Masturbation - A Psychological Addiction
armondtimesbelize replied to wanchope's topic in Health & Fitness
Well, dude, simply not wanting to do it anymore is not likely to work. You see, you are hard-wired to do it. It's a natural form of your sexual development. Now I'm not saying that you will be unsuccessful, but it will be extremely difficult, if not next to impossible.Shot of physically injuring yourself, as to make it uncomfortable, it will mainly be a "mind over matter" thing. You'll just have to use every once of your willpower. Good luck.Though it doesn't seem that you are at all addicted to masturbation, the best way to stop is to slowly and gradually wean yourself from it. Reduce the amount of times you masturbate per day/week. As you stop doing it, the urge will seem strong, but you'll be able to overcome it. Once you do, your body will eventually adjust. Be aware that during the time you quit masturbating, you may experience Nocturnal Emissions (Wet Dreams), but they may reduce as your body adjusts to your not masturbating. Hope this helps. You may try writing yourself notes, and leaving them everywhere. Write them in code, so only you know what the meaning is. And put them EVERYWHERE.You'll have to set your mind to it if you really want to stop, or cut back. Whatever your usual routine is, change it. Don't give yourself so much extra alone time and when you start to get excited think of something gross. But I'd say it's pretty healthy to masturbate a few times a week. Best of luck! Its not necessarily "best" to stop. There are a lot worse things you could be doing. If you really want to stop then get rid of your porn and things that make you think of sex and find a hobby that distracts you. Who said it's best to stop? It's natural that's why we do it, and it isn't good to stop, it makes no difference apart from keeping up the fresh sperm which in nature is a good thing. Start having sex everyday then you might stop, or take medication like anti depressants or prostate pills which can lower libido. Why the hell do you want to stopIF YOUR IN YOUR TEENAGE YEARS, ITS NORMAL. YOU JUST FIGURED OUT HOW TO MASTURBATE, AND IT FEELS SO GD. AFTER A WHILE, AND AFTER GETTING A G.F, YOU'LL GET TIRED OF IT. OR YOU'LL JUST LITE'IN UP ON IT.who told u not to masturbate. masturbate all u want. it will help you last longer in sex. swear on my balls. if you wanna stop masturbating have someone else do it for you. or cut a whole in a grapefruit and put ur peepee in itI think I've heard this question here before... but anyway, I think it's possible to get addicted to anything. In my personal dictionary, 'addiction' is when you're having just too much of something that it's no longer good for you. So in your case, if masturbation is being done to the point that it's already affecting you adversely [i.e. can't go to sleep unless you do it] then it may be called an addiction. -
I think that using computer is not considered "addicted" but you should not use it all the time, you should spend time doing something else also.Wean yourself off the computer, a little at a time. Set a timer for one hour, to start off, & when the timer goes off, shut down your computer until the next day. When the next day comes, set the timer for 55 minutes, etc. Using 5 minute increments, until you're down to 10 min. per day. When the timer goes off, time is up!!! Then it's family time.Try to get some help. Maybe this is something that you are getting lost in for a reason. Try to figure out what is going on that you feel the need to be on here all the time and neglect your family. Talk to someone that you can trust and talk to your family as well. Family is the most important thing. :lol:Try to reduce computer time *little by little*. If u sit 2 hours, lessen it to 1.30 hrs. Give yourself a *reward* when u get off the computer. Something u can look forward to. Eg. if u love hot chocolate, tell urself u can only have the hot chocolate if u get off the computer. Get out of the house. Socialize. Take a walk. Once you are out, believe me, u wont miss it.computers can be very addictive. try unplugging your pc for a few days or put the keyboard in the closet. try watching movies with your family or dining out. stay focus on other things and limit your time on the pc.I know it has been the best invention since the wheel, is it the computer and electronics I love, or my dependency b/c of pure boredom.... If it is from being bored, I do learn and find out hell of alot of info on this machine I cannot find other howWhy are computers addictive - Because you can sit do nothing and vegetate; while at the same time you feel productive but really did nothing but go up a level. Finding out information is great but becoming a fat, uncoordinated, hart patient is not that cool. Computers are good and bad. They have taken the kids from the playground and sat them in a chair for hours at a time. Being board is a sign of not being creative. Learning to entertain yourself requires that you try new things. If the power went out for a month in any American neighborhood neighbors would be out in the streets meeting each other developing community. People would be having get togethers and BBQs in front of their houses. Kids would be playing together and forming teams to play games, and people would lookout for their neighbors. But computers and TV offer so much more. Don't get me wrong i love them too, but as a community, without them quality of life would be better.I have the same problem; i can spend hours online. It's not through boredom though, there's lots i could be doing - lots of things i SHOULD be doing right now - but the computer provides somewhere i can meet new people, share my thoughts and find out information quickly and easily. There's worse things to be addicted to than the computer. As long as your real life work and relationships aren't suffering then don't worry about it.---> Efrain was here

I like to think that I'm not, but I totally am. Hahahahaha My problem is that I go online and I do absolutely nothing. I'm not even kidding you. I just read things until I realize it's about 2-3 in the morning, sometimes later, and I didn't do anything productive at all. But whatever!i constantly sit online for hours the whole day online, usually on this site. I stay up until 4 am on the internet, and unless i have something to do, i stay online. And actually i can stop thats not a problem, but only if i have something to do, i cant limit my time on the internet. It passes by so fast and an hour passes by and then two yet i pay no attention to the time and sit online as much as i want to, until i dont want to.and that affects my sleeping because i go to sleep at like 3 am, if not later and then wake up at like 1 pm. and thats not healthy, before i used to wake up at 9am, and now i cant. how can i limit my time on the internet?I'm the same. It seemed good at the time but now the true effects of it are coming out. I spend so much time on here and so do my friends, when we should be outside together having fun. Computers have made a very isolated world...ironic i know, but i dont think society has ever been so disconnected from those around us...just find something else to do. make up a list like i do (though i make lists to remind me more than to prevent going online)and you can't wish away technology. we would never even be able to talk if it weren't for the internet.---> Efrain was here

I definitely agree. Not just with musicians, but with other artistic children of minority minds. I am actually a teenager, and I despise the teaching method of schools, especially prep schools, an empire working to get their students to conform to a standardized way of life through standardized and brainwashing educational methods. They're a big reason why we have a vast majority of drooling masses spawning across the world. The school officials there can have a tendency to spot out anybody who appears different and getting on their backs for their diverse and unique personalities, doing whatever they can to get them to conform to being 'good students' that fit their standards and expectations. An entire class is taught how to play the violin, but Johnny wants to play the electric guitar. Because of this, school officials are convinced that he is diagnosed with a serious mental disorder and must be dealt with immediately.

Don't worry, everything in this world has an end. Whenever something was created into the world, it was meant to be "destroyed" at sometime, somehow. I personally don't afraid of death because I don't think it as something "bad". If I have given life to my offspring, I would gladly die to give them space, resource, and the understanding of life. Of course, if I done everything I need to do with my heirs then there is no more needs for me to keep living. Otherwise it would be TOO unfair in this world of unfairness. No one in this world yet knows what really happens after you die. Maybe you do go to heaven, or continual to an afterlife. Everything is possible. However, if death is so bad, then why do you only get to die ONCE?...If you could be resurrected after 3 month's of being dead, would that make it better? You get to live forever after that.- The expected answer here is a readily accepted "Yes, of course I will tolerate death for 3 months to be alive again!"However, in death, like in sleep, you have no consciousness of time and space. If you have ever had a surgery, you would know that all you remember is an ephemeral blackout, and then waking back up again; whether the surgery was 3 hours or 18 hours, you wouldn't know the difference. Therefore, if you were dead for 3 months, you would lack the consciousness to anticipate your promised Resurrection. In fact, you could be forgotten for 10,000 years in death and not know the difference. And for that matter, if an infinity passes you by, forgotten by those who promised you life after 3 months, you still would not appreciate the difference. To this end, it matters little to you if you are never resurrected at all.You would lack the consciousness that produces anticipation, anxiety, and fear. In fact, if your consciousness is your oppressor, then you will necessarily be less miserable dead than alive, if only because you are free from your fear.On the afterlife: One cannot know, and frankly, it matters little. If there is something, you will be there; if there is nothing, you will not know about it.Further, there is not much to fret losing in life; in fact, life should not be embraced as a thing in and of itself. Life is PART of the economical process of Nature's dissolution-- that is, life is the process of dying (of self-cancellation). No one can know what is after death. Has anyone ever come back to tell you? And for the matter, has any dead person ever come back in the history of earth to tell them? Perhaps the theory of afterlife is derived from the collective abhorrence to the notion; therefore, believing in afterlife ameliorates the anxiety of anticipating death. And if you are so fearful and miserable, then what kind of life are you trying defend? What are you afraid of losing if your life is that oppressed? It is irrational fear that you have. You should enjoy the moments you have. People say life is short. But life is too long, and grueling. Taste the wine and song of earth and die with resolve. Imagine how miserable infinite life would be... grueling and lonely, without end, without resolve. There is no value in infinite things (consider salt water). But the limited things have value to us due to there scarcity (consider gold). With the finitude of mortality comes fear by anticipation. With immortality comes utter boredom. Chose the balance and enjoy a valued, limited time frame. I hope this helps.I'm in pretty young and am quite accepting of the possibility that there is nothing after death.good luck.--> Efrain was here

As far as spectator sports goes there are two I really don't understand and probably more that I haven't considered which should be on the list. I think the worst one is basketball. There seems to be no point to the middle portion of the court which is ignored by all the players. The team which has possession is allowed to run to the attacking end of the court without challenge from the defending team unlike most other team sports in which the defending team actually defends their ground. By contrast netball is a much better court game because of the court restrictions on the players. Every bit of the court is used and at the elite level of the game played in Australia it is very fast. The other game I don't understand is golf. As a spectator sport it has to be the most boring thing ever invented to use up broadcast bandwidth. I can understand how actually playing golf would be good, but watching it on TV is pointless second only to listening to it on radio. TellyTubbies is more stimulating. So football ( soccer ) is the best and GOLF its too boring!!!

How Do Violent Video Games Affect Children?
armondtimesbelize replied to FreedomOverdose's topic in General Discussion
After reading this article I have to say that, yes, video games do have MINOR side affects on people who play games. I have been playing games since the age of about 4. And I'm not a violent person. I have the entire Mortal Kombat series for a majority of the platform game systems. And I beleive that the games you picked for your studies were bad choices. Capcom vs. SNK is not a violent game. There is no animated blood nor is there any gore in the game. Also the comment you made about GTA 3 was wrong as well. The object of the game is not to kill as many people as possible. The object of the game is to do what you're told and you might have to kill a few people. Also the game is rated M for a reason. If parents buy their children these games then they should not be allowed to file lawsuits against the developers of these games.Yes, video games desensitize people, but so do movies and television shows. Blaming children being violent on games and such isn't right. Parents who are too busy living their own lives to pay attention to their kids are to blame more than games, because that's all they are?games. Soon, someone will say that playing cowboys and Indians, or playing with toy soldiers, is bad for young children. -
Is Homosexuality Right Or Wrong? your views
armondtimesbelize replied to wakelim's topic in General Discussion
Honestly I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I mean, c'mon, how is it affecting our personal lives in any way? Why should we care? You're not the one who is homosexual or bisexual. You're not the one getting married to someone of your own gender. You're not the one who has struggled their whole entire life trying to accept that they're not "normal." Whatever society freaking claims normal is.Just leave them alone, okay? Remember that nobody chooses their sexuality, because if that were true, why would homosexuals and bisexuals have such a hard time accepting who they are? Think about it. And if it were agaisnt nature, it wouldn't happen. >.>; People need to remember that unlike our own laws, it's impossible to break the laws of nature.I just wanted to say that. Most of you have no idea how hard it is when you're not "straight," and that's a shame. You're constantly humilated and taunted, sometimes by your own friends and family. And you know what? You can get beat up and even killed, just because you're homosexual and bisexual. Just because you're different. People are cruel and simple-minded like that, and it's disgusting.*sighs -
Now I do believe that when you are flat lined there is a window where you can be brought back to life, either its like 1 minute or something but it is possible. Now of course that is if it's not natural causes for the flat line/death. But in fact if you "die" for 5 seconds, do you have no memories of this. Because that is exactly what being dead is. Is it like a computer that is turned off, only to be turned on 5 seconds later? Almost like a black standby on life. I don't know if I am making any sense but this topic really brought a lot of attention to me today. Imagine your lose of consciousness and what life would be like. Are you reborn. It really makes you question the reason for any existence if it is going to be destroyed eventually but at the same time makes you take into account each life as a priceless piece of nature.

Could You Forget Your First Love? can you forget
armondtimesbelize replied to m107's topic in General Discussion
To tell you the truth, not really. I had my first love about 4 years ago and still think about her at times. Even though I'm not in an active relationship, because of school, I haven't forgotten about her one bit. Maybe after i graduate i can finally ask her out. lol. But we have some weird and awkward years a back, but i never managed to ask her out or tell her to her face how i felt. but someday i hope, maybe sooner than later, because they tend to move on after high school. lol. -
I?m not suprised by this. Chrome auto updates itself without my consent (although I did consent for it to autoupdate in the EULA ) and the installation is so force (like not being able to customize anything?). Things like that are usually signs that the company?s attitude towards the costumer is less that perfect.Big corporations, that?s what you get. At least it?s open source, so it?ll probably fare well (if google doesn?t manage to tank the whole thing). It?s not like browsers that don?t have a operating system to support them have many chances in the market without open source? So tell me what you think about this latest Google Freeware Browser.

I get these types of emails on a weekly basis and it isn't surprising that some people still fall for these gimmicks. The truth is that new computer users or people who just haven't used it for years and now are fall into these traps all the time. When they hear something is for free or they have won a huge amount of money they just go crazy and think they are the luckiest person on earth. I have had experiences where people have actually emailed their contact information expecting the be millionaires in a few days. These scams are the worse, but people should know that they are just too good to be true. I mean, who gives away so much money to a random stranger. At least break it up into $10,000 or $1000 so more people can get a piece of the pie. Anyways, i have a collection in one of my email folders of messages claiming i have just won such amounts of money. I really hope that more people learn that these messages are really scams. And these scam artists which seem to increasingly come from Nigeria, are getting more sophisticate these days. They have changed their techniques and the wording of their 'letters.' One time they would tell you you won such an amount of money and ask for your contact information, now they want you to call someone, because they are trying to make the whole scheme legitimate. And most of the time these are people in internet cafes too.

Getting Enough Sleep At Night heres my advice
armondtimesbelize replied to Professor Kirby's topic in Health & Fitness
Yeah, i remember the first time i stayed up all night. I was on the computer messing around on the internet during a summer vacation. I think i started to hallucinate around 3:30 AM. I finally went to bed when the sun was coming up around 6:30 AM. That was a really weird experience. I am currently going to high school and if i did this during school days, that would really be messed up. I doubt that i would even be able to make the steps from the entrance of the campus to my classroom. Although some people think that when you sleep too much, you are just being lazy, i think sleep is ok. After that i went to bed i snuggled my pillow and slept all through the day, waking up around 6:30 pm and then, probably, another night up!? Really doess anyone one know if staying up all night and sleeping all day is a good thing?--> Efrain was here -

Civilization Iv The Best Strategy PC game
armondtimesbelize replied to the_undertaker_rip1994's topic in Computer Gaming
I agree, Civilization and Warcraft III are really cool strategy games. The best part are the world editor that allow you to create your own world and include your favorite characters, land units, structures, etc. But i think Empire Earth is also a a really cool games, same idea like the previous two and it also has a world editor and it has air units, unlike warcraft 3. but all are really cool startegy games i recommend anyone to try. -
How To Make A Website ? I want help please.
armondtimesbelize replied to ~Upnorf Cr3w~'s topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hey, everything sounds good. If i were you i would integrate everything into one website, both the forum and the pages that will make up your site, it only makes sense. It doesn't make any sense to have them on two separate serves, that would just be silly. I have a site and i integrate everything on the same site, forum, chat, blog, etc. Good luck and hope everything works out well. -
The Best Browser In Your Opinion for WIN32/64 systems
armondtimesbelize replied to jacob's topic in Software
Well i use 3 different web browsers for internet surfing. I use IEm Mozilla and Safari. I think IE is ok, but Mozilla i way better in computability, from my point of view. Safari is ok, but alot of times tables become distorted and a other compatibility issues take place. I like the fact that safari and mozilla and safari support tabbed windows, but the version of IE i have doesn't. But i think if i download the latest version, that does support it. lol Overall these browser are great and i use all 3 frequently. Haven't tries Opera yet though. -
I was also a bit suspicious when i first heard the name Xisto. But i hadn't read any of their reviews nor did i know how well their services was. I guess such a name may make other people weary about visiting such a free host, but such is life. The only thing i can say is join our community and see for yourself the services offered by Xisto, only then will you come to appreciate their work. I don't think it would be that easy to rename such a web host, because thousands of links are already linked to this name and any alteration may break many links. But overall, i like Xisto and now i know better. They are the best and i am a proud member.

Free Hosts Whats Not To Love? Right.. hate true some free hosts.
armondtimesbelize replied to special's topic in The Vent
When i first started with a free host, i wasn't aware about their forced ads, popups and embedded ads in my html code. I hate those sites alot. I've been with at least 3 free hosts on serious projects and all of them sucked, really, they had forced ads everywhere and limited features. They didn't have any php support or mysql. But then i decided to look for a better free host and was searching google for a couple days. Luckily i came across Xisto and i thank them for accepting me and this free host is them. Seriously, i'll recommend Xisto to anyone any day. to tell you the truth i don't think i've come across another fre host like Xisto. I don' think any other free host can compare to this one. Really, i love you guys.*Efrain was here -
To tell you the truth, sometimes i like dreams and sometimes i hate them. If i have a really great dream about something i really want, want to be, want to have, etc. I'm happy for the moment, in the dream. But as soon as i wake up, i realize it's not for real and that sucks. But at least i enjoyed myself while could. Then there's the other side of the spectrum, horror / scary dreams where i end up dying or someone close to me dying. I really hate those sci-fi kind of dreams, but as soon as i wake up i'm relieved that it was just a dream. Because if some of those things i dreamt were for real, i would be like wtf has happened to the world. Overall i think dreams are ok, but better dreams i always wish for. I think dreams are just a way for the brain to release subconscious thought that tend to bother us but aren't really discussed. If it's true that we only utilize about 10% of our brain, i really want to find out what all i can do with this head of mine before i die. I hope tonight's dream is comforting though.**Efrain was here

I also think that almost everyone with internet has some sort of freeware program. Like most people, once it's free i'm free to try it. Some of my favorite freeware programs are filezilla, limewire, mozilla, windows live messenger and the real player. There are many other i have, but these i mainly use.

Top 10 Geek Ways To Beat Boredom My list. Whats yours?
armondtimesbelize replied to Animator's topic in Software
I think the best way to past time is to watch or post videos on youtube, playing computer and video games or doing some website development. Personally, i find designing flash animation or even flash programs or mini-games to be the most entertaining past time. I always have a rewarding feeling after i've create something in flash, because i did it on my own. I also occasionally experiment with php on Xisto, where i have a free host domain. Thank you Xisto for that one. Also i like to create comics, draw or even experiment with photoshop. It always amazing that each time i use photoshop, my experimenting always makes me feel great. -
I've come across this problem several times in youtube, especially when i'm being critical about tv shows/ movies/ music/ bands/ celebrity related, because there are always die-hard fans you can't take the slittiest bit to criticism about their so called 'idols.' So what i have done is simply stopped posted in those related videos...just watch em and move on. But i have found it interesting to comment on educational videos/documentaries/science videos and it really interesting how they would comment about certain topics. Overall, i just learn to forget about those erratic commenters, because it's just a waste of time to worry about them. I rather comment if i have to and move on or just watch the videos and not comment at all. My News Wesbite

Am I Nuts? Crazy gut feeling had freaked me out
armondtimesbelize replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in General Discussion
Whenever someone has visions about these kinds of things, i never say they are crazy or retarded. Some may say you're a looney, but you just never know what might happen. I've know people who have had gut feelings about future events that they could have never known was going to happen, although, most of the times they were wrong. Maybe the hurricane a physical representation of some other form of danger. Anyways this is just my opinion. Whatever happens i will still be watching the weather channel regularly, because last year there we more than enough hurricanes (2) around my home country. -
