  1. googlue, you can delete add-on domains and re-add it. there are settingsin your cpanel for that. just go to your add-on domains cpanel settings, and you will see your list of add-on domains. below the "Note:" (below theADD button), you can see the DELETE add-on domain button.however, if your .info simply redirects to a folder in your hosting, youcan reset the redirection settings from where you got your .info domain.
  2. if u installed phpnuke from the cpanel scripts, you can backup your DB first, then remove it. then reinstall to another folder, and import back your DB.moving it only would scr3w the sql settings used earlier.
  3. gotcha41, that code you posted works just fine. maybe just the way you entered it into your page could be wrong. it's in two parts actually. the script part: from <script language="JavaScript"> to </script> - which should go somewhere between your <head> </head> tags. and the execute part: <BODY BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF" onload="flash();"> - which goes right immediately after your </head> tag. (see to it that you have only one body tag). that should work, as you can see from the complete quote of the html page below i tested it on.
  4. ok. will download that for testing on my home server to see what featuresthere are that may not work properly with Xisto.
  5. try this. this IS the proper format as i tested creating one on mine.user: test@bosz.trap17.compass: test1234ftp: bosz.trap17.comtell me if you can connect successfully.
  6. what portal system/program are you using? there are many kinds of such inexistence. we couldn't tell you anything from experience if you don't tell us what in particular it is you want help with.with chmodding, i encountered no problems so far with Xisto.
  7. go to your cpanel. look for MYSQL there or use PhpMyAdmin. and you canfind a database there only if you have created one already.
  8. downpour, you may want to try using your file manager via cpanel. it's undersite management tools. just be careful trashing files from there as you could trash your whole site if you delete too much
  9. best logos that stick to mind are those logos which are simple and can standout even when rendered in monochrome. imagine logos by IBM, SONY,MiCro$ofT, APPLE... i would suggest (ToxiqueSprite before right? ) with a pencil sketch firstand not be too caught up in a rainbow of colors (although it's not that bad) imagine your logo as black and white and see if it will appear nice in a t-shirt, cap, or mug. hehhe? (you won't know how famous your logo wouldbecome in the future, right? so, envision merchandising ala-George Lucas fromthe very beginning of logo design ). if it does not look good as an outline,re-design. then add colors later if you still want it that way.
  10. honestly, i like the way you used flash in your site. simple is beautiful.and as hatebreed said, just play around with your flash mx and dreamweavermx some more and for sure you'll be churning out a professional web sitein no time :(for graphic design, you may want to use photoshop. a lot of tutorials havebeen posted here at Xisto. do some forum search and apply some veryingenious graphic techniques to your web site. but still, keep it simple.
  11. i was planning to put that same image as my forum sig weeks ago when i wasgetting annoyed with all the inane queries here which can be easily found within 5 seconds using google lolz didnt push through with it since the image issomewhat bandwidth-hungry
  12. yeah, it sounds nice. but the graphics load would cripple your fast and efficient google search (especially for dialup users like me) i'll get a faster connection first...
  13. no problem, clouds glad to be of help. that is actually one precious gem in Photoshop that is not too well known.
  14. welcome to Xisto jukie yes, Xisto provides free hosting for active forum members. and as it even exceeds the features of a paid hosting, yes, you can create any and as many polls as you want in your site (at least, you must know how to make the codes for your polls but you can always come to the forums to ask for help if you need them )
  15. yeah, 250MB would be nice. but with all the features of a paid hosting, and very active forum support, i'd settle for 150MB just about now. :(maybe when root admin can make Xisto pr0f1table, a package for250MB would be an option in the future that's why we all have tosupport Xisto by giving it the impressions and c*l*i*c*k*s it need tomaintain a free professional hosting service
  16. do you have photoshop? photoshop has a very good wizard to do just that:FILE > AUTOMATE > WEB PHOTO GALLERY.
  17. that may just be a typographical error mobile... the packages followed arethose listed in the "Request Hosting" section (see pinned posts). you maywant to read those in detail to get more acquainted with what Xistohosting allows and does not allow. btw, how do you plan to use let's say, the delta package (package 4 = 150MB) if ever you get it later? are you intending to use your hosting for downloads only?root admin may not agree if it is *exclusively* for such purpose (moreso if thedownloads border on copyrighted materials).
  18. PHP-Nuke v6.8phpBB v2.0.10that's the version currently available for installation in the cpanel.hope this helps.
  19. welcome to Xisto googlue your hosting will depend on your input in the forums... so stay active in the forums and you will not regret it. :(btw, your googlue sig rocks
  20. for permission settings, it all depends on what your folder or webpage needs.if you're setting up php pages, i would suppose you have to check thescript installation procedures for the permission settings if it needs any. forregular htm/html pages, no such need ordinarily.for ur other question, i would suggest you not to delete those files asit may have some important significance to Xisto. am not sure though.just wait for an admin/mod to reply on this matter.
  21. way to go punit! let's have this thing at Xisto. :(let's showcase the best of the best of Xisto hosted sites.
  22. ow, right... totally forgot about that. :(btw h3x, what's ur web url?
  23. huh? how did u get hosting with zero posts? (this thread is your first )anyway, Xisto instantly recognizes .htm, .html, .php, from my experience. and i didnt have to configure any .htaccess file.
  24. i havent tried free ftp apps with this feature. commercial ones like cuteFTP can do that. "Cuteftp also supports site to site transfers, thats where you transfer a file from one ftp to another ftp without using your modem. This is done by opening 2 FTP windows and dragging a file from one person over to the other one."some google keywords to search: +"server to server" +FTP +free +downloadthat may help if you need a freeware with such functionality.
  25. great choice of color... i love all shades of blue and the smokey background effect is really effective. it exudes freshness and gives Xisto a heavenly touch.lolz. but it's true, Xisto is really a heaven-sent free webhost as pointedout early in this thread, some spell check needed, but a minor task to do. :(let us see some more of your stuff later, TS.
