  1. That's a good idea. I was planning on giving credits away to the winner, maybe starting next year. That might help increase the popularity. I was thinking about around 5 credits for the winner (I might think about more, it all depends if i can afford it). But, good thing the price for credits are at a reasonable price. Giving credits away might even make sig designers try harder when designing their sigs. I have some doubts about giving away credits, but i'm sure they're just minor things. Anyways, i was thinking about making a better looking, kinda more professional, SOTW winner tab, for next year.
  2. Heh, i guess i forgot to read what you posted. Anyways, maybe a 3D font would be better. "Plenoptic Design" - 3d font, and "Bringing Your Site To Life" - pixel font, maybe. Just the layout is a bit too simple for me. Your site could use a universal logo, though. Not sure if thick side borders would help, but just an idea.
  3. Heh, nice use of the 3d pop-out technique with the mortal kombat sig. You a pixel-stretcher, too, eh? All i see that needs work is the text. Though, text is one of the hardest things to master on sigs.
  4. Congrats Avalon! Award will be given at a later time. Winning Sig:

  6. Text could be better. But, i like how it seems like the render is tangled up in the abstract brushing. Guess i'll rate this as 6/10.
  7. Shadowdemon's right, there's too much white going on under the banner. But, that can be fixed with a little HTML/CSS. Also, apply some anti-aliasing to the text in the banner.
  8. Heh, that is truly the way to making an actual "pop-out" sig. But, it feels like this idea isnt perfected, yet. I'll try this out and post my result later. Booya! Came up with an idea for text.
  9. Best sig yet, i might add. Did this one kinda in a hurry, though.
  10. My vote goes to Avalon. His sig has a nice flow, nice brushing, interesting text position.Reaver : 0Saint-Michael : 0Avalon : 4Mayank : 0
  11. I like the last one the best. I like how you did the text, with the different colors behind each other. I think the Megaman one could have been done without the blurred face. It's an interesting idea, but I would have blurred/pixelize more areas, mostly the edges, making it look like he's digitizing or something.
  12. Maybe some tech brushing would have helped the sig out, and made it seem more fitting with the render. More color would help the sig out as well.
  13. Cars driving on water isnt a new thing. I've seen a car do that back in my younger years. Only reason you dont see much of them is cause most manufacturers dont feel like making them, for whatever the reason. As far as i know, the only way to get one is to modify your car.
  14. Congrats Mayank. I knew, once i saw that sig, that you'd be the victor. Very nice sig, indeed. Keep up the good work.
  15. Tyssen's right, it's only for other people to view your coding better. It's ok to have no spaces as long as you start and end everything correctly, like you did. Same goes for HTML. For Example: <a href="http://http://www.somesite.com/;No space inbetween the quote and the target attribute. But, it'll still work.
  16. To tell you the truth, none of the "solutions" seem like they'll do a significant amount of damage to a hurricane, nor will they be possible of happening. No one can tell you if a hurricane is going to form here or there. Covering one area isn't enough, and it'll cost too much, or ruin the ecosystem more than it already is, to just cover even more areas. And, the chances of getting an area of warm water, during that time, are slim. Although, hurricanes dont just feed off of warm waters.
  17. Sounds interesting. Guess I'll give it a try. Thanks for informing.
  18. Just do what i do. Get the anonymous phone call rejection service, and the block call service. Whenever those annoying telemarketers call, just add their phone number to your block list.
  19. My guess is cause you placed a semicolon inside the query, which makes php think you've ended the line. So, try this: mysql_query(ALTER TABLE `xxx` ORDER BY `no`);
  20. OpaQue made a tutorial on how to setup a basic cron job a long time ago. You may wanna check it out. It's pretty interesting. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/6321-cron-jobs-cron-jobs-in-cpanel-cron-jobs-cron-jobs-using-php/
  21. I saved a copy of the site on my computer, removed all javascript, removed unneccassary tags, and opened it in Internet Explorer, and that's when it started looking like the other browsers. So, if i were you, i'd relook over your coding, and edit the site.
  22. My vote goes to Mayank as well. I'm liking that border, and choice in text. Render fits background nicely. Background is interesting.saint-michael:0mareck:0mayank:2$upa pimp:0avalon:0reaver:0
  23. There's a reason why there's no edit button, but you should report your post if you want anything edited.Anyways, those sigs could use a border. Also, they're missing depth. There are helpful tutorials here. You should take a look at them. They should help you improve.
  24. I disabled active scripting, but that made my Mcafee virus scanner stop working. So, i advise not to disable, but to "prompt". Good thing i have more than one virus scanner, eh?
