iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 I've used firefox, and like it very much, heres my custom made Pro's and Con's list: Pro's Stable Quick Good Features Safe Download Manager Con's Does not support changing Cache file location Doesnt support ActiveX (i cant get it to work) Creates new windows on hyperlink click (cant change that) Cannot display some flash movies I'm using Maxthon, its a bit hard to customise but its good. Does anyone know how secure it is - seeing as though it works almost the same as IE?

iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 The Mozilla project isn't really a company, it's an open source community and a major software development foundation - the legal kind not the cement kind. The Mozilla project is pretty big with extensions into almost every area that http://www.w3.org/ is working on standards for. In the Mozilla project you can get specs to make your own project-specific or company-specific browser if you need to. They're also a big player in SVG (scalable vector graphics) dev. Wish they'd hurry up with a better Mac plug-in. Check-em out https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/. Good email client too.

iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I use Mozilla Firefox. I'm thinking of uninstalling IE, Firefox is much more secure.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Firefox, Avant Browser, Konqueror, Opera. You don't want to uninstall IE. First, it is needed. Second, as a web master you should check your site with as many browsers as possible to make sure it looks right. If you don't like the security risks involved, just don't use it except for when checking your site.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Firefox, tab browsing just owns.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 all firefox. i've been using avantbrowser for a long time. Yay! Another Avant Browser user, I use it too and so does my family. I optimizes your connection and has a pretty good blocker on it. Most people don't like it because its based off of IE, no problems here though.
