Becca 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 After school me and some people stayed to finish off some ICT stuff and started to muck about near the end. It got to 4:30 and the teacher chucked us out. We were walking out of school and we passed the sports hall, looked in and I said "eww minger" at one of the men playing football. I thought it was sixth formers And it turns out they were all male teachers playing footy. All of the younger , mediumISH built teachers were there playing football. We saw one of our english teachers (who's a total geek, but he's such a sweety) And I couldn't help my self and I started to laugh at him. They opened the door and he got well embarassed most of them stopped playing football and kind of just stood there staring at us all laughing at them!!!They had like t shirts with little shorts on and you could see all their hairy legs and nobbly knees... It was soo funny!!!!My mate said she had nearly all of them as her teachers!! - which makes it even worse...for them! It's kind of weird seeing them doing stuff that isn't related to their subject... weird seeing them have a life other than teaching . I know that's mean but it's what you're use to.I know some of the art teachers go clubbing together and stuff... I think.
CroSpartacus 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 My teacher always says she was out the night before. She's still pretty young so not all teachers are normal boring people like we would think. Every day she says she has a headache and is unable to concentrate because she was out partying.

rvalkass 5 Report post Posted February 26, 2006 We have a huge range of teachers that do all sorts of things outside of school. Most of the younger ones play football against the 6th formers (17/18 years old) or use the sports centre next to the school, as they get access to it at half price Some run after-school clubs, such as the ICT teachers, the art teachers and the electronics teacher. Quite a few of them also play in various bands, one plays the piano and another plays the guitar in a country band. Most of the teachers don't really see eachother outside of school though as most live about 45 miles away from the school in all sorts of different places! PDG 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 My professor which is my guide is like a robot, he wakes up 6:00 AM every day, arrives the college at 7:00 AM, sits in his own office till 9:00 AM, starts teaching till 12:00, comes back to his office and remains there to 14:00, he again starts to teach until 16:00. He comes back to his home at 17:00. And another day is like the previous day.

Some of my teachers go out for chinese with the sixth formers and drive them home or out and stuff. Well the wacky hip teachers do that.. it's weird though - since they're really close. My ex graphic product teacher (who got sacked for supposedly taking drugs in class and texting porn and dirty stuff to sixth formers) goes clubbing and stuff and tell us about it... she talks about her trips with her boyfriend and stuff.. lol.. Plenoptic 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2006 Well I did stay after school a couple days to study for semester exams but we have 10 period days at our school in which some students come in during what is my 4th period and that is their first. It is too crowded at our school so they do that. That usually means that my teachers are still teaching or grading papers. I haven't really caught them doing anything out of the ordinary. I could really care less it is their lives I would play football after school too if I was a teacher. I think we just don't view teachers as those kind of people because they are our teachers. biscuitrat 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2006 My Latin teacher just played on the Faculty's side for a Faculty vs Students Basketball game yesterday. Catch was, he had to play on the back of a donkey - like in the Simpsons. I didn't get to see it, but I'll find out how it went.

heavensounds 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 Well both my mum and dad are teachers and so i kinda see them every day doin nothing at home:) They really have a loooooot of spare time but this job is quite nerve-demanding, because you have 30 students who are unwilling to listen and you have to tell them what you have to...so this is the bad aspect of this job, as looots of free time is a good one...I think it is nice to have a lot of free time and you just dont need to think ybout the job when you finish...you come home you eat and you are freee to go hiking or doing whatever you want...As any other job..it has its pluses and minuses...but all in all i think it is a decent job!greetz
Sprnknwn 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 I don?t care about my teacher?s privacy. I?m not studying right now but if I think... I never cared about it. It?s like that saying that says that you have to separate provate life from work... the same with school.Anyway I knew that some of them went out at night in bars and discos... even though some of them were priests I don?t wanna start here a discuss about this but it?s true. And I still don?t mind.
Peaktao 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2006 I don't know actually. When I went to A-level school, definitely every wednesday some of my teachers play football. Now at uni, I think most tutors do their own research or marking. Also since I do law, many of my tutors are also solicitors or barristers. And so they go to court to advocate or advise parties on the phone. And I guess tey play with their kids too. I bumped into my tutor with her kids at the musuem once. boyCradle 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2006 My high schools teachers would stay at the faculty room gossiping about another teacher. The students would usually stay at their faculty offices too to ask for some school help, and some personal advices. Some of the best teachers that I know stay late at the office to do their lesson plans and some stuff for the next days. They also check the papers and examinations of their students. They do not ask students to check the papers. And some professors are staying at the office because it is airconditioned. And they stay there for relaxation.
