitor's ? Or is it the uniqueness of a product that drive the customer crazy about a new product?Price certainly governs a majority of product popularity. If with a lesser price one gets to use the same look and feel of a product, certainly it makes the costlier product a little bit unpopular. But then a blame like this certainly puts Samsung in a disadvantageous position as every company would like to create animage of being an innovator and not of being a copycat.Although design is not at all an invention of any sort.But it requires a certain amount of creativity to visualise a product in a complete different way as that of the current one.This case may seemingly benefit Apple $1 billion as this is the price Samsung had to pay as penalty but a different view too coexists in the air that says Samsung has gotten a free word of mouth publicity as this dispute puts Samsung and Apple as truly same with no difference.Apple is a smartphone market leader and defined the way the phones look and if that very company states that Samsung is Apple in disguise then it would take a few more minutes by customers to reach to conclusion that Apple is Samsung.Thus such an impression wouldn't benefit Apple in the long run.As paying a huge amount for an Apple product will seem to be vague when the same product can be bought with much lesser price if it is Samsung one.So this case turns out to be as the biggest ad campaign done by Samsung to popularise its product in lieu of $1 billion.

Well if this world had been subjected to just 1 language everyone could have been able to enjoy the freedom to speak and communicate with any other person in this world irrespective of the fact that where he is geographically situated. Travelling to a truly strange place would also not matter in the way of communication the person chooses to. So the world would have been far too easy to handle in the context of communication.But the loophole of such a strange world as practically it is not at all possible to maintain 1 language throughout such a vast world will be that this world will be devoid of the vividity of so many languages. I have used collection framework in Java.Where it works exactly the way you have mentioned here.What I understand about collection is- it is a way to put objects/wrapper classes intodifferent data structures like array,arraylists, vectors, Maps e.t.c.List myList =new List().- > is a list where one can add objects of data type Integer,Float,Double, String or anything else.But List<string> myList=new List<String>() is a generic one wherein one can add an object of only String type.But it has to be kept in mind that this type information is maintained onlyduring compilation and not on runtime.During runtime a type erasure works that deletes the type information during runtime.

Before saying anything in favour or against this issue we need to review our own opinion on the very term "Reservation ". This term isn't a very positive one when it comes about selection for a position bearing significant value.As reservation limits the choice of candidates within the fixed quota. And that holds true for any selection/elimination procedure .Be it selection for Joint Entrance Examination, be it for employment in Government services or be it for political candidature which decides the fate of millions. But then why resrvation is still allowed in a system? To some extent it is definitely needed In a country like India where marginalisation of people on the basis of caste,creed,sex and religion was practiced for years and till today we can't deny the fact that it has been eradicated truly from the system and independence to every community is bestowed in a full fledged manner.So to undo the act of retarding the growth of such a huge proportion of population in the last couple of decades, we are deemed to bring in a procedure wherein we can give people belonging to those communities a chance and in the process accelerate the progress of society as a whole. When it comes pin-pointedly about women's rights, we definitely belong to that proportion of population which constitutes almost half of entire population of any country/ region. But history reveals irrespective of any class,caste,religion or any other sort of divisions the basic rights of a woman had always been thrashed and ignored.Crossing every Barrier of human community woman's rights are always put to a big interrogation mark. No matter to what class she belongs to she is always put under a scanner and her every single move is bound to get questioned.So if our system can accept reservation on the basis of religion, caste so can it accept on the basis of sex too. As far as voting a woman by another woman comes under question 2 ideologies do come in cosideration:- 1) Identity politics - Here comes choosing someone on the basis of faith.Like when a labourer woman is voting for a woman who is a powerful business woman.So its simply based on trust that the woman who might have never in her lifetime witnessed the hardships a woman of labourer class has faced will understand and act as needed. 2) Politics of Mirror representation - The second one is entirely antagonistic of the above ideology wherein a woman of labourer class has no more faith on someone who had seen only lavish lifestyle and had never faced circumstances of a common woman. So she decides to vote for a candidate who can well represent her situation and is a true mirror reflection of what she is. In whatever way a woman gets elected, there will always be an inner understanding of what a woman can face in her day to day life. That will help in introducing laws favourable for woman upliftment as a whole.As far as the quality of candidate is concerned, we already in our country have enough instances of efficient woman politicians coming from every nook and corner of our country and belonging to varied social and economic background.

A proper amount of sleep is always necessary to keep your brain and mind fresh.So why should anyone refrain from having adequate sleep to keep himself awake and study?What if after rigorous study he/she starts finding that whatever studied till date is forgotten at the exam table? So studying by burning midnight oil will all go in vain.But yes it has to be kept in mind that the study that is done by keeping one's mind open will come handy while answering question papers during exam.There are people who find late night study when everyone goes to sleep and there is tranquility everywhere as an apt time to study but there are some other set of people who find early morning study as useful. So one must try to find which one is convenient for you. To keep yourself awake all night or the other way around.

How CDMA worksThe communication between 2 users in a CDMA happen by allocating codes to users.To prevent 2 users in a CDMA system to interfare guard spaces are used.Guard spaces are realized by using codes having proper distance e.g orthogonal codes. 2 vectors in a 3D space is orthogonal if their cross product is 0.e.g (2,1,0) and (4,-8,0) are orthogoanal vectors.Steps how CDMA assigns codes and works:-1) Assigning codes to users- Suppose user A has been assigned a key sequence A(k)=010011 and user B like B(k)=110101. Now suppose A has to send a binary '1' and B has to send a binary '0'. Now let us assume a '1' as '+1' and '0' as '-1'. So a bit sent by A as A(d)= +1 and B(d)= -12) Spreading of the signals sent by users - Spreading is to multiply the bit sent by user with the code allocated to him i.e data sent by A will be A(s)= (+1)*(-1,+1,-1,-1,+1,+1)=(-1,+1,-1,-1,+1,+1) and B(s)=(-1)*(+1,+1,-1,+1,-1,+1)= (-1,-1,+1,-1,+1,-1)3) Transmition of all signals in space- All the signals sent by users is then superimposed in space so in this case the transmitted signal becomes C(s)= A(s) + B(s)= (-2,0,0,-2,+2,0)4) Despreading of the signals at the receiver end - Now at receiving end it has to detected which data has been sent by which user so despreading is done using the key sequence allocated to them. So signal sent by A becomes (-2,0,0,-2,+2,0)*(-1,+1,-1,-1,+1,+1)= 2+2+2=6 and signal sent by B becomes (-2,0,0,-2,+2,0)*(+1,+1,-1,+1,-1,+1)=(-2,0,0,-2,-2,0)=-2-2-2 = -6 The value 6>0 is detected as a binary 1 at the receiving end and -6< 0 is detected as a binary 0. In the case noise has been ignored but in practical scenario when noise comes in the results aren't that accurate and causes problem to detect whether there had been a 1 or 0. So the biggest problem CDMA systems face is power control.Note: For better understanding on CDMA refer the book on Mobile Communication by Jochen Schiller.

The very word 'Democracy' sometimes make mockery of the common citizens who opt to vote and select their representatives who assure to cherish every demand of theirs.After every lapse of 5 years this process continues and everytime they desperately try to find someone in the hope of getting what they intended to get from this hefty process.Every year a lot of money is invested on election campaigns and in the end it seems like a giant celebration of our failure to get the right candidate at the right place or actually finding ourselves in a real scarcity of right candidates.So in the end we can well interpret democracy as a pomp and show of our own dilemma.

  21. In my opinion the 1 st query is optimized one as it will consume lesser CPU execution time. If table A has 3 rows and table B has 4 rows. As one puts 2 tables in From clause the cross product of 2 will give 3* 4=12 entries and from those entries based on equal common attribute value second selection will take place. This is what the second query is doing consuming a lot of CPU time.The golden rule of an optimized query is as:- Perform projection first and then selection so that the number of rows on which selection has to made gets reduced considerably.

A view can be created as Create view view_name as <query>Primarily 2 important advantages can be achieved if one provides access through Views and not through actual Tables:-1) Added security- One can always restrict a user from viewing certain things by creating a view that we wish to allow the users to see and not the ones that are secured enough to let users to. One can grant permissions to views itself.2) Simple presentation- We can always remove complexity of data to be viewed by users by creating views and let them selecting data from views and not the actual table.So that they don't get confused by seeing extra fields that the user hasn't intended to see.
  23. Well I have left working with these some time back But it isn't a question of which query is better. As the JOIN operator does the job of both selecting rows from 2 tables and selecting those rows on the basis of equal values of the common attribute among 2 tables. As in your case you have 2 tables CRSETYPE and CRSE. They have a common attribute called CRSEID. JOIN operator will automatically retrieve rows from 2 tables having equal values for CRSEID. See From clause does the job of cross product of data of 2 tables. JOIN eliminates those rows that can't be equated on the basis of common attribute value. So in your 1st query ON CT.CRSEID,=CM.CRSEID, can be eliminated and can be rewritten as SELECT CM.CRSEID,CM.CRSENAME, CM.CRSELOGINID,CM.FILEPATH,CM.FILEURL,CM.FILEDESCFROM CRSETYPE CT JOIN CRSE CMWHERE CT.TYPE=1 Join will equate CRSEID values of 2 tables.

What I think regarding creation and destruction taken together is that every creation leaves within it a seed to destroy that very creation behind it.So whatever has been created is supposed to get destroyed one or the other day. As we begin our journey of life as a wee bairn and gradually we tend to become older with passage of time. Wrinkles get created on our skin, our capacity to work starts dropping down and then our journey ends one day. If any creation doesn't change form and remain the same forever and ever that would also be boring enough. Every change is unacceptable initially( like we don't like the very thought that we are growing older every day) and then it transforms into something which we get accustomed to, So why not destruction of the world.Because one can always expect a newer world to get created at the end of present creation. Because creation can never stop.
  25. You have figured out 2 significant points which I didn't mention while writing in favor of this opinion. Its both inadvisable and unwanted to create a mess by coaxing someone to do what he/she isn't actually intending to do. We create problems that way and not prevent it from happening so. Well that way also like if you allow gay marriages in society its still a marriage any way and not just partnership. Partnership sounds a bit like business collaboration.
