They're both ugly designs, no matter how you look at it. The old x-box is no better. They should come out with something dark, sleek and sexy if they want people to be dazzled by it's high-tech and beauty. I suppose it's the hardware and software that is inside that counts.

I use Microsoft Paint all the time. You can call me strange, but I actually enjoy using it. Often I'm on my old college's computer trying to make things for my site, and I am not able to install programs (except for the occasional one), so I don't think I could use any other program on here except Paint. My old college is pretty cheap, so I don't think they'll provide anything better than the cheapest thing possible. lol Oh well. They should invest in good old Paint Shop Pro 9. I may suggest it to them. lol nah.

ATI has finally released a new graphics card for laptops, the X800 XT. Serious gamers know that this is a high-end video card. It's based on a 256-bit interface, and GDDR3 memory. They don't say how much RAM it has. ATI's press release is here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

I heard a few years ago that turning off your computer does a little bit of damage to it, and over time that's not good. Owning a computer does cost quite a bit just by keeping it on all the time. I'm not sure it's worth it, so I always turn mine off. ***************************************************************** But if people need to shut off their computer, and turn it on again, it's BEST to wait 30 seconds so the static electricity leaves. *****************************************************************

Games may affect some people to some degree. I know that for sure. Every experience in life affects people and changes them to some degree. I strongly believe video games (especially online ones) do over stimulate the brain, and also cause aggression if someone plays too long. Gaming is fun, but it can also be stressful. As for violence, I don't know if it has any cases of that, but there is always a chance of it I'm sure.

I wish to make one, but I don't know what to get. Any help would be appriciated. -
War Who would win in a war, China or the United States?
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to kahat's topic in General Discussion
When I said "great battle", I meant grand, large, huge, and very destructive. I never meant it would be a good thing. I think war should never be an alternative to anything, not even as a last resort. -
Why is this in there? I can understand a simple "Yes" and "No", but having this as an option makes the discussion biased. If you include a little more, you will neutralise it by including this... Therefore you'll have a Yes/Agree, Yes/Disagree, No/Agree, No/Disagree. It coveres everything. You might as well get rid of the "Yes" and "No" in this case since it is probing into a new area, but ignoring the other options that must be included. Does anyone agree / disagree with me? Personally I don't care what people do. Marriage is a man-made thing, based on everyone's own ideas of right and wrong. To say ones own opinion is wrong, that is an unfair comment. To say their opinion is right, that's just a matter of personal opinion again, and it may not be considered completely correct. This is only based on what people prefer. Overall I say Yes! Sure, why not? If homosexuals and bisexuals want to get married, I will respect and support that. The way I see it, is if people want to do something in life, they should be allowed to do it without political interference, rejection, or obstruction.

War Who would win in a war, China or the United States?
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to kahat's topic in General Discussion
The U.S. has a lot of technology, money, and resources. China is the most populated country in the world. I think that management, courage, intelligence, dedication, and aggression would win the war. I'd have to say that.... hmm tough decision. I'd say that China would win, because they can spread is great numbers and overtake the U.S. if it happened. The U.S. is resourceful however, and I'm sure they have a few cards up their slieves. It would be a great battle if it were to happen. -
Last Free Version Of Php Nuke Is This Really Happening?
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to wariorpk's topic in Software
I found out that PHP Nuke is releasing 7.7 for free on their page now. Originally I thought it was an older version as their last free one, but I was wrong. The cost went from $10 for it, up to $20 for a short time, but I see the price is back down to $10 again. Am I wrong on this? -
I did some quick research, and found it it is plagiarism. Now I know for the future.

Notice from snlildude87: Quote tags are awesome. Use them next time when you use the buttons Ctrl, C, and V. Thank you. 148149[/snapback] snlildude87, yes quote tags are awesome, I agree with you there 100%. That is excellent advice you pointed out to me, and all of the users at Xisto.com. I commend you on this, and I thank you for your valued tips and support as a moderator. I'll be glad to continue to quote material that is not my own in the future, just as I always have done. Yes, this article I made is similar to one on the Internet, but it is not the same. The words have been changed when I wrote it, therefore I believe it cannot be considered "plagiarised", and it cannot be considered to be copied using Ctrl + C from any webpage, book, or any other source. The article I wrote was referenced from CNET. The one that I wrote came from the geek.com located here http://www.geek.com/date/2005/6/, and I wrote my own version changing the words to my own. A few of the words are the same as everyone can see, but none of them are identical or copied using Ctrl and C. If anything I wrote is too similar to the article on geek.com, then I suppose I owe you and everyone at Xisto an apology for that. If this is too similar, I would appreciate it if you would send me a PM to let me know what level of similarity an article has to have in order to be considered Ctrl + C (copied) material. I'll be happy to go by your guidelines as best as I can in the future if you choose to inform me. Or if you prefer, feel free to send me e-mail instead. Thank you! No hard feelings. And of course, have a great day.

Enabling Hyperthreading how do you do it?
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to Styx's topic in Hardware Workshop
HT (Hyper-Threading) is a technology Intel made to enables multi-threaded software applications to execute threads in parallel. In other words, it makes the CPU work about 25% faster for certain applications. You have to buy an Intel CPU that specifically identifies it supports HT. If you look at this picture, you will see a small H and T in the upper right of the logo. This specifies it has HT. Here is an article on Hyper-Threading: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/homepage.html I hope this helps. -

Internet erase ALL records of internet files
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to c3nar1us's topic in Science and Technology
If you use Windows, and press Ctrl and H at the same time, it shows your history of all the web pages you have visited in a specified time. You can delete them as well, which hides where you have gone on the Internet. If you are using a companys computer, their router will record where you go most likely, so there's no hiding your history. -
Apple And Intel? UHH WTH??
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to Bankotsu's topic in Science and Technology
Yes, it is true. IBM was Apple's official provider up until recently. Now Intel is up to take a shot. -
Mp3 Players? iPod / Creative Zen / others?
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to Donegal's topic in Science and Technology
I think an iPod would be best. If you have a lot of music, and plan on getting more for the future, a 40 GB one would be a really good idea. Rated #1: iPod http://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/ Review: http://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/ -

Amd64 Vs P4 64bit AMD Athlon 64bit vs P4 64bit
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to ausnrl's topic in Software
Oh no. Fact: Just so you know, a higher GHz (or MHz) rating on a CPU has nothing to do with how well it performs. Intel has relied on this for a long time by increasing its clock speed, while AMD focuses on the architecture of its CPUs. Don't be fooled by this myth, the performance has nothing to do with clock speed! Although it does help increase performance marginally, it does not make a significant difference. Here is a slightly outdated article, but it's worth reading: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Celerons: If you ever thought MHz / GHz is good, the Intel Celerons are a cheaper alternative, but even at higher clock frequencies, their performance is still very poor. AMD CPUs are more advanced, even if they are lower; their higher performing chips still outperform any higher performing Intel chip at the same frequency. Heat: As CPUs get faster, they require more power. With more power comes more heat. With more heat comes lower performance. If you compare the performance between the P4 at 3.2 GHz, and a P4 at 3.4 GHz, they start to reach a bottleneck where the performance is no longer increasing due to the amount of heat it is producing. -
Motherboards What you reccomend??

ASUS motherboards are used most of all worldwide. I would only ever buy an ASUS if I had to choose the best. -
Bios Upgrade? *wants to overclock*
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to Dayzed's topic in Hardware Workshop
Upgrading the BIOS will not help you to overclock anything. The BIOS contains hundreds of small programs that make your computer boot up when you turn it on. A newer BIOS will only support more up to date hardware, but it won't help you overclock. -
If you want a really good computer, make or buy a custom-made one, and select each part you want. Make sure they are name-brand components only. Stay away from parts that are OEM.
