Nooo! I'd NEVER compare it to chemistry! Its not that hard to get PAN actually. There's actually a government site where you can apply and you'll get it directly without any hassle. I'm not even sure about the procedure I took as I did it with a bunch of people and things just happened and we all got our cards. You really should get your PAN card soon though. You've got nothing to lose anyway!

I was among the people who compared it to matrix too. But my comparison is not in the story or the concept. Its more of the out-worldness and its kinda hard to tell the genre of this movie. Having seen it really early, I had so many people asking me "Whats the genre" that I had to compare it to matrix to answer them without giving away any spoilers. Its not really your "Romantic comedy" or "Psychological thriller" movie. Its much much more!

I saw it. And I simply loved it!! The whole reason I didn't want to start a topic was that spoilers were bound to creep up, and I'm sure some of our overly curious friends will not be able to resist a peek And yes, the thing I liked best about the movie was that it beat my expectation everywhere. I would predict an event, and the movie will have an even better event happening. Now I'm not a director or anything but you've gotta agree movies have become way too predictable, but this one was good. Sure, there were a few "Oh ya ... that was obvious" but there were a whole lot more that were better. For instance, the whole "Is this real or is it a dream?" part was just awesome! He's given us enough reasons for both and showed us that its not your average movie. One other kick I get from the movie is when people come to me and tell me that they had trouble following the movie. I get to show off by explaining the things they don't understand to them Of course, there's this guy I know who was so clueless about the movie that he made me give up explaining the movie to people. But yes, if you want to post spoilers or poke riddles or wanna just discuss the movie, go ahead and shoot! It sure will be fun!

Yes, a pan card is kind of like your social security number I guess. Its something technically every citizen should have, stands for Personal Account Number or something.@Asker:I dunno. I think you can get the number from any of your friends/relatives who are not going to use paypal and use their PAN instead. Just go into your account and rename yourself to their name which shouldn't be too hard. Of course they'll technically have to pay tax and if you don't want that to happen you don't really have a choice. Thats probably one of the reasons they chose this method

It looks like the electronic withdrawals are back! I got a mail from paypal saying I can withdraw funds electronically as well as request a cheque. And that the 0$ cheque still stands in place. Good news I'd say

So, if we could just spy on a bunch of people and wait for them to die ( I know it sounds cruel, but its science!) in their sleep, and see whether we can use REM to make new findings on this subject. ok i din't read the posts subsequent to this one, but I hope I won't be repeating what people said earlier. My point of view would be that its the best thing that ever happened to you. I really think everything in life adds value to you as experience, ESPECIALLY the bad ones! And you are there. You tell me you find it hard to let go of him. I understand exactly how it feels as I've felt the same way about people in the past. And you know what, if you just bite your teeth and manage the first few months (yes months is what it took me), you'll find that those people don't matter to you anymore. And I'm talking about people whom I liked more than I should've which led to a rift, which led to us talking to each other. We used to run into each other everyday, had the same set of friends but wouldn't talk. Eventually, now its come back to a state were I don't really care. Same thing will happen to you , but quicker. And in your case, you have to decide which approach you would prefer. Keep talking to him and KNOW that he's cheating you. And try and free yourself. Or bite your tongue and stop talking to him. Try this to get started. You probably think about pinging him every time something happens(maybe your dog made a funny noise, maybe your neighbour sneezed too loud that the dog got scared) but resist the urge, and let go of THAT thing. DO NOT talk to him about it AT ALL. The next thing, probably go ahead and ping. Do it alternately, and make it one out of 3 times. One out of 4. Slowly, hopefully, it'll reach a state where you really think before pinging him, and thats where you want to be. Hope this helps. And sorry again if I'm just repeating stuff.

Though I dont really have personal experience with paypal cheques , I'd say this is bad news. I have heard a BUNCH of complaints from people that the cheques they requested never made it home. And the exceptional customer service of Paypal was amazingly unhelpful. I don't care if my money takes me 2 months to reach, as long as it DOES reach! And I wonder what the minimum amount for requesting a cheque will be now. I wouldn't want to risk getting a huge cheque and losing it, but I'm sure Paypal wouldn't like people requesting a thousand 5$ cheques for each 5k $

Nice Topic! And definitely not an easy one to answer. The shortest answer:- It depends on the subtleties. For instance, your behaviour towards him might fuel his actions. And I assume that by people you mean every day people like you and me, and not, say, a terrorist. For the terrorists, they would most often be too focused, maybe even brain-washed, to the extent of not letting our actions change their way. But for us, I believe we all need/have someone to shout at, to cry to, in essence a person whom you take maximum rights with. Most likely, the other person will be happy to be your sole vent, and accept it, and it'll eventually become option 2. But, if some of your not-so close friends were to do the same thing, it'll be option 1. What I'm trying to say is, if a person who you think will be bad to you when you are bad, is actually nice, it'll be option 1. But if a person who you think will be nice is too nice, it'll lead to option 2.

I tried it, and its awesome! But maybe I'm imagining it but google always has a way of making people say "Wow!" even if they are not the first ones to introduce something to the world. For all you know, there might be a hundred other search engines out there that have a better way of displaying images but google is the one that gets a Wow! But yes, I do like the new interface for ONE reason(ya just one). I don't have to go page by page. One scroll bar and thats it. Makes it easier for me. Though, I'm sure dial-up users will be cursing google right now.

It might just be possible. I'm from India and here there were claims to make a car for 1Lakh Rupees. If i convert that to US dollars it comes to around 2000$. And guess what.. it did happen. 35$ sounds too good to be true, but 100$ seems to high to pay for it as I could go for a kindle in that case. So lets wait for it and see what happens.

I'm not sure of the numbers but I read somewhere that they managed 300Gbps or something in a LAN connection. This could be very old data or maybe I'm imagining it, but what I do know is that WiFi will NEVER catch up to LAN. Not in a 1000 years. Both technologies will evolve for a while to come. However, WiFi will definitely reach(maybe it has already) a state where you'll practically not find any difference it and a wired connection in terms of quality.

Lucid dreaming! I've always wanted to be able to realise that I am dreaming when I'm dreaming. But so far, I haven't been able to achieve it. I've noticed that creativity is at its peak during a dream. No, I'm not talking about Star wars or Star Trek or any other sci-fi creativity. I'm talking about being able to have a better understanding of everything, and have a clear mind. I'm not sure if people will agree but I remember occasions where I actually made headway in some thought processes in the dream which were valid, but I couldn't make any progress after I woke up. Put simply, you are smarter in your dream. If there was a way to make it a little more orderly, it'll be simply awesome.And I don't think you can 'foresee' the future in your dreams, but you can definitely 'predict' them! For instance, think about someone you know really well, a friend you've known for 7 or 8 years maybe. Think of something that you tell them and try to figure out how they respond. You'll notice you can actually figure that one out. In fact, there are a few friends of mine I admire for their logic and I try to think what they would do when I have a decision to make and let that help me. Same way, in the dream you are able to predict happenings and you might get pretty close to "forsee"ing the future there.

First of all, I don't really see him 'craving' to eat chalk. It seems more like a question asked out of curiosity for me. Something like, "What would you do if aliens were to land in your court yard?". Well, I do have a few things in mind but its not like I keep waiting or 'craving' around the corner for them. And no, I am not a cannibal (assuming the aliens are .. umm.. humane)

Maybe you got a kick or died in the dream? (Inception btw). But seriously, I think there's a rationale for that. Every time you have a complete dream (not really sure what that is.. For all you know it could be endless), you'll be "sleeping" for a while after the dream gets over. I assume that this greatly reduces the chances of you remembering the dream, especially considering how volatile they're. Am I making any sense? :|

It varies depending on your posts. There was a thread where opaque posted the top 4 posters and gave the number of posts they had and the myCents they got, though I am not able to find it now. Though, depending on your post quality each post would give you anything from 10 to 30 myCents for a normal post. Guides and how-tos are more valuable though I don't have any idea about these.
