  1. If you are tired of sitting and waiting for your anti-virus software to remove the new virus infection, the steps below are for you. No programming skills are required! Just a basic knowledge of command prompt syntax will do...for this demo, the virus is on the portable USB drive (e:\virus) named virus.vbsSo here we go, its very simple, if the above things dont work:# Create a back-up. Safety comes above all else. Save your files on removable storage or on another partition aside from the Windows drive.# Run the Windows command prompt. You can run the Windows command prompt by either clicking on the Start Menu\All programs\Accessories\Command Prompt or by pressing Windows + R on the keyboard and typing "CMD."# Look for the directory or folder where the virus resides. Go to the folder where the virus is hiding. Its usually resides on the Windows temporary folder or on the Windows system folder. Check partitions and drives for viruses, e.g. type "cd e:\virus"# Show the hidden virus and remove its attributes. It will be easier if you can see the virus. Remove the virus attributes, which are read only, archive, system file, and hidden file. e.g. type "attrib -r -a -s -h virus.vbs"# Delete the virus. Say goodbye to the virus by deleting it, e.g. type "del virus.vbs"
  2. ILOVED avast until today.. when i spent over 5 hours trying to scan and detect 5 (yes FIVE) trojan horses while running avast. And the 5 avast found during scans.. it would not and could not delete.. repair NOR move to a chest. this also includes about 8 viruses it actually DID move to the chest.i finally had to reformat my whole computer.i found that running spybot WITH avast works fine.. .if you run them often (avast has a run each time i log into my computer as well as a full scan i run approx 1 x a month ... then i run spybot as oiften as possible)BUT our home PC did not have spybot.. hence.. NO trojan protection.i have been told to use AVG.. what do you all think ? is this better?i run a home business on my laptop and can not afford to lose all the info on it. I cant afford to wipe out its memory ...it happened before with mcaffe AND norton... both which i will NEVER use again...
  3. Heres why i prefer cats over dogs. Lets say you got both a cat and a dogSomehow they get out of the house and got lost, who do you think will live the most, i`ll tell you, THE CAT. Cats can take care of theirselfs, dogs cant. Yeah they say dogs are smarter bla bla but they really arent. A dog need to be walked every few hours, a cat doesnt, all she needs is a clean litter box.
  4. Oh yes...Mustang vs. Camara', the debate heard around the good ol' US in dive redneck bars. Although they stopped making the firebird/camaro, the last few current years they slightly outperformed the Mustangs stock for stock, but the Mustangs outsold the GM's. They've been more popular since the 80's.Although the only American car I like is the Corvettes(I do like mustangs and camaros, but probably wouldn't buy one), driving those V8's with a manual is a lot of fun.So to stick to your topioc Camaro is the KingThe Mustang might sell better but in terms of performance you can't beat the Camaro!
  5. This may sound a bit strange but my dream car is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9. I know this sound crazy but i prefer an Evo to an Lamborhini or w/e supercar is out there. The ideea of a simple 4 door saloon with 4 seats and big boot, that can do the things the evo does drives me crazy, i mea look at it, its a family car that can go on rampage whenever you want it.
  6. I got an 1.6 black ford focus mk2, great car. Does 9l at 100km in town, and i belive is quite much but its the full opitons model so i belive its a bit heavy. I like the color too, it fits perfectly. Anyway i heard that later this summer, Ford will begin rolling out its innovative MyKey technology, which is designed to help parents encourage their teen-agers to drive safer and more fuel efficiently, and increase safety-belt usage, with i think is total crap.
  7. I have used it in the past and while it worked well for some things, it did not for others. My preferred player of choice is now kmplayer with "media player classic home cinema" being second. I've actually never been able to find something that crashed or didn't play in kmplayer. Just my 0.02 of rambling. Also the dudes from lifehacker have a great article that shows different things you could do with this excellent media player. A few includes: * How to rip any DVD * Convert any video for your iPod or iPhone with a drag and drop batch script * How to stream media to other computers * Play ripped DVDs Also, VLC is available in a portable format so you can carry it in your USB drive. I belive that the only place where VLC sucks is x264 playback. The built-in codecs are definitely not suited to the job
  8. My favorite general is China tank general, but i love playing all of them. Well i play Zero hours on lan with a friend, because in single player is borring. We usually set up a 3 vs 3 map and play against 3 hards. I miss C&C and this topic made me realise that, so i guess i will install it.
  9. Need for Speed was the best in the series. I dont think there was a better one, maybe porche at its time. I dunno why they ruined the street action with those silly circuit tracks. Yes, Need for Speed Most Wanted is yet another illegal street racing game. Yes, it's filled with embarrassing attempts to be hip and trendy. But don't let that steer you away. You'd miss exciting races, thrilling chases, and a big, beautiful world to explore. The structured career play gets as much attention as the free roaming. Before you can even face off with Blacklist racers, you'll need to prove your worth. You do that by winning races, achieving milestones, and amassing bounty.
  10. Non of those things are real, not the lockness monster, not yeti. The lockness monster will always be an atraction for tourism for the people of lockness. I dont see the point in beliveing in something that no1 really saw.
  11. If you want your website to have a long term succes you should have good content, if i visit a site and i find crap, belive me i`m not going back. You get visits from banner exchange or similar things, but if people who visit your site from banner exchage dont like what they find, do you think they will come back ? So i stand my ground when i say that good content = good trafic. Sure, link exchange helps, and seo aswell, but content is nr1 for a good long website succes.
  12. I belive google wave wont have the same succes that twitter has right now, but anyways i have a few invites too if any1 needs, just pm me with your email adress.I heard that google wave crashed firefox in large waves, but not chrome...thats wierd. "The thread had 93 crests? contributions, one video, one blip embedded map and 41 participantsIt works in Chrome, I had a lot open in Firefox, but am pretty certain it was Wave causing it to crash. I hope the e-mails got off to Mozilla, but I doubt it" So is google trying to make firefox look bad? :\
  13. I still use 2003, i don`t really see the point of 2010, i had to work with 2007 at my workplace and i was so lost in it. Why those silly changes?
  14. God i hate sites with popups, ads and stuff like that, like some1 said above, thank god for AdBLOCK. Dont know if i`m ever gonna change mozilla with an other browser, not even opera or google chrome. I love the themes the plugins, everything..
  15. I`m not attacking you dude, i`m just saying that all the big websites like newspapers and big forums have a mobile version. What does that tell you? I belive they are not doing that for just for fun, but because the mobile internet browsing is rising. If you cant fluently type than you should get a qwerty phone, with the keys set just like on your PC. In my opionion mobile browsing numbers will rise till the end of 2011 with 100%.
