Opaque,I can not log-in to my Cpanel. I have requested a new password, and have paid the 10 credits. I have been waiting for about 4 hours, but the email has not yet arrived. It is the same email that I have been using at the Xisto since I have begun here. I'm still unable to connect to databases for my Forums. I understand that I may need to re-assign the passwords, etc, but since I am unable to log-in, I can't do that.Any ideas?

Using tables for Layout is "old school". Use div's and CSS for design. They are cool.

So, What Is The Best Free Domain?
jlhaslip replied to ivantoar's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Why not simply buy a Domain from Xistodomains.com at around $10.00 per year? -
The weather here is about 4 weeks behind its usual schedule, so the garden was late getting planted.4 Tomatos plants, 30 hills of Taters, Zuchinni, radishes and Garlic are all I'm doing this year. It seems they are all sprouting up fine. We definitely need the heat for things to grow. It has been a very cold, wet Spring so far.

Forum Member's Town Suffers Tornado Wind and rain damage is extensive.
jlhaslip replied to Mich's topic in General Discussion
Glad that all the residents (especially you and yours) are all safe. The fury of a Tornado can not be denied as an extremely powerful event. I witnessed one of immense proportions up close and personal about 21 years ago and will never forget that day. Or the week or the next six months as familiar settings were rebuilt. My house included.Amen that you are all well. Roads can replaced. Not so with people. -
Uploading and Hosting of Music files on the Xisto accounts are only allowed IF you are the copyright holder, or have their permission to use the music. Reads the Terms of Service for Web Hosting accounts as found in the Xisto Readme. http://forums.xisto.com/index.php?actE=01&HID=18

I use a guideline that states that one hour of sleep before midnight is worth 2 hours of sleep after midnight, so i often go to bed/sleep between 9:30 and 10:30 pm and wake up between 5:30 and 6:30, depending on my schedule requirements.I read for a bit before actually going to sleep, usually, sometimes it is a book, other times it is an Internet article. And I drink de-caffeinated coffee all day, if possible.

Do you have a demo site installed anywhere? Or a zip file for download?

Engineering / Business Major Combination
jlhaslip replied to comingsoon27's topic in General Discussion
The University of Alberta has a program which combines an Engineering Degree with a Masters of Business Administration. Excellent combination for those which to 'run' a Construction company, in my opinion. Although quite demanding on the students, those who complete the program are highly sought after employees. -
w3schools.com has a php section in their Tutorials, I believe, and a php help section in their forum, too.

What Server are you running? Is it set-up on your own machine or at a Hosting Service? Are you running your own scripts to send mail? SMTP or Sendmail? or php mail()?

Live _ Dimension,You would be better off grabbing your Hosting as soon as possible, and then earning your Domain Credits.

Building A Forum Under Another Web Site?
jlhaslip replied to Janissary's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I would suggest that you check out the Tutorial section and look for a Tutorial written by me showing how to combine an AEF Forum with a web-site.AEF Forums are also free, easy to install and has many popular features including a shoutbox by default. -
The information is in the readme file. http://forums.xisto.com/index.php?actE=01&HID=18 There MUST be an English version of your site, or you risk losing your account, if the Admins discover the non-english site without an English option.

You might need to re-write your backup script to perform the Database back-up for single Tables at a time instead of all Tables at once.Or back-up by date only. Depends on the db structure and several other issues, really. For instance, check Posting Dates of Posts and Topics and only backup the most recent ones.

run the queries individually using phpmyadmin to see if they work outside of the script.I am suspicious about the single quotes and semi-colons at the end of the Insert lines???

Use absolute positioning to centre the div to the 50%/50% location. this will place the top left of the div at the centre of the display. Then apply negative top margins to the div which is one half of the div's height, and apply a negative left margin of one half of the div's width. results will be as per this sample page: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ TYhe css for the div will look something like this: #mydiv { position:absolute; top: 50%; left: 50%; width:30em; height:18em; margin-top: -9em; /*set to a negative number 1/2 of your height*/ margin-left: -15em; /*set to a negative number 1/2 of your width*/ border: 1px solid #ccc; background-color: #f3f3f3;}

https://support.xisto.com/ go to that link and terminate your hosting. Credits will be reset to zero automatically. And, yes, you will need to earn more credits and re-apply in the future if you decide to get hosted again. Good luck with your paid sites.

Can you post some code, please. And do you mean vertically centred on the page instead of horizontally centred?
