  1. wow, at about above $600 price range I'm sure this will be a very powerful graphics card, if you can afford this then you are one rich man, $600 for a graphic card would be too impractical for me but if you really think this will bring you satisfaction then go for it but before doing that and just what other people have mentioned, check the system requirements first and make sure that your current system will be able to handle this one powerful card.I'd love to have that on my system though but only if it's free lol!
  2. being under 18 is really a pain if you want to do some purchases in the net but I'm sure there's some work around with this, I too do love some stuff being offered online and though I think I can afford them I cannot purchase because I dont have a credit card nor a paypal account, I actually dont hate it because on this condition I can actually save more and be able to buy things that are more important than the ussual stuff I wanted to buy.
  3. seems like a nice alternative for those who are in low budget, I have not used skype to phone though and would love to try but I just can't get a hold of skype credits to be able to do this so for now, it's pc to pc for me.
  4. the device simply put is actually a standalone peer to peer downloader with some added "features", not much it can do that can't be done by a computer so I guess this will not be that popular in the long run.
  5. though the idea of fitness or exercises being integrated on the game is good I still would go to the normal way of doing my exercises, if you want a healthy body you need to have discipline and not depend on some games that will provide you that, but if it helps others that there's nothing wrong with that, it's just not for me.
  6. in case the problem is still not solved I would start from the very beginning again, remove all components then install them again one at a time. First is the CPU and its fan only, power it on, usually a beep or error message will be heard, if you got some beep then chances are your board and CPU is fine, install now the memory and the video card then see if you can get the system to display. Now if when the CPU is installed and the system does not give you anything then this would be the time to contact newegg, again it could be your cpu or the board.
  7. as previously mentioned if you have components lying around such as CPU, memory and AGP then use them for the swapping purposes. First remove all the components of your board then start only with the very basic, only your boot drive, CPU, memory and the AGP, start the system and check if you can get Windows to load, if still not I would first try swapping the power supply then the agp. During this time keep the PC case open just to eliminate the possibility of thermal issues causing this.
  8. what I would do first on this situation would be removing any other PC connected on the hub, this is of course if you have a hub in place for your two computers. Now use the connection directly from your internet service provider to your newly reinstalled computer and see if you will get the same problem.
  9. It has always been two things for me when it comes to processors. If I will be buidling desktop system my priority would be AMD, in terms of price and performance it's really right in there however for notebooks I still will not touch AMD, at least for now, notebook PC's are prebuilt which means you have a limited resources to work on your system when problems such as thermal issues arise.
  10. nice one you have there, I have been looking for this for some time and just downloaded your suggestion, I'll check it now. thanks
  11. there is a good album generator free for download an lots of template for you to use, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but you can check it out, it is called jalbum and I have used this one my site and it works great, user friendly and lots of options to choose from.
  12. I agree, imation seems to be late on this, Ipods and other companies are now way ahead of them, it would be best to buy some notebook hard drives put it in a USB adaptor then boom you now have an external drive with higher capacity, if you want those tiny storage then go to flash drives.
  13. good to know that your hard drive is still working after all those tests that you have done, most important thing in taking care a hard drive is as much as possible avoid stressing it and it seems it passed with flying colors, now I hope you won't put any unwanted stress on it when it is running, thats another story.
  14. I have used some normal flash mp3 players before and I can say that they are fine with me, however I am now waiting for my Nano to come, have not used IPOD before so this will let me know if all the hype on Ipods are true, hope I wont be disappointed.
  15. i've used skype and I can say that this is a pretty good application and best of all it is free, quality is great and I think this technology will be all around us soon, compared to normal telephone lines they say that voip is much cheaper.
  16. thats a pretty good looking mouse, apple has been in the market for long and one factor for that is on how they can make their products appealing to the eyes, simple, elegant and beautiful, this mouse has all those characteristics and to know that it works like a touchscreen is an added attraction, the only problem is price, $49 for a mouse is a bit pricey, at least for me
  17. as I read from the other topic yes this is now confirmed and we just need to wait till these machines reaches the market and users, I'd love to have one, I wish I can
  18. thats a pretty neat specification considering that this is only a notebook and with Intel now as Apples partner and chip manufacturer I'm sure we will be treated with more mouth watering technologies in the future. My only wish though is they lower the price even a bit so that many can afford these awesome machines
  19. I am expecting google to this even before and now that they are into it Microsoft should now have work doubly hard. Google has proven that they can be a player in this market and it will really be good to us users for we do have choices, as they say always say, the more the merrier
  20. Hard drives be it as internal or external are just a part of a system, in that system is where you need to install the protections such as firewall or antivirus, once that system is protected then the drives that you will be connecting to it will be automatically protected too.
  21. well mine actually came from my savings and salary, I saved for almost three months just to be able to put up my first desktop and after a couple of years I was able to build one again for my family members, after a year again I bought myself a notebook which I currently use for everyday computing.Nothing special really, just plain hardwork and sweat to get what I wanted to have.
  22. yes yours is pretty much a techie family for me, imagine a notebook in kitchen and notebook in bathroom??? what is actually the purpose of putting them there? Can I ask what do your family normally do in these computers?
  23. First of, if you can buy additional memory then do this, 256MB is way low for me if your are doing some heavy application on your system.Next is try to check the status of your system, defrag your hard drive, use a good spyware remover as well as antivirus, make sure there's not so much program open that you really not need.
  24. just like search engines, Google has beated MSN and Yahoo again, for now Google Map is way to good compared to these two though.I just wish they can broaden their support area and offer more countries, but all in all the winner here is us the users, we can freely choose and dump any of them if their service will not match our own preference
  25. On this new computer did you just swapped the hard drive with Windows previously installed on your Dell System? In case yes then this one is the reason why you are getting error messages. Different motherboard model requires different drivers and resources from Windows so if you just swapped hard drives, problems will normally appear, the hard drive is obviously still bearing the old resources of your dell system and Windows is now actually trying to look for the correct resources for the new board, if this cannot be found then boom conflicts and error message will be there. I suggest save your important files then perform a full format of the hard drive and fresh install Windows as well as the required drivers by your new board. This should save you some headaches. On the beeping at POST, try removing the CPU fan and put it back again, this is one way to make sure that you have correctly and properly installed it and it touches the CPU die, yes I also think the beeps might have something to do with thermal issues.Goodluck and let us know any result.
