  1. Yeah its true its Oracle now but why I wrote Sun microsystems people as these changes were done by Sun Microsystems and at that time the company wasn't taken by Oracle people.
  2. The main question is what is actually can be termed as vegetarian? Anything that is being produced is non-veg and anything that is being produced by plants is veg.The logic you have put above to prove that eggs not mated with sperm i.e unfertilized eggs can be termed as something veg.The protein we get from eggs is termed as animal protein. In that context milk we get from cow isn't veg.I had read in an article true vegetarians in America consume milk extracted from soyabean seeds.
  3. Well then don't you concede that Christ had ever come to this earth or the same regarding Buddha? Again its not about equal explanations. Its about truth. As truth is always one and the same .There cannot be 2 or 3 versions of truth. If after investigating a murder mystery there comes 2 or more versions of truth then there happens to be some loopholes that has to sorted out. That is why we see that at the core of every religious teachings the same truth is being revealed. Why are you associating religion with some sort of crimes of burning women in the name of witches or murdering Muslims. Those acts are truly irreligious. The concept of religion commences from noble and pure thoughts and ends where brutality starts.About 90% people who call themselves as religious basically imposes their superstitions, selfish interests or brutality in the name of religion. But that really doesn't undermine the very purpose of religion. If something is truly unacceptable in terms of humanity then how can that be called as religious when religion is itself brought to dispel ignorance To put it simply Religion is not to go by some set of theoretical rules as is being said by a brahmin or a priest. But rather its to put faith on noble actions. As such I too see many flaws in every religion I happen to come across but then I know that religion isn't the version of some commoners posing before the society as the messenger of God.Religion isn't that a complex thing as it is taken to be.Its just to follow path of righteousness.
  4. Love is when someone feels happy in someone's happiness and sad when someone's sadness. That's what Buddhism and many other belief systems say. That love is only selfless and knows no words like being possessive, being attached or being attracted. In a college many boys can run after a girl who happens to have a stunning beauty. Many will say the famous 3 letter word 'I love you'. But if unfortunately for some reason her beauty gets spoilt due to some accident or extreme obesity say no one can be found out around her.
  5. There are 2 approaches towards goal achievement. The most popular one is that compete or loose your chances. When a child enters to school, the teacher makes that child believe that competition only will make you score high marks and achieve your goals thereby cherishing your parent's ambitions. After finishing education when that child becomes an employee his company also makes him compete with fellow colleagues. Many will put forth this view that competition only brings in the best product. But my view is too much of competition also degrades the quality of product, the quality of input as such. The whole of human society's progress is an outcome of association. The point where someone has left doing research another one has begun doing his work from there.
  6. Well may be I'm ignorant.May be associating something that is beyond our scope of explanation as almighty isn't the right way.But when we as part of human community has witnessed so many great souls coming to our earth taking birth as human beings in the past but possessing all divine qualities. Then as part of that human community there surely arises no question to bear doubts regarding God.I am not saying anyone to maintain low self-esteem.A very thin line separates between what we call as self prestige and ego. Self prestige is good and should be kept intact by everyone but egoism is harmful and going to perish both sides if both of them refuses to maintain their ego in check.
  7. Science is just the law of nature. This nature has been created by the creator in this form that's why we see things in that form.We see things going down by the pull of gravitation and we call it as theory of gravitation. You said science has increased our life expectancy.Well it has indeed done so.No question of ignoring that. But that is a gradual progression of our own ignorance to our own development of mind. When our ancestors were nomads they used to know nothing. But then gradually they observed the nature around them carefully and stated to make things work accordingly. Now I cite you 1 simple instance the computer we use everyday. At the core of it are the silicon chips that are used there. Silicon is an element gifted to us by our mother nature. If you look at the structure of silicon,it has got no free outer electrons to move between atoms so it isn't a good conductor of electricity. But by changing its nature a little bit through doping i.e by adding a little bit of foreign atoms we make p-type or n-type semiconductors and we successfully change its electrical conductivity property. So you see we are transforming the very things we got from nature. We aren't creating it from scratch.Science is just transforming the nature gifted elements by utilization the very law of nature itself. Just because we have understood so many facts of nature doesn't really make us stood above religion and God. Pardon me Sir but religion hasn't stopped the progress of science.Religion just makes us follow the path of righteousness. Religion isn't what some ignorant people belonging to a church or temple has preached just to fulfill their own selfish interest of making people believe in the nonsense statements put up by them so as to maintain their own autonomy. Like Brahmins in our Hindu society used to say that foreign travel over the sea is a serious kind of sin.Because they never wanted people of our country to travel overseas and witness the progress happening all around the world like The industrial revolution in 17th century after invention of steam engine. They are people who don't like to see truth because truth shakes the very position they have made in the society.
  8. I agree to the above mentioned point. First you need to check that whether she is really interested in you or just fooling you around. But since you refrained from messaging her and she messaged you so she might be interested in you but then her seriousness has to be checked out. If you really don't want to miss her then do meet if possible because without knowing a person properly you can't judge what the other person wants.
  9. Video games do come to us as an entertainment package. But this sort of entertainment is really making us waste a lot of time in something so unimportant. Those taking its side will say many words in favour of it.Like enhancing our thinking and analyzing ability, providing entertainment indoors itself to kids. But its shortcomings are so many.To point a few deviating a child's mind from studies, restricting a child to home when he should go out and play thereby promoting obesity and physical disorders, negligence towards parents, friends and relatives.A few hours entertainment through video games is truly OK but the problem is it becomes an addiction and they just stick to it. But as EquiPow pointed out that she works for about 10-40 hrs and playing video games refreshes her mind and then she doesn't compromise with her studies and maintains high grades then such sort of things are really commendable. If you yourself know your limits then such kind of entertainment sources are perfectly OK.
  10. I don't enjoy action movies leaving some of Hrithik Roshan's.But to me Horror movies rock. They put you in an ultimate thrill like situation where you can't imagine what's going to happen next. Some horror films put us in a challenge where it becomes really a matter of daring to watch it all alone in a dark room.
  11. Whatever that puts you in a good shape of mind is always a welcome.Like I cope up with any kind of mental pressures I am dealing with by simply listening to music. But the fact to get over attached isn't something that's so easy.We have a lot of attachments apart from the property we own the or house we reside. We also have attachments called our near and dear ones. Now you are fine with Buddhism.Though I am a Hindu but have read a lot of stuff called teachings of Buddha and I find them truly nice and satisfies my logical reasoning and there are really some that I found hard to understand. One of them I would like to specify here is that "Attachment is the near enemy of what we call as love." Its not just Buddha but the same in a different way has been told by Ramakrishna Parmahansa. The people around us whom we think we love are actually are attachments and attachment isn't love.Like I find it hard to bear if my mother stays far away from me.She is my life blood. She is my friend, my guide,my teacher my everything. But to great souls this again is attachment.
  12. The main problem is you don't believe in God and I do.Making you believe in God isn't something which I really want to impose on you.Because its an innate faith that comes from within. Those who believe in God ,its something like a beam of light falling on us.We can see the rays coming but without knowing the actual source. Can you please tell me how actually life comes in a baby?Though I am an engineering student and not a Medical one but still I know this much that our medical science can well explain the facts that how an egg gets fertilized, then how spinal cord formation starts even before the mother herself knows that she is pregnant e.t.c OK muscles forming, blood vessels forming, bones forming but this much is just a lump of flesh bearing no life.Where from the life is coming? A mother does give birth to a child but the life within that child is a gift of that unseen GOD. This huge universe is whose creation? About Bible I can't say much but I have read many teachings that Jesus has given.Teachings given by Jesus doesn't come to us as it is.Many a time his teachings are being tampered by commoners like us.Now Jesus gave emphasis on confession because real confession comes when one realizes that really he has done something sinful. Its truly meaningful as you have done something wrong and you don't realize it that it was wrong.A human being should be like a ping pong ball that strikes and bounces back.We can't be truly perfect but then we must come back to the right track.Well after confessing when we will be forgiven that again seems to be like a child being scolded for something and then given a chocolate for doing the right thing. Its not that playful its not the question of when and how we will be saved from the crimes we have committed. Its about the realization that comes from within and then making us transcend to a level where we will not repeat that same sin we had done in past.Because once one does something wrong it can't be changed like we in India say that an arrow that has gone out for striking someone can't come back, likewise an abuse made to someone can't be taken back.Even if you say sorry afterwards the impact made on that person for that very moment when he was hearing your abuses can't be removed. But saying sorry matters only when you realize genuinely that yes I have done wrong and I won't do that again and our way of apologizing should be so that it helps to heal that other person. Ego puts us in a situation where we see ourselves only and nothing comes in our sight.I haven't said egoistic people will be intellectual ones but some intellectual persons sometimes grow up to become egoistic.Don't you think its ego that makes someone hurl abuses when a single abuse has been directed towards him.Clapping of hands happen using 2 hands so contribution has to be from both sides. If one side remains calm other side will settle down .Who will make the first move remains to the person having lower ego. This very thought is ego that its me whom he is trying to hurt.So this thought doesn't let you to forget and eventually not to forgive.
  13. I agree with fermin25 fully, it has become an overdose of these social networking sites.Children really don't have any time to play a sport going outdoors or reading a wonderful novel or even sparing a good time with parents and grandparents. But they have enough time to chat with someone sitting somewhere in a different corner of the world. Its really a big question whether this generation children are getting enriched or spoiled through these sites.
  14. All the 4 topics you pointed out above are not just the teachings of Christianity but also the same kind of preachings have been given by Buddhism, Hinduism rather if you do an in depth study of almost all religious preachings underneath its all the same. Its truly nice to know that you mind really argues on these things. Before commenting too much on your listed points I would like to let you know that I am myself a religious minded person and do believe in existence of god in whatever form it be.Be it in the form of Maa Kali ,Durga, Allah,Jesus or Gautama Buddha that hardly matters to me as our basic notion of finding God in a church or Masjid or temple is truly baseless.Because my faith on something matters visiting a holy place or keeping fasts doesn't help. The problem is 90% people are truly superstitious as far as religion is concerned. It really sounds nice that you aren't superstitious.I believe in Socratic way of looking at religion where our mind questions and we are quite logical and rational.Socrates died and consumed poison but didn't chose to believe in something that was truly irrational.I believe in religion and God but not in superstitions. Now coming to your points 1) do we commoners really forget and forgive for every sin committed to us.Its only that almighty who really forgives our sins. We had exploited our mother nature to such a huge extent so as to achieve something that we call as progress. Despite the fact that this nature is the biggest gift we have received from the god.The amount of massive exploitations we have done in lieu of that aren't we really forgived? But then this must taken into account that whatever has been created has to get destroyed one or the other day. because after a destruction only a new beginning happens. 2)One can follow worldly considerations as much as possible but the day he would get tired he would himself follow Jesus on his own. 3)As much as forgiving is concerned.Talking about this reminds me of a childhood story rather a truth I learnt about Buddha. One day when Lord Buddha was meditating a person came behalf of him and spitted on his face.Lord Buddha then opened his eyes and paid thanks to him and said " because due to you today I have learnt to control my ego" .See there is a huge difference between we commoners and great souls like that of Jesus and Buddha. Our world is comprised of so many classifications.High class, middle class and lower class.Developing nation,Developed nation and Under developed nation. This again is a sort of classification but a classification at a higher level and definitely a real classification.Previous ones are just illusions because you can remain rich within this lapse of what is called as life and death. You can't transcend that limit. Your body is embodying a soul and that is neither rich nor poor, neither fair complexioned nor dark complexioned. Its just above all categorizations. This world is a playground of illusions when we attach ourselves to these worldly possessions our ego gets inflated.Even having a lot intellect inflates our ego.Our ego prevents us from forgiving others.Someone has thrown a stone towards you and you are retaliating and you are throwing a second stone towards him.Now if this process continues on and on both of you will end up lying in a pool of blood.I am not saying to be a coward.Cowardice is something even I think great souls will also not approve.Because I read somewhere cowardice is one of the greatest sins one can imagine of.You would definitely protest but there can be 101 ways of protesting. Don't you think doing the same kind of ill treatment drops us to the level of the person confronting us.If a dog barks on us we can't simply start barking. We also do have within us a Dog and a God. The choice to awaken one of them rests solely on us. 4)Definitely when you are thinking again and again about doing something Then just do it and see what comes as consequence. The consequences will teach you what's right and what's wrong. If you don't want to believe in Christianity don't believe in it rather don't believe in any religion because at the root every religion will teach you same thing.Life is a great teacher and it teaches everyone their share of truth.Be a constant observer and learn from the mistakes you make.
  15. Well I haven't actually gone through meditation. It sounds nice that you have been through all that.My idea about meditation is that if helps in mind concentration and definitely it refreshes your mind. But it is to be noted here that spiritualization is not just meditating.Although I am not an expert in this but as far as my understanding on this concept is concerned ,I have developed it after reading preachings of many great people, newspapers, magazines.Meditation is being done to help increase concentration and drive away distractions coming your way.But firstly the understanding of detachment from all materialistic happiness has to built up.
  16. The basic difference between JSP and javascript is that the former one is server side scripting and later one is a client side scripting.Client side scripting actually helps one to prevent the client form take an extra trip to the server. It stops the form from getting submitted at the very step if the validation fails. But server side validation happens at a much later stage and so doesn't prevent that round trip.
  17. Now its an innate realization that comes from within. If someone wants to stick to the life of constant striving then its his choice. But whats the harm in seeing things like you pay attention to your work itself keeping aside all other distractions.
  18. Its not about any religion specifically Buddhism,Hinduism,Christianity or Sufism. Its about our belief system that needs to be changed first. Once you come to this realization then any religion can help you out in attaining that ultimate peace. There was a quote by Ramakrishna Parmahansa in Bengali which if translated in English can be said like As there are different opinions so there are different ways.
  19. I do believe in rebirth. How ? its hard to give explanation regarding that but only one approach strikes my mind and that is after every end there is always a new beginning. The day light breaks after a dark night. Dalton's atomic theory states that nothing in this universe can be created nor can be destroyed, I read in class 7 science. May be that is true for atoms but then true death of soul never happens its just the body that changes forms.
  20. I am just putting this view that if craving makes someone so exhausted that it makes someone come down to a point where his quality of input gets degraded and he becomes deprived of peace and tranquility. Then whats the harm in leaving that way of approach.
  21. Whether a variable can be readable and editable or not is determined by its access specifier. If you specify public it can be edited and read from everywhere i.e from same package or different package. If you use default access specifier i.e when no access specifier is used with a variable like int a=1; then a can be accessed only within the same package. If you use protected access specifier i.e protected int b=1; then b can be accessed within same package and also different package but through inheritance only. private prohibits all of the above cases.
  22. 1)Firstly you must know that the basic difference between swing and AWT is that swing is truly lightweight And platform independent as it is truly written in java but AWT isn't lightweight as it isn't written wholly in java. 2)Then comes the total hierarchy describing which comes under which like java.awt.Container comes above then JComponent i.e the whole inheritance hierarchy describing which extends which. Then the difference between Top level window and low level window. Like java.awt.Window is a top level window then java.awt.Frame is a low level window as one can't add components directly to Window but can do it so in case of a Frame.3)Thirdly the various layouts available like gridlayout, gridbaglayout, cardlayout,Borderlayout4)Event handling is something which is very important both in case of awt and swing package. The various Listener interfaces being extended for various components like for handling JButton events ActionListener interface.5)Finally if you do a small project involving swing like filling up a student registration form and then inserting the data to a database it would be very easy to explain to the interviewer your concepts regarding swing.
  23. Though I am a beginner in struts but I am putting here my understanding of struts.Struts is a framework and not a technology. The reason why struts is a framework is it isn't bringing any new component. Its basically providing a new framework to handle Projects following MVC framework. Before understanding struts its necessary that you get yourself well acquainted with MVC framework- the model ,view and controller framework.Controller intercepts every user request and sends it to middle tier for further processing, View displays user input and also error pages if for certain reasons a request can't be fulfilled and Model deals with back end i.e database. In a big project if there isn't a clear separation between these 3 categories any modification made to any one of these categories in the future after completion of project or amidst project work can't be done without navigating through the whole project and this is undesirable. Now struts mainly focuses on Controller. All of the core components in it belong to Controller category. A controller mainly provides centralization of logic. If logic for deciding which page to navigate next(like if we go to page A there appears 2 hyperlinks one leading to page B and another to page C.Depending on which page we clicked it either leads us to B or C) is being determined in the present page then the project is truly decentralized and is hard to manage. Now if we centralize our project by using a servlet the following situation happens: If in a medium scale application if say suppose there are 15 JSP pages and each page has again 5 links. Then all total we have got 15*5=75 pages. Now for these 75 pages 75 if blocks will be needed in the doget() method of the Controller class. So now the Controller has turned up to become a really Fat Controller. This fat controller is being replaced with ActionServlet and struts-config.xml.Now within this struts-config.xml one can specify which page will come after a form is submitted or if an error happens which page will be displayed all using just tags.So the bulky code is being replaced with tags in xml and at the same time centralization is achieved as now if one wants to change the user registration page only you have to change the name under the <form-bean> tag.
  24. If you want to crave for anything and everything you want to achieve there is no problem in that go on doing that.Because I used to do a lot of craving in the past but now I have myself come to this realization that our focus gets lost when we crave for something again and again. If someones passion is just earning money and comfort through the work his performance will certainly degrade one or the other day.The quality of work done deteriorates after a certain stage of time.Because the day you cease to get rewards for the work done your interest level will certainly drop down. This is truly undesirable as this is not selfless work.Leave selfless work it can't be even called as passionate and dedicated towards the work.
  25. Interviews are a kind of battle that are usually conquered by people who are truly confident and not at all scared by this 'I' word. All your preparations regarding interviews ranging from dressing sense to etiquette or how are you carrying yourself will prove to be just vague and worthless if you get too much scared about it.Always try to think like this that joining a prestigious institute for studies or a high profile company for job can be your ultimate goal but life does't end only because a person named so and so has happened to miss an opportunity to get into some institute.Throw away such thoughts and notions from mind as there is always a new beginning after every end.The more you will stick to this very thought that will I be able to cross this brink the more a useless person you would be transforming in.Moreover its said only God knows what is really good for us? Neither we ourselves nor our parents can actually reveal which is good for us.Many a time we see people joining a particular field by fluke. Then they happen to realize with passage of time that they had hidden talents in those fields also.Look at interviews as opportunities rather than as nightmares as if you pass it you will gain access to something you wanted to be in and if not you have to learn from the failure and move on to the next interview that happens to come your way.As life should be a continuous process of learning and not sticking to something and barring the very way of progress.
