This is a good way to format the hard disc. It is not wise to make a partition on the hard disk to use as a backup space. When the hard disk crashes all information can be lost. This includes the files on the seperate partition.

This is the harder since there seems to be not much discussion going on on the forum today. So the question arises if post for host is outdated. Since there are a lot of topics from 2005 and other years in the past it is a bit hard to watch all the topics to see if there is a post about the same subject that crossed the mind in 2010. The information from 2005 is not that interesting most of the time. So it is not usefull to search the complete forum to see if there was a topic about almost the same topic like 5 years ago.

Like The Simpleton states in the profile the forum Xisto was offline for some time today. I posted some comments on the forum about the possibility to find a link with a virus on the forum. Next thing that happened was that it was impoossible to enter the forum. So it seemed the ban of the moderator hit me. Another possibility was that the forum was offline. So the post of The Simpleton confirms this possibility. The question rises if this forum is often offline. Or was this a rare occasion?

The purpose of Microsoft is that people, especially owners of a company, can find out if they want to change their operating program to Windows 7. This can be done before making expenses and costs. Free illegal and pirate copies and versions of Windows 7 can be easily found on the Youtube. So there is no specific reason to promote a link to an illegal version over here. The fear to download a virus will be present anyways. It would not be surprising if the moderators of this forum will act very severely when an user of the forum would post a link that downloads a virus. The same impression rises about the link to a pirate and copied version of a program. It seems this will not be allowed either. The above is a part of my opinion. Actually the idea is to do somebody a favour. The idea is to supply somebody with the opportunity to download and use Windows 7 for free. Where is the option to register for MyCents? Beside the post of another user there is a number that indicates the amount of MyCents the user has. Beside my post I don't discover a number of MyCents. So I guess that I have to register somewhere to get MyCents. But it isn't clear to me where I can register to earn the MyCents.

To avoid phone costs it is cheaper to send the help desk an email. If it is worth to give a lot of efforts to get the security code depends of the time and the service attached to it.
