  1. For my needs, Opera is much better.True it isn't quite as compatible with fancy websites as Firefox is, but it's much faster and makes browsing easier and more enjoyable to me. It just seems more streamlined imo. I haven't customized Firefox much though, I don't need to. Opera's great.
  2. I love Opera and have been using it for what seems like forever. In my opinion, it is way way way better than Firefox, which is pretty good. Internet Explorer is complete junk. Opera does have some bugs loading webpages but on those rare occasions I use firefox which is quite a bit slower but gets the job done. Opera is incredibly fast on dial-up which is what i'm stuck with using. It might not make a difference on broadband, but for me the difference between loading this page on opera and firefox is like, 20-30 seconds.
  3. Anyone out there into FTA stuff? I don't really watch the free tv, just acquiring more toys to play with! Too bad about 'ol Nagravision3.. wonder if it will be cracked?
  4. Anyone ever own that old blue Cabo mp3 player? It was the first MP3 player I owned, way before the mp3 player craze hit. It held something like 32mb which at the time I thought was a great deal for the huge $500 price,o r atleast convinced myself of that because I like gadgets. I remember thinking, sure you can only fit a few songs on it, but you can re-use it!! It's so economical!! It had surprisingly buggy software and died after about a year. It's just funny to look back at how small and junky it was compared to the MP3 behemoths of today with their 10000000 gb hard drives. It did the job, but you can buy a mp3 player for $10 that works better now. Reading the mp3 player thread on here just reminded me of my first mp3 player. .. 64mb version pic.. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  5. The original post is extremely old, but I'd like to add that I was asking this very same question at about the same time. I went with the Creative ZenVision M and it has been a great little thing. I've used it for music. I've used it for videos. Okay, those are the obvious ones, but I've also used it for ebooks, recording movies/tv shows by using it as a small external hard drive, I use it as a guitar practice tool and I used to use it as a small portable hard drive for transferring things that were bigger than 1/2gb flash keys could hold.?Awesome thing!! Still using it years later.
  6. Hi all, I'm Rob and I live in NB, Canada. I'm 22 years old and I signed up here for the free web hosting ?but I was surprised to see there's quite a bit of interesting stuff going on in the forums. I did some basic webpage designing a long time ago but now I had a resurging interest in php/mysql so I'm learning it. I have other interests, if anyone cares, such as music (..guitarist mostly but interested in mostly everything musical, different instruments I wish I could afford, electronic music, etc.. and have an interest in world music). I enjoy helping people, so if anyone happens to be interesting in learning to play guitar or have other questions I'd be glad to offer some help.Well that's a decent introduction, see you all in other parts of the forums hopefully.
  7. Hello there Masroor Aijaz from Karachi Pakistan. I'm Rob from Canada and I'm also new here and will be posting my own little introduction in a minute!
