SQL backups are REALLY quick. They're about 2kb sized files(depending on the info you have in them, forums take longer). So if you only need SQL you can just use the SQL backup tool that cPanel has. It'll download the SQL DB's to your desktop.

Xatre.info - My New Website Design. By delivi
Kubi replied to delivi's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I like the first layout better. The only thing I can suggest right now, sence there is nothing on the website, is to fix the search button. It's a little to high. -
The backups were made before the installation. Ofcourse, during the installation there were new members, posts, ect, therefore when the db corrupt Opaque replaced it with the backup. Meaning all the posts and new members that joined during the uupgrade were lost.
-
Possibly. There were posts lost due to the db errors Opaque mentioned. I suppose posts posted within 2 days of the attempted upgrade were lost, maybe more. Sorry about that.
-
If I stopped at 1000 posts how would I be able to tortue you guys? That wouldn't work to well with me. There'd be a void in my life...

Forum Database Errors And Hosting Request Issues
Kubi replied to BuffaloHelp's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
It should not. My website works just fine, so I assume you're safe. If you're worried about losing data I suggest backing up anyways. -
Would you mind showing us the error page? It could be an incorrect db nname/password

I don't think they take a percentage. I don't believe they can, it's supposed to be free to use(paypal).Moved to the correct forum...

No, I've never used Joomla. Not a fan of CMS, I prefer message boards, just IPB or vB. I have used e107 though, which was "OK", but I didn't like it enough to base my entire site off of.

Replying to a spam topic, stating the topic is "Spam" is grounds for a warning. To prevent things like this we ecourage members to use the report button when you find a spam topic, and not reply to it...As for your credits, I'm not sure where they disappeared to, I don't believe there's been a topic deleted that someone posted in.

I go with haslips suggestion. If you want you may even be able to make that 1 pixel image go under the ad you placed for Xisto(thank you). CSS: .buttonl { background-image url(images/x.png) height: 1px width: 1px }; Possibly looking something like that. Just place the div tag for it somewhere <div class=buttonl></div> Hope you figure it out.

Open Source Technology Software Development and Implementation
Kubi replied to JeremyServ's topic in Web Hosting Support
Trap17 provides all the features a normal paid host would, just with less space. There are no ads. We encourage you to try to post on the forums to earn credits, it's very easy. But if you are unable to you pay purchase hosting credits though our process page. As far as I know Joomla works fine on Xisto. Xisto even provides a free joomla installation with your webshost.(many others included with fantastico). Moved to Questions/Queries. -
Have you tryed e107 yet? http://e107.org/news.php Xisto's host comes with php-Nuke aswell. Try that.
-
Yes, he is very nice looking. Wouldn't you want to get him neutered though? He looks sad for some reason...

There is NO way to bypass the Rapid Share wait. Don't post links to programs if you're not going to explain what they do. Thread closed.

I have a short description a friend gave me, of one of her favorite books. I can't seem to find it, and she can't remember the name. Wondering if anyone can help fill in the blanks here. Here's the description; Sorry it can't be more elaborate. Hope I get some ideas .
-
Fairly nice idea. But seeing as how Xisto - Web Hosting and Xisto are on different servers(correct me if I'm wrong), this would require a HUGE server migration. All of the hosted members accounts, databases, files, everything, would have to migrate to a new server. Which would new doubt take days, there's just so much!
