Hi! Guys, I need your help in how to install themes in Linux. Must first say that am a newbie in Linux. The distribution am using is Ubuntu Linux 6.06 (Draper Drake?).Downloaded a theme from https://www.gnome-look.org/browse/ord/latest/ .I downloaded a Mac OS theme (https://www.gnome-look.org/browse/ord/latest/content/show.php?content=13548 ). They told me to copy it to /themes directory but I do not have any idea where this /theme folder is located. I searched for it and \user\themes (I am not sure?) but in that directory the paste button is inactive. People please help, in installing this theme. How do I do it?

Can this bug be utilised for some type of malicious use. I am not really sure, but think about running this automatically while opening the source file in INTERNET explorer will open another file.Very poor.I find it very funny that this bug is not fixed even after many years of release.I don't have INTERNET explorer v7 so I haven't checked with that.Does this bug present in INTERNET explorer 7 too?

I am an Opera fan (not a fanboy), I have seen many people who run Opera as thier main browser on Linux.And many of them said it is the only proprietary software product that they are running on thier machine.

Yes it is really beautiful.But it is heavy on my age old dial up connection.So I am now using http//http://www.netvibes.com/en As it is easy on my connection.I have tried it when I have seen it in Teccrunch.Will try more about it while I get a gppd connection. For now I will stick with http://www.netvibes.com/en. Windows Live is also good.But it is also bandwidth heavy

I have used this some months back when I heard about it in another forum.But It is good for running programs that you are not really sure about what it is going to do.It will slow down the application too.As I am using Opera I really don't need this but will come handy If I want to test something I am not sure of.

I think he can use Windows XP Installation CD and use the Recovery Console, that is the best and easiest way.Only problem is that you must have a Windows XP installation CD with you.

I don't commented about the usefulness of the "Google Web Search Engine", what I said is about their start page.There are better looking and working alternatives out there.I don't know about their stocks because it is not listed in my country and the stock price will increase and decrease.As a user I don't have to mind that.I use google search engine but I am not a fan of their start page.Just try out Pageflakes,Netvibes,webwag etc. In my opinion Windows Live, pageflakes and Netvibes are the best.Making things "simple" is not a simple task, even though I don't have broadband connection I felt very nice while using non google start pages.I don't want to start an argument with you.Just try some of the services I have suggested and please post your review(s) here, I will review Google IG and will post it here. Opera do not have any such problems it work flawlessly and efficiently.Both Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.0 become vulnerable within weeks of their public release.As things get popular new security loop holes will be discovered, it is same for windows too.

I don't know real life driving nor I am interested in racing games (I never win those ).But I have read in Reader's Digest that playing computer games will increase your concentration while doing regular tasks like driving.May be it will also effect the real life driving, like turning changing gears, applying brakes etc

I have never seen a Blue Screen Of Death while using XP.About the new colour scheme it makes no difference.Making Error messages more cosemetic LOL

Don't advice me about asking at the forums I don't find the people there really helpful, I have tried such options but response is very low (at most times zero).But I will learn Linux because I am determined but I won't be able to make it come my way. I really didn't find "any" need for replacing my Windows box to Linux. Are you telling that burning CDs is a light task.Anyway you need a CD-RW then why stream data from another continent and slow the whole process down.If people start to use it so massivly it will not be a viable business idea too.May be they can survive using advertising revenue..but if it becomes intrusive in some way thier business is DEAD.

I have seen it in Gamer TV it looks really good.The new Nintendo game controller is amazing with it.

Google Cache=An alternate copy of the web.The archive.org also caches tons of information for seeing it later.I have found many good resources via it.But it is slow sometimes, almost all search engines cache the pages(Google,Yahoo!,Gigablast,MSN/Live ?? etc..etc).So there is an alternate copy.

I have tried this to just to experiment..it is relatively easy after you understand the concepts of it.No programming experience is required.I have read in a magazine that a 12 year old develops games using this and share it.Don't expect to create DOOM 3 these are simple games meant for just time pass OR a one time playing.I thought about making something but didn't got a good idea for making it into a reality.Will check this out once I get a good idea(???)

I think what he intended to say is that it is not possible to do everything in GUI mode in Linux...I also have the same opinion as him because the Linux command line is not really easy to master..and I felt the documentation is also very hard to understand.Getting help on Linux is also difficult Leave advanced users everyone who needs to burn a CD(OR DVD, Blu-Ray , HD-DVD ???) can't use such services successfullly because it will be incredibly slower.Then where can it be used In my view it will only be useful for business users who need to share documents and access text data and like.From what we are seeing Google is developing sucha thing, I think the Google Spreadsheet etc are just the parts of an unfinished jig saw.They will include more and more applicaation to it and finally after they develop everything they will make it as a suite and will offer an integrated sulution and collaboration enviornment for business users.

I like foobar and Windows Media Player..In my opinion iTunes is very bad unless you have an iPOD.If you are looking for something lite I deenitely reccomends foobar 2000, but I must warn you that it is not graphically rich it is really advanced and have loads of plugins.Why I like Windows Media Player is that in the 11 th edition it is very good looking and the search functionality is really improved to find my songs.The auto playlist creator is good.More over it can be used to play Videos too.So I don't want to install many applications and bloat my PC.[EDITED BY XBOXRULZ: deleted the doubled paragraph]

But Maxthon is really a great browser that sits upon the Internet Explorer engine, it uses a very little memmory and is vey stable.It also have features like ad blocking etc..
