  1. I have it. You learn to live with it. You need a medication. My dad (a doctor) had me on Claritin, but it is so expensive. Use Equate instead. You can get 90 pills in a bottle for about $12. Super good! Hey good luck with your Hay Fever, you will get over it. Just takes time.
  2. Lol. Okay thanks. I was trying to figure out why I first couldn't see my credits, and then I oculdn't view the shoutbox. I was on when you updated it. amazing! No downtime. I was posting while you were doing it. So I am impressed. Keep up the good work. I will look forward to that shoutbox again! Thanks for the updates.
  3. Amit:But what I am saying, is that a robot will never have the capability to ever become what you are saying. Basically you are saying that if a robot has the parts, and a virtual brain, it has the chance to do harm. What I am saying is that it can't because it doesn't know what is wrong. It may do harm, but it will not be intentional. I believe that we are either good or evil. Programmed with both, but with one ruling over the other. Robots don't have that. So if they hurt someone, they don't have a chemical that say, "Oh no, what have I done, I am so sorry". Instead, it will be, I hurt someone. What has it realized? That is has done something, but it will need an emotion to act upon that information. Now we have a few options here. the programers could put in the "brain" of this thing the emtions of anger, hate, love, kidness, and contempt. Not we will need to do something with these emotions. You will need an action for each emtion, under certain curcumstances. It gives something to someone, the person if hapy and the robot logs this in the memory as good. It will what? Want to repeat this. Now it hurts someone, it logs it as bad and dpoesn't want to do it again. Buit how do we know that? Because it will be prgrammed to not do that again. Unless the program re-wrote intself with a program with a virus so that prepreogrammed actions of evil were to be repeated, the person who made the program would have to do something to make a response, it cannot formulate one on it's own.
  4. Yeah same here. Offer something someone likes, like points awards or hosting or boradband. ANything. Then advertise that. Make it fun with weekly or monthly drawings for something cheap but great. Maybe even start one where people can by tickets for it? Just some suggestions. If you offer something good, people will be more likely to come for it. I saw one that offers free domains with posting, free templates. If you have a talent that people want, and can do it for a profit, bingo, you got it made.
  5. Yeah various churches are holding seminars and stuff. Actually, I am surprised you mentioned and acknowledged the Sabbath. It is actually, Friday night, untill Saturday night. Sound Jewish? It actually isn't. I am actually a Seventh Day Adventist. I have to remind people, not David Koresh, he claimed he had it right, that was only half true. No we are actually more about than Sabbath than anything. But anyway, to stay on topic, yeah, there was several HUGE seminars around the country. Just a great time to remember the Ten Commandments God set aside. It is also a mission you could say, to get more people to realize the importance of The Ten Commandments. And yes, Non-believers, you can join in the fun too.
  6. I know. Hey sorry guys. Type it in google, or visit http://www.tencommandmentsday.com/ It will give you more info. No this is not spam. This is not an official Holiday, but a religious movement taht is trying to revive the Ten Commandments. I thought I owuld do my part and post on it. So if you are a Christian, or even believe in God, post your views on The Ten Commandments. Sorry about not clearing that up. Yeah, May 7th is the main part of it guys.
  7. Hey people! Guess what! I am excited. It is Ten Commandment Day! This means that to all Christians around the world, I want to wish you happy Ten commandment Day. It is a day for us to remember the set of laws, still valid, that God gave to Moses on Mt. Sinai. During today guys, I want us to remeber all of them, and make sure we put them into practice each and every day. We need to also remember one of the most important, but long forgotten, 4th commandment, which states that Saturday is sabbath, the seventh day. I know it is hard for some Christians to choke down. And this is because for centuries now we have worshiped on a day that was designated wrongly by church leaders. No where in the Bible does it state that we are to go to church on the first day of the week. As a matter of fact, even to the end of the Bible were the disciples keeping the sabbath and in Revelation is says that those that go to heaven will be those that keep God's commandments, the Ten Commandments. This includes the fourth commandment. Remeber the old law? Moses law? It was written with handwriting, on paper. The Ten Commandments were written on stone, by God's very own hand. So we need to remember that. Anyway guys. Happy TCD and I want us all around the world to remember God's saving grace, sent to us by His Son, which died so unselfishly for us. Have a greqat day guys! Note: I saw Easter and Christmas in General talk, so I thought this is the right place, this isn't a debate, it is a reminder. If needed, please move.
  8. Lol. Sorry you guys/*gals. I think the guys win. Computers always are owned by more boys. Something to do with technology. I don't tell my age to anyone. But, yeah, I am a guy and will put in my vote in the poll. I think that it is going to come out that the poll wins with boys, under eighteen. Just what I think since there are more guys using technology these days. Not to say that women are,...how should I say, computer illiterate, just that from my own experience, the guys figure out the tougher stuff easier, where girls will get frusterated more easily.
  9. Hey guys. Great topic. I like it because it is thinking more into the spiritual and intelectual thinking we should all do. Let me remind everyone of something first. We have a body and soul. We think by ourselves and make whatever actions and deal with the results. We have a brain that has no "set" program. We were given a brian by God, and we use it how we choose with the results either good or bad. Robots on the other hand, can't have that,..that level thinking. No computer can do that. Everything a robot does has to have a prgram to do it. You know these "learning" robots, that will actually learn more about their surroundings? They have to have a program to do that. Even if there was a program to let them learn everything until they were capable scholars. They don't, cannot, and never will have a descernment of good and evil. They may learn so much about the world, but they can never have feelings. They are like walking, talking, mindless, dictionaries. So don't sorry guys. Of course, they could always be prgramed for evil, but taht is in the eye of the creator.
  10. Sounds disappointing! It worked for other people I know. Csutomer support usually helps. Maybe you could bug them on the phone? I don't know. There has to be a support. But you have to realize that while something is in beta, they are going to get a lot of input, and since you are just one person with one problem that may be a isolated event. I know, rude, but minority doesn't rule. Hey good luck!
  11. Hmm. That is too bad. I was hoping there was a device that would connect by itself. But I guess you need something else. I should invent that. as a matter of fact, look for it in the Ideas area! Seriously, I think someone should come up with it so you can have several computers connect all at once without having to network your computers. Then they could retreive the info from the "device". If anyone does know of anything like that, please tell me. Thanks!
  12. Okay thanks. Is it possible to take a router and make it dial by itself, then send info as requested by the Computers go to a certain place? This way the router would dial, use the one connection, and then send info as requested to computers. Is it possible?
  13. Hey guys. I was looking at a way to run several computers on one Internet connection (Dial-up) at the same time. One problem, I can't find anything. So I turned to trusty 'ol Xisto to help me out. I need a way to run several computers off of one dial-up connection without having to use networking, where one computer connects, and the rest use it's connection. I need a device that will allow me to connect several computer by themselves, or if needed, once one computer connects, let another join in without using the computer already connected. I know, strange. Have you seen the ones where you can run a phone, fax and Internet at the same time? Where would I get one, and would it work for what I am talking about here? Please help.I tried to ask people at Best Buy, and they said to get a router that will allow me to connect one computer, which is base, and then the others can run off of it. I don't want a base computer that has to be connected, I want it so I can plug in a phone jack, and then it splits and the device is the base and each computer connects by itself. Thanks if you can help!
  14. Kids should find better stuf tpo fo with their time. Blowing up dead dogs is like, so phsyco! Sorry about the spell errors. People like this really need some brains in their head. What do they think is going to happen? And it is so disrespectful. They need a reality check. But what can I say, the younger generation lacks wisdom.
  15. Hey thanks for ytour input guys. IT is reallu helpful, but I just want to explain why I did this. The reason for giving so much scripture is because people don't like opinion. And if I go telling people one thing without they themselves being able to look and see it for themselves, they are either too lazy, or don't care and then will start a big 'ol debate over nothing. But thanks for the input, I will keep it in mind next time. It is amazing how God can be SO much more than a friend somtimes. I mean, talk about a shoulder to lean on. I am glad you are on the forums, I saw your website and it is AWESOME! I actually write these articles for my site, it will be on my site after a few months. I like to let it fade back in Trap's post list before I go putting it on mine. But anyway, yeah, I am trying to create articles for spiritual strengthening. I write for places like Adventist Review, Guideposts, etc. Hey thanks again for the input!
  16. I wrote this article and I want to put it here. It is not anywhere else, I will put it on my site maybe in a few months, but for now, I want your review. Everything si 100% my words, but if it needs to be in quotes, mods please feel free to move/adjust this topic. Here is if guys:For those in times of trial, what the Bible says. The car broke down, you learned you have to take a pay cut, or even be laid off. Things are not going right. Sickness may have overtaken you, relatives died. Unemployment, disability, all the stresses of life. You barely have ends meeting now and things will be even worse the next few months. This readers, is the ultimate test of faith, and some of the worst situations facing people. The question is, can you make it through, and, does the Bible give you enough strength and scriipture to do that? The answer folks is yes! And the scriptures have plenty to say about it. The Bible says we will go through tribulation. (Acts 14:22) For some, this is instances of the death of someone close, financial problems, and stresses of life. We know that not all will be here on earth when Jesus comes again. But others will. There is an end time tribulation, but not all will go through it. For those that do, the times will be hard, with much suffering, but for those that don't, I am sure we all have little trials and tribulations that happen to us. What does the Bible say? I studied this while I wrote this, and found it quite interesting. You see, God gave us a great tool called the Bible. Some say it is a book of prophecy, other say it is a book of doom. I call it a book of promises. God's promise, all amounting to one thing, Jesus' return. The trials we go through are small speck and scope of the greater picture. The suffering we go through, will all be nothing more then a moment. The Bible says we are here for just a moment in time. (2 Corinthians 4:17)So what happens when we go through these trials? We do what Job did, we worship God, praise his name, and trust Him. I have a great text. It is Philippians 4:6. It states that we whould be anxious for nothing, but that in everything, through prayer, we should bring our requests to God. (paraphrased) This text is of great comfort to a lot of people. It is a sugggestion, no,.. more than that, a command on what to do in a time of trial, and when you ask something of God. This text alone, if used as a rule in life, and trusted as a promise that God will hear you, would keep our stress down. The ulcers that plague the world today, would disappear. I know a lot of people will be thinking on these words and saying, so are you saying to not worry about our furture? Our children, our livelyhood? No I am not saying that. But there is no reason to obcess about it. One needs to only trust in God, and then He does the rest. Yes, figure out what your budget is; Yes make sure your finiances are secure, but when troubling times come, pray that God will guide you, and according to His will, that He will answer you. Remeber what Jesus said in the Graden? Not my will, but your own. Some would call this crazy. I suggest a book. It is called "Ten P's in a Pod" and tells the life story of a family, that went around spreading the gospel. Sometimes they would have no money and no place to stay, but in the end God always supplied their needs. Which I always think is amazing. The father never worried. Crazy? Yes. I call it crazy for God. We should all be like that. It is a matter of putting something in God's hands, and not worrying about it.God has the bigger picture. It says in Matthew 6:27 that no one can help themselves or make anything better by worrying. I firmly believe that. God has the bigger picture. And although some of us think they feel better worrying about tomorrow, it just adds more stress. It says in Matthew 10:31 that we are more precious than the sparrows. And God says that not one sparrow will fall to the ground without God not noticing. (Matthew 10:29) So, we have nothing to worry about. God is our guide, and he is always with ut. There is no reason for us to fear anything. Trust in God, and we have nothing else to lose.If you liked this article, please put in some replies. I tried to make this for selling, but haven't got around to it, and decided not to. Anyway, it is kind of encouragement, but I am not sure if it is suppose to be in quotes even if it is my words. Thank for reading guys.
  17. Umm. Yeah okay. Okay listen up. I thought this was:(1) A family friendly forum(2) A forum with SOME reputation.I can see I was wrong on both accounts when it comes to posts like these. You feel frusterated. Fine, you wanna destroy something, go ahead. But don't use obscene language and take it out where everyone and his dog can see it. If you want help, the counseling section is down there and you are more then welcome to it. Blods are great. But getting attention through language isn't exactly a status upping thing, if you know what I mean :lol:So you're a lousy interior designer. What did you do? Mess up something? Just calm down. We all have our days and it will pass just like the sun rises and sets everyday. Good luck with your designing.
  18. I didn't have any problems with getting hosting. Everything worked fine and dandy and seemed to be okay. Hopefully it is working now. Otherwise there would be more complaints like this. I am glad you got through it though You did the right thing though by going and looking up everything, although it seems to me you spent an excessive amount of time doing it, although I think you will reap greater reward with the way you did do it.When I built my site, I did it without a glitch. I used html mainly and very little of anything else. Html is easy to work with and al browsers understand and can see it, although it still isn't as fancy as Flash or Java, or even PHP.Wow! 4000 bookmarks. You have some work ahead of you. I don't even have that much. Good luck with it.I prefer to organize as I bookmark. I have folders for different stuff and it is all in there. It works much better than trying to put it all in one folder.
  19. Hmm. Only one more thing. I don't want the newslette to be sent out automatically. I want it sent to people I specify. So the command sending it to my list is useless. All I realy want is to be able to open my mail account at Cpanel, type in the people's name or list name myself, and then send it out. It look like this is PHP to me. Is there a way just to insert the html code into the body text area of a message, like gmail? If not, then what does this code do and where do I put it? As you can see, I am quite an amatuer, and would go sp far as to say coding and/or newsletter building illiterate.
  20. Hmm. I am a little confused. Maybe you could clarify one thing. If I wanted to send a html code that was: <head></head><body bgcolor="red"><p>This is a test</p></body>Then how would I integrate those exactly. Could you take what you just showed me and put it into how it would look with my code. It will be longer and better, and much nicer. So don't worry
  21. Thank you Jim! I can honestly say, with the help you guys have been giving me. Trap is awesome. You guys are so cool. Thank you for all your time. If you could get that to me, I would appreciate it so much. You have done a lot and I would love it if you would give me your site URL and if it is clean, I really want to link to it. Thanks guys!
  22. What is your email? I will send a zip folder with all the stuff in it. I can't use PHP 5. And I would prefer not to use a mysql. The place to search will be http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. That is what I will search. I will send you the blank zip folder, because the bible is not in it yet. Thank you SO much for your time, this will be a huge help. Do you have a site, I wil be linking to it if you do. this is great. And really appreciate the time you are spending on this. Thank you!
  23. I am trying to start a newsletter, and would like to know how you do it. I have the template, but if I send the html code, it send the html code. How to I put it in an email so you can actually view it? I tried one where they said put it so it is HTML = HTML, but it didn't work. Could someone please help me out here? Thanks.
  24. Hmm, this look good, but I am using version 4.1 Will this display a results page? It all looks good, but I don't know how to edit it so I can use it on my site, if someone could take the time to show me a little more about this, I would really appreciate it. It would search my http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ bible database. Also, it looks like this requires me to set up a MySQL database. Is this a code I can pout in a form and it will work as soon as I put it in? As you can see, I am quite lost in this coding. Thanks for the effort, just need a little more help with it. Thanks.
