Suggest Me To Choose Antivirus Antivirus for more than 30 PCs

I have problem with choosing antivirus for more than 30 PCs. I installed trying Avast, Avira free edition on each PCs but PC slow down day by day. My PC is running Windows XP Professional Edition with 256 MB Ram, 2.0 GHz Intel Processor and 40 GB HDD. I have to put different languages pack on my PC like Japanese, Hebrew, Korean etc.I uninstalled all antivirus and installed Deep Freeze for easy. It works fine but one day a computer detect virus and spread all over the network because all computers are connected each other. and all internet connection got down. I really tired shut down each computer and again up. So I plan to install new antivirus that protect all network computers as well as computer should have fast. I heard there is some antivirus that support server and workstation computers but I don't have any idea which is good one?. So if you have any idea what should I do please help me.

Which is better, what is not better. I enjoyed some of the many antivirus products, but stopped NOD 32. In my opinion NOD is a good anti-virus, compared with the other, but also, as in others antiviruses there are shoals in it and some inconvenience for users. Used avast, then Dr. web, then Panda Titanium firewall, Kaspersky and even some sort. There currently is Nod 32, Ad-aware, AVZ, inc brendmauer, Fire enabled provider. HijackThis has some utility to check companies.

In all the time I've been using Windows, I've never bought an antivirus.The free antivirus, are quite good in my opinion.If don't search the viruses (download warez, go porn sites,...) and not have stupid behaviour (open attachment send by somebody you don't know,...) I don't think you should have problems. (and even if you do, scanning everything you download before open it should keep you away most of the problems)In my house, we have AVG or Antivir Free running on most computers and never had problems (I had once when I had the stupid behaviour mentioned above, now I've learned the lesson)For the non-free antivirus, I've heard good thing about nod32, kaspersky and the last versions (the firsts were terrible) of norton

I use nod for my work place for about 25 computers and nod does have a remote administrator tool that allows all the nod clients on your lan to connect to the server and download updates from one pc and dump log files. The virus definitions for nod is also the smallest i have seen compared to other anti virus. Plus nod can even block removable media if you want to help stop those flash drive virus's on "public" workstations. One more good reason to have nod is that it's performance is really good and it uses very little system overhead therefore I do consider nod faster than other av's such as avg, kaspersky , trendmicro, officescan, norton, clamwin, panda and fsecure to name a few that i have tried. Pricing is also reasonable.

Hi there , i was running AVG Free edition on my Cyber caf? * 8 computers* , and it worked for me like magic , it just need some time tu run the update , i was running it every weekend and the very end of the day like 23h00 , it'll take half an hour to complete all computers antiviruse update , then it'll work perfectly.And to improve AVG security , you can enable windows firewall , automatic updates , and if you can pay for it , a usb antivirus would be a plus! i'll suggest you USB disk security from ZbsharewareGood luck

I still like to use Nod32. It is useful though it will waste much resouce while running. BTW, AVG held a giveaway in GOTD before. I got one and used it for a trail. It works well. Maybe you can also try it.

I used Nod32 version 3 but It doesn't detect all viruses that comes from pen drive. I tired of viruses that makes .exe for every folder. When someone clicks it it really dangerous disabling task manager, registry editor, cmd command.
So I again switched on Avast home edition which is good but still slows my computers and this also block my a instant messenger called Nepal Messenger as a virus so users can't use it. Facing too many problems these days. If anyone knows if there any antivirus as server and workstation computers ?

NOD 32 is great, as people have been saying. I personally use AVG. I bought the Security Suite because I love it so much. The free version is great too. For as long as I have used it, I have not had any problems with viruses, which is great. And the internet definitely agrees that AVG is great software too. It's constantly rated at the top for free AV programs (and AV programs in general). After the initial setup, you are pretty much done.

It sounds like Eset Nod32 would be best for you. Eset nod32 have a massive database of virus's which gets updated every 4 hours. The Eset software it lite and very easy to use and is also at a great price (Legally :angel:). Kaspersky or Norton would use too much process on your system and slow it down dramatically.

I'm using Kaspersky's anti virus and i hate when i turn on my laptop... It's taking about 10-20 seconds to be ready to use because the anti virus is starting. NOD32 sucks, i had a virus on my iPod and didn't even detected it, that's why i installed Kaspersky's anti virus. If you have a good CPU like Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad i suggest you install Kaspersky's anti virus. If not install NOD32 and watch out for the worms, viruses or what ever they are.

NOD32 or Kaspersky both run well on low spec computers. The key is knowing how to properly customize your AV settings. Merely choosing the default settings won't cut it. Since you'll be installing the AV in a networked environment, I suggest that you buy kaspersky open space security.

All I use on my PC is Malwarebytes and the Free AVG. It works well for me. I'm not sure, though, if it's the best setup for the computers you maintain (WIndows XP SP3 and all that.)

For a configuration like yours I think You should go for a commercial solution like Symantec antivirus. Although , I've never personally used it but people tell me that its good. Plus, You only have to update the definition on the server's end. Clients will pick it up automatically, so you don't have to update all the PC's manually. I don't know if this kind of thing is available in Kaspersky or not. But I think , if we consider single PC solutions Kaspersky is best.

Go Go GO !! for NOD32, i have tried almost many antivirus engines and at last i had landed up with Nod32. It works well. I dont want to advertise for the same, but just wanna tell you that you wont regret once you start using Nod32. Good Luck
