ZeroHawk replied to eyzzat's topic in General Discussion
I didn't like w3 schools when I learned html. But their easy editor is cool if your learning and experimenting. When I learned HTML I used codepunk.hardwar.org.uk and http://www.htmlgoodies.com/. You can also find java on both sites. Good luck with learnin and have fun with it. -
I didnt find that funny at all. Haven't heard of any other ones, either.

Sry if this is posted in the wrong placeI was at Futureshop a few days ago. I noticed that C&C Generals (a PC game, if you dindt know) cost $40. Its expansion cost $25. So thats 65$ together. Recently, C&C: The First Decade was released, which contains 12 C&C games, including Generals and its expansion fo rthe price of... $60!So, if you buy Generals and the expansion alone, you pay $65, but if you buy The First Decade, you get it $5 cheaper AND get 10 other games. Can you say bad pricing? Maybe Futureshop was gambling on the fact that people wouldnt expect Generals to be in First Decade... But thats still no excuse...

Which Control Panel? choosing your control panel
ZeroHawk replied to adly3000's topic in General Discussion
Ive seen another control panel (forgot what its called) and Cpanel is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Its just easy to figure out. Withe that other panle took me half an hour to find the directory your site needs to be in... And images wont show... -
I want a guestbook for my other site but... There are seriously thousands... Anyone here know of a good one? Prefarably one that you can have on your own site... Unless its a pretty good remotely hosted one...And a hit counter? Once again there are like millions... Dont need detailed stats for it just a desent counter...

C&C The First Decade has recently been released. Its a collection of every C&C game ever made (12 in total, all on 1 DVD). And it has some bonus features & movies. If your a strategy fan, I recomend it. C&C are some of the best in the genre, and you wont find Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert in stores anymore. I might buy it, but I already have some C&C games. Shame they wont make a new game though...

Age Of Empires 3 Age Of Empires 3 from Microsoft
ZeroHawk replied to Goosestaf's topic in Computer Gaming
Ya the base faction is the same, all nations are just modified. Except for Ottoman, thats quite different. So theres not that much to the factions really... The story in AOE3 is kinda odd... From the start... Ottomans attack St John Knights outposts, then you go to New World (North America) and then you start getting into an ancient circle of alchemists and eternal lif and the lake of the moon which supposedly has special powers... And thats the 1st few missions... At least it tries to be original... -
I dont really like realism much in games. Take NHL Hits 2003 for example. Sports games usually try to be realistic, but Hitz strays way away from that. You can play hockey in a car factory, a barn, have players set on fire, and get rewarded for fighting. And its the funnest sports video game Ive played. When I play games, I wanna forget about reality. I wanna have fun. There are many games that have great graphics or are realisitc, but aren't that fun and therefore aren't that great of a game (according to me). To be honest, most (like 8 out of my top 10) of my favorite games are over 10 years old. Before they had realisitc graphics. They just are more... fun. For me its all about enjoying the game, and I find that "realism" takes away from that enjoyement often. Sometims I think that people are forgetting that video games are supposed to be fun. Thats what they started as: entertainment, not art. Good art can help a game be more fun, but too much focus on art and gfx... And so on...

My Guestbook And Spam do you have the same problem?
ZeroHawk replied to Peaktao's topic in General Discussion
Or you can make it that if a post has a link you have to approve of it like what rvalkass did but more strict. -
Ive heard thats a really good game. This'll give Xbox players a chance to play it. It seems more like a PC type of game than a console game to me, but thats me. Youll probably need a really good graphics card to run it.
-
Why would you wanna try it out? Being able to hit every shot is self explanatory. Plus you can get yourself banned. I dont understand why people cheat, it doesnt make it more fun for you and ruins the fun for others. Slightly off topic but there used to be a clan called [AiM] for this game and there was this guy called [AiM]Bot. Thats a pretty cool name.

What A Dork Really Is.... What a Dork really is....
ZeroHawk replied to Moolkye's topic in General Discussion
LOL thats pretty funny. Now Im going to use "dork" as an insult more often. Wiki sources arent alwas accurate. Interesting and unusual topic. -
Gravedigging! Dont do that! Altough this is an interesting thread.I like to play hockey, play video games, draw comics, make funny movies, and... get in trouble but not get caught. The adrenalin rush of knowing the trouble i could get in, the wind in my hair as i run off at top speed, and the memories Well i dont do anthing bad or harmful but things that could potentially get me in some trouble ))

Heroes V Open Beta: launched today on fileplanet
ZeroHawk replied to LocalSeer's topic in Computer Gaming
SWEET! I was really dissapointed in AoE III, hopefully this will live up to my expectations. Ive been waiting for this game since... December? Heroes III was great, hopefully this will be just as fun. Though Im a little disapointed with the Sylvan and Dungeon factions (something like thet, the dark elves) but the Academy and Necropolis look sweet. And the angels look cool. The site is taking an inredibly long time to load for me Go to http://www.celestialheavens.com/ for info on the factions. -
Thats pretty nice. Id say maybe you should make the "enter site" button a bit bigger and more noticable on the 1st page.

June 6th 2006 - The Devils Number Possibly the end of the world?
ZeroHawk replied to Kubi's topic in General Discussion
I think that the Twin Tower plane crash was on 9/11 was not a coincidence. Maybe the terrorists chose 9/11 bue to 911 being the emergency phone #. And now I finally know where 666 as the number of the beast comes from. Ive always wanted to Revelations but then I always thought it may contain some insights I may not want to know. -
Favorite Gaming Moment wether it was in a fps, rts or a mmo
ZeroHawk replied to Mr.Duckie's topic in Computer Gaming
Welll there was this time where I was watching my friend play Monster Hunter (a ps2 zelda style rpg) and he was climbing a vine on a cliff and he said he'll laugh his *bottom* of if a dinosaur jumped up and dragged him off. A few seconds later, a dino jumps up, hits my friend, and he goes flying off. I laugh my *bottom* off, he kinda laughs. Also, in Monster Hunter, there are these large flying wasp/ hornet type enemies with scorpion tails. When they attack, they brink their stinger tails back, pause, then thrust them forward. So anyway one of these guys sneaks up behind my friend and does the stinger attack and hits my friend right in his rear end. Seeing as you start off in only boxers, that made it so much funnier. Although its one of those "you have to see it" moments. -

This is EA here. They are more about the money. What did you expect form EA? Many other companies would give that stuff out for free... They killed Westwood Studios, which they owned. Funny, Westwood was one of those companies that focused more on the community. And the Mark Skaggs C&C thing (check out this article:http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ , might not be true but makes great sense) Many people who owne the game will be really disappointed...

June 6th 2006 - The Devils Number Possibly the end of the world?
ZeroHawk replied to Kubi's topic in General Discussion
Then why did the world not end on June 6th 666 ? Plus its 6-606 so its really 6606. And why is 666 the number of the devil? I dont really care, but why does the devil have his number anyway? Who decided so? Who made it 666 instead of lets say 777? (i probably wont get an answer) As for the messing up our world thing, Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes qoutes sum it up nicely: "Its an outrage how grown-upshave polluted the Earth! I refuse to inherit a spoiled planet! Im leaving!" "Acid rain, toxic waste, holes in the ozone, sewage in the oceans, and on and on! The only bright side is that someday there may not be a piece of the planet worth fighting over." "The surest sign intelligent life is out there is that it hasnt tried to make contact with us." That was one of the greatest comics over: very realistic point of view but still funny. C&H are great, shame Bill Watterson is done with em.
