  1. Hopefully you reported this user to ebay and not give it him. Although I am shocked that you were not part of the 6000 bids of $50,000 or more on ps3. Since everyone who was every made sure no one could sell their PS3 for about $2500-$3000.Speaking of which Dr. Phil did an episode about these scames (love related) had to record it, had school that night but of course it never taped properly. go figure.but these scams have been going on since the 90s and they won't stop. Because some people are ignorant on the fact that they think these are legit.
  2. I suggest you get a hold of Microsoft or a very good computer hacker to crack it because if you can't recover it from normal means then that folder is lost.So get a hold of M$ first see what they can do. now if it cost you more then free. then find a good legal hacker to crack it for you.
  3. Did you roast some marshmallows while you were up there?Bet you in shorts and a t-shirt most of the time. :lol:Of course that is one thing I like many others wouldn't do and that is walk on an active volcano, who knows when that bad boy could blow up. When I was in Washington State the military base I was on was about 26 miles from a non active volcano. Of course we got word that some crazy stuff was going on. Mostly micro-earthquakes from what I remember. so did you bring back any rocks from the volcano at all?
  4. Ahh the solution is simple do the uploads in small groups if you do more then like 3-400 files in shout the server will cut off because of the load your giving the server to handle.so do it in groups of 5-10 and you won't get the cut off. I gotten the cut off plenty of times to figure out why.
  5. Financially it will be impossible to, like you mention tractor people are spending millions or even billions just to get to fly into outer space or some cases were gravity no longer exsist in the earth atmosphere.Of course makes you think their won't be problems on the moon, heck the biggest terrorist threat someone could pull is, damage the the gravity system, air supply or the plastic bubble that would surround the moon colonies.Of course once we figure out how to make thinks a hell of lot cheaper then they are now then maybe the financial problems will go away. Again the crime that could happen is immeasurable.
  6. My favorite classic book of all time was Winne the pooh, as a kid I would read it to mother (aaaaw). Although I can't really get into the classic anymore, most likely the lack of time to read them. I still like to talk about them from time to time.
  7. Like the many other big email topics that have been made the only thing useful on email accounts this big is to store files nothing more Of course why waste all that money on huge storage servers when people can just buy a $60-80 external hard drive that has 80-100gigs on and put everything thing there?
  8. Yeah well semester finals are coming up and been working on them ( not really took a weekend break from them ) Good luck in making images smaller....speaking of funny this should help make them smaller unless you already have a game plan for that. http://www.keynote.com/ Just make sure your image slices are very tight so not to make any errors when it comes times to css them. Will have to work on a tutorial for something like that.
  9. I did some digging and found a few sites one of them being from apple in which they mention about the bad Sony batteries so I would check to see if you battery matches these numbers at all. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ So I assume that you bought your computer at a store if so that warranty maybe up but you should be able to purchase a new warranty from apple's main site since they made the computer. Or did you ask apple already? if so what a rip right there. But from the looks of it http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ you will be spending about that much for a new battery Now I did find this at the apple site you can purchase a warranty for your computer yeah it's about $100 but for 3 years you are better off that way. http://www.superwarehouse.com/Apple_AppleC52LL_A/p/123470 Hopefully this helps and it should with your battery problems.
  10. It's funny that I won the tech forum award even though I barely post in that forum. Thanks albus :rolleyes:If anything I want my comedian of the year, albus and pleno are just getting to where I started. That is the already funny guy, so Vote fore me Saint-Michael Comedian of the Year or you will get a cream pie thrown in your face. :)Although pleno you did forget a few names, regardless if they got mentioned once they should have been included in the final voting poll. Maybe in 2007 we can tie up the loose ends on the award nominations and voting.Well good luck to everyone else.
  11. I would go with either Demo A or Demo CHere are some suggestions to fix the demo'sDemo A-Put in a few Gradient effects to get that extra something-Put another bar like you got up top on the bottom.Demo B-Only way to fix that if you use a that color for a full background and it will be more completedDemo C-move the member log in under or on top of the nav menu within the same block area and then fill in the gap with the content area-drop that one header (huntix) and put the one you have in the content area up there.btw give me the girl in demo A phone number :rolleyes:Other then that they do look good.Did you photoshop the layouts or pure code?EDIT: I guess I am to late but the final design looks good.
  12. Almost sounds like some wires got fried or problem with your cables, if so replace your cables first then try it and see if that works. If it is the battery your warranty should still cover it and in that case your replacement is free. If you don't have a warranty instead of buying an expensive battery then pay for a 1-2 year warranty and then get your stuff replace as such.So no only will you be saving some money it will get you computer protected for 1-2 years.
  13. Nick either way you cut it, you will need to set up a redirect. So for what your asking you would either purchase new domains and redirect that way or set up sub-sub domains in the add-on domains section in your cpanel. To answer your second question yes when your parking your domain in your Xisto cpanel it will point to that TLD. The next part it could be done in the redirect but you would have to set up a php navigation script like so http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Hopefully that helps you out nick.
  14. Don't know much about it But here are a few sites that could help in setting up video streaming and what not. Google word combination "how to stream videos through flash" I highly recommend this site since It gives a better breakdown on how to set it up http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Also make sure to check out macromedia's website out they should have how-to's on setting up streaming video's .
  15. UPDATED LINK: NO LONGER A VALID LINK I thought I give everyone an update on my pure css site. Well for one when I started writing the tutorial found out that made a mistake on the fluid design so basically as I am writing this tutorial I am doing it by scratch or at least adjusting the code to the new design. So instead of going all over the place I am doing one section at a time. So I did the header and that was fun to adjust for the most part. So as you can in ff it is fine but if you opera, IE, nescape (for those who use it). it goes all screwy. Netscape I can easily fix since it is a padding issue but opera and ie it's a position thing so any suggestions on what I should change. CSS @media print {#twocols,#maincol {width:100%;float:none;}#leftcol,#rightcol {display:none;}}/* generated by csscreator.com */html,body {text-align:center;margin:0;padding:0;}/* Main Body */#pagewidth {width:95%;text-align:left;margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;}/* Header */#header {position:relative;height:243px;background-color:#33729d;width:100%;}/* Header Image */.img-header {background:url("logo.jpg");background-repeat:no-repeat;border:solid 0;position:relative;top:-52px;clear:both;float:left;width:957px;height:100%;margin:0;padding:0px;}/* Nav Menu replacement */.container2 {background:url("navbar.jpg");background-repeat:no-repeat;position:relative;top:180px;left:0px;border-bottom:solid 1px;width:957px;height:21px;margin:0;padding:0;}/* Header Text Container */.site-slogan-container {width:330px;height:130px;position:absolute;top:50px;z-index:1;overflow:hidden;padding-right:15px;background-color:transparent;margin:0;}.site-slogan {float:right;width:700px;background-color:transparent;font-size:10px;margin:0;padding:0;}.site-slogan p.title {float:right;width:700px;color:#000;font-family:arial, sans serif;text-align:right;font-weight:700;font-size:220%;margin:0;padding:0;}.site-slogan p.subtitle {clear:both;float:right;width:700px;color:#000;font-family:arial, sans serif;text-align:right;font-weight:700;font-size:200%;margin:-5px 0 0;padding:0;}.site-slogan p.text {clear:both;float:right;width:700px;color:#000;font-family:arial, sans serif;text-align:right;font-weight:700;line-height:1em;font-size:140%;margin:10px 0 0;padding:0;}.site-slogan p.readmore {clear:both;float:right;width:700px;color:#000;font-family:arial, sans serif;text-align:right;font-weight:700;line-height:1em;font-size:120%;margin:10px 0 0;padding:0;}.site-slogan a {color:#000;text-decoration:underline;}.site-slogan a:hover {text-decoration:none;color:#000;}/* Search Box */.container {position:relative;top:-54px;margin-top:0;margin-left:760px;color:#EFEFEF;}input.blue {background-color:#33729d;font-weight:700;font-size:12px;color:#000;border:solid 1px;}input.blue1 {background-color:#33729d;font-size:10px;color:#000;border:solid 1px;}/* Top Nav Menu - Menu Tabs 10--------------------------- */#tabs10 {float:left;width:100%;font-size:93%;border-bottom:1px solid #000;line-height:normal;position:relative;top:-32px;}#tabs10 ul {list-style:none;margin:10px;padding:10px 10px 0 50px;}#tabs10 li {display:inline;margin:0;padding:0;}#tabs10 a {float:left;background:url("tableft10.gif") no-repeat left top;text-decoration:none;margin:0;padding:0;}/* Commented Backslash Hack hides rule from IE5-Mac \*/#tabs10 a span {display:block;background:url("tabright10.gif") no-repeat right top;color:#FFF;float:none;padding:5px 15px 4px 6px;}/* End IE5-Mac hack */#tabs9 a:hover span {color:#FFF;}-->#leftcol {width:140px;float:left;position:relative;left:0;background-color:#33729d;border:solid 1px;}#twocols {width:81.5%;float:right;position:relative;}#rightcol {width:140px;float:right;position:relative;left:0;background-color:#33729d;border:solid 1px;}#maincol {background-color:#33729d;float:left;display:inline;position:relative;width:77%;border:solid 1px;}#footer {height:150px;background-color:#33729d;clear:both;border-top:solid 1px;}/* *** Float containers fix: [url="https://csscreator.com/attributes/containedfloat.php"]csscreator.com/attributes/containedfloat.php; 16. although I couldn't find a direct answer by the looks of it form this other site you have to set the loop to 0 to play it once.
  17. The hard drive went, That happens to me before when I tried reinstalling on my Compaq lap a few years ago. It almost sounds like the cdrom drive went as well. But if this is a completely brand new system then Toshiba got dome questions to answer, if not replace the hard drive and cd-rom drive and it should be working again.
  18. what kind of problems have you been getting from smartftp, usually the solutions is easy to figure out.
  19. rvalkass Plenoptic TEECEE06 MICH Pick the best design for this years Xisto awards winner banner.
  20. Although both languages are server languages ASP is geared more towards businesses then for regular use. While Php can be used for both it's usually good for independent/fun sites.
  21. At trap these are the current prices for purchasing hosting credits. 18.5 credits per dollar-$10.00 18.25 credits person-$20.00 16.6 credits per dollar-$30.00 18.25 credits per dollar-$40.00 Since most likely Xisto is using the same plan for purchasing credits then what I showed you will be right on the breakdown.
  22. @leafbunk to you question their was a good heated discussion both here and on trap about Pluto get kicked off the starting line up.I disagreed with the fact they kicked Pluto out and saying it's not big enough . If that was the case mercury would be kicked out and we be done to 7.@kardus the answer it that the red spot is also a hurricane like storm like the the one that was discovered.
  23. I yahoo this answer although good had many version with no concrete answer it but this is the process of changing the time zones.change the timezone in SMF:Admin ? Features and Options ? Overall time offset and then adjust accordingly. Also If i remember correctly in the profiles you can change the clocks as well.
  24. what about Archimedes death ray (for those who watch the myth busters), if we were to compare intelligence the Greeks and Romans would have todays genius look like morons. I don't even think Stephen Hawkins and his 200+ IQ could match wits with them, it be close but I would give it to them.Of course whats funny most of what the Greeks and Romans made or have invented benefited mankind and most of the stuff we have made is destroying mankind. That could be a very small reason why the Roman Empire collapse such as it did. Because they have been in control for so long their was no need to update their weapons or the way wars where done.
