Well, if they can make a Gmail filesystem I dont see why this cant be done.

I've looked at many different portals and cms's, but I can decide on one. I dont like phpnuke. Ive looked at mambo but its not sutible for me. I need a portal for a gaming clan, so I dont know what to pick. Anybody have suggetions?

I've used both SuSe and Fedora and perfered suse but am using fedora at the moment.

Well, It seems you want to build a computer. To start off, you'll need nothing more than some money to burn. So lets go! Well, it would be hard to select a computer without a case. You'll find some good cases as well as all other computer software at http://www.newegg.com/. Cases come in many varieties and it's hard to pick. The case has little impact on performance, so pick it on personal preference. If the case does not come with a Power supply, make sure to pick one up. If you plan on doing word processing or something similar to that 200-300 Watts should be sufficient while a gaming computer might want 500 Watts. Ok, on to the motherboard. There are two main options you can go with, AMD or Intel. You might want to go with AMD, as they currently offer affordable 64 bit technology. Make sure the motherboard you pick has "Socket 939", so it will be compatible with the latest proccesors. If you have a lot of money to burn, go pick a motherboard that has SLi enabled which allows two video cards to operate in tandem. The proccesors. While selecting a processor, keep in mind that your cpu must be compatable with your motherboard. Do this by ensuring that they both use the same socket. Keep in mind with 64 bit proccesor speed cannot be directly compared to pentium 4s. More to come later!

I wonder what you mean by game company. Do you mean publishers? Or do you mean actual studios and stuff? Excuse me, but I really dont have much info on game DEVELOPMENT.

The new beta 1.9 is very good looking. I use a dual boot of linux and windows, and I just hate it when people are like "micro$oft" and stuff, it makes me angry. I mean, dont be angry just because they are a monopoly.

I noticed that this forum is running a trial. You should probably buy the full version because it's not very expensive considering that you can give away all this free hosting. Invision is probably better than most software except for the fact its not under the gpl, thats why I use phpbb2.

I dislike PHP-Nuke. I felt that it was to complicated, and a lot of stuff unnessacary. Also, there are many portals that are built from or derived from phpbb2.

That kind of stuff is not something that professionals use(ovbiously).Some great experience would be joining a mod team or making a mod for a game such as Half Life 2.

I would say Battlefield 2 is going to be a great game. I played the demo and its pretty fun. After playing all the tactical shooters I think its time for some aracde type action. Being commander and artillery striking the US carrier was so amusing while they waited for planes.
