A little while ago I was chatting with BuffaloHelp and Jonnyabc and all of a sudden, when I typed and pressed enter nothing would happen, and it would appear no one saw my shouts, so I refreshed, nothing. tried it in both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.. nothing. so I send BuffaloHelp a PM, it would seem he did not receive it... is this just a problem I'm experiencing or am I banned from the SB and PM's??

I have been finding it a little hard lately finding good topics that interest me :I but sometimes when I see a question I do try to research the answer.The reason the edit feature was taken away isn't really a mystery. it was being abused and something had to be done.. like anwiii said, it was a quick fix, but there are better solutions to this and there has been enough time to put them in affect.Bottom line.. ITS SCHOOL SEASON! any forum is going to be less active this time of year, as soon as school let's out I guarantee this forum will pick up.

hahahaha well I do have a catchpa, but I guess I should use email verification, the reason I didn't is because I always found that a pain to do so I never asked my visitors to do what annoys me haven't much use for mods yet, my site is not launched, I'm waiting until I ether get some money, or enough myCENTs for a new domain, because my current one doesn't fit the purpose of my website now. thx for your help I'll look for that list. although I want to be careful what IP's I ban because I don't want to ban innocent visitors

There's been spammers/trolls registering spam accounts on my forums, and about once a week I have to go in and clear the porn off of my website I do try to IP ban whoever it is but it would seem their using a proxy, the IP address is always totally different but I know their the same person because they post the same things, on top of that their registering with bs account names like "Forum-Team" and they send me (The admin) PM's saying stuff like "Your computer is infected!!! go here to clean your computer of this infection or you're account will be deleted" and they are trying to post as being an admin.... I think since I'm the site owner I know their not an admin.. how retarded can you be? I can't keep these people off of my site! is there any way to ban someone who uses proxies??

That's because you moved files that were in use by a script, and messed up the set file paths, you should never do this without modifying the configurations file and or SQL tables, because to put it bluntly, it's looking for files that no longer exists in the directory it was told it was in. Again, that's probably an issue with file permissions, since you are confused and want it as a CMS so you don't have to really do any hand programming, I sent you a PM I will install it over fresh and correctly if you want me to.

Exactly what i've been thinking! we should get an IRC. there's free hosts that allow you to make an IRC channel, and it has no connection to the website at all so bandwidth wouldn't be an issue, to make it more convenient for people who don't have/don't want to install an IRC client you could make a page here with meebo or something so people could connect to the IRC from the website. getting back to the topic: I only saw that flashy sidebar for about an hour, the I never saw it again :/ I highly doubt opaque would deliberately put something like that here...

First of all it's called CHMOD, when you CHMOD a file or directory your changing the file permissions, if you are using Xisto hosting, change it to 0777, not 0755. if you haven't already messed up the other files it should work after you change it to 777, if nothing works, try to CHMOD all of your folders and files temporarily to 777 until the installation is finished, then it's safe to change them back to 755 (Filezilla is easiest at this.) Also, why is your directory "drupal-6.15"? why not name is drupal? that just might be why it's not working lol One more thing, make sure the drupal-6.15 directory itself is set at 777

No, there is no such softwares because tbh there would be no point at all... there are programs which you can install on your computer to chat in a 3d world. my favorite is http://www.imvu.com/ it's not like second life where you roam in an endless world, but rather in a chat room sorta way with really great graphics!the only way to make one that you yourself can run on a website of your own would be making it on your own with java or flash, (java is what runescape uses) unless someone else finds something?...

This forum would do with more moderation. a good idea would be the admins hand selecting some trusted users who are active every day or every other day and holding a poll so that the members can vote for who they want to be moderator. good idea?
