  1. well depending on what the person has done, they shouldn't be hired... "well I see here your applying to be our accountant, and your an ID Theif... Well congratulations! you're hired" whats wrong with that? like seriously, hire a murderer to euthanise animals or something, slaughter cattle/poultry but lets not let them work in schools or daycares. Dont let financial felons work around money/info etc etc etc does anyone else see the logic behind this?does anyone see a flaw? doubtful, its a completely sound concept. Cheers,
  2. Ok ok ok... freedom of speech taken into account... relating Obama to the collapse of the economy is ludicrous.... absolutely and totally blasphemous!Obama + Recession= Aftermath of BUSH!Obama was elected to be the one to clean up after the biggest mistake in US history since GW's conception. although he doesnt deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, he is cleaning up the mess left by Hurricane Bush, that destroyed democracy and freedom. Ok, we havent seen the greatest proof that Obama is doing a great job, but it took bush 8 years to run the USA into the ground, and Obama has been in office for less than 1 so get over it. If you want to blame anyone for what is going on, Blame Bush, Blame yourselves as Americans because YOU elected the fool, not once, but twice! right after you impeached Clinton for for doing absolutely NOTHING wrong.... That aside, I see alot of criticism about Obama, when he hasn't done anything wrong, hes cut salaries for bailout company exec's, he's set forth ideas to pull out of war and he has unified alot of people in the US, giving them hope...As for fox news, 'nuff said... weasels, hacks, liars, biased puppets... etc etc etc...
  3. Mr T starred as "The A Team"'s Sgt. "B.A." Barracus. Subsequentlly one of 2 or 3 members still alive... Yeah they started that a while ago... The Idea is to ressurect Hasselhoff as Knight Rider, but in a mentor role to his son, the new Knight Rider... yada yada yada, same old story as the original but with a new angle and lead characters. Ford ponied up some dough to have KITT as a Mustang, then there was a whole ordeal of who would voice KITT, the original guy they chose is the voice spokesman for Chevy or GMC and had to back down due to KITTs flaw (being a Ford). should be fun to see how both of those flashbacks turn out...
  4. well as it turns out Mr T, was a bouncer way back when, and he entered into a wee lil contest called, "The World's Toughest Bouncer Contest" in 1980. Of course 1980 was a more simple time, where mankind had Mandela locked away for wanting freedom as a black man, and Homosexual's were contagious vessels of AIDS etc etc etc and so on down thru the line of ignorance and stupidity that was the 80's. The contest consisted of many events included, yes, no joke, dwarf tossing... indeed it is what you think it is... the man powered propulsion of a vertically challenged individual for sport... of course saftey percautions were taken, helmets and padding... I thought this was interesting and would share this with everyone... this is an email written to twistededge.org about the topic of dwarf tossing/midget throwing... BEST EMAIL EVER! so there... now you know.... oops... I forgot to mention... it was the 1982 Bouncer comp that MR T was discovered by Sly Stallone...
  5. Yes Indeed welcome to Xisto... you need not ask what happened to Traps 1-16... we dare not speak of it... lol so long as you register with Xisto - Support and billing Xisto - Support and Billing with your email address you can start collecting MyCents (Trap money) which will help you get the free domain. All you have to do to earn mycents once registered is to post lots of quality posts, no spam, long in content, and of course keep it politically correct and or appropriate, and eventually you can have unlimited BW and your own domain name without pulling your CC out. we have answers for any question and just about anything you need here... kinda like a family, but more dysfunctional.
  6. OK, for one thats not the point. Just becasue someone saves money, does not mean they fall in line with extra tax cuts or anything, but If your salary is 500K a yr, then you need to share the wealth. THis topic is about bailouts not how much money you can save or anything like that. Besides, once you earn money and save it, its already been taxed (except interest)
  7. There are no such things a silly questions here. You ask and someone will answer, just because you dont know, doesnt mean you cant learn.
  8. I love the trap, so many questions, such good people to answer them.
  9. to the best of my knowledge you followed the incorrect path and added an additional fee for something into your bundle. I just activated mine as well and I was only charged $1.95USD off of my "MyCENTS". I would of course submit a ticket or wait for a Mod to confirm or deny my theory, but it sounds viable and I dont see why else you would be charged for the domain when adding one of the affiliate domains keeps it at $1.95USD/Month for hosting. Cheers,
  10. Why the past tense? "Dragons" still exist, in fact I have one next to me (No not the wife). Althought the "Dragon" race is not extinct, our perception of them is, how do you say, questionable. My dragon, is an Bearded one, from Australia, quite common actually. also Komodo, Frilled, Water etc. Do I beleive that the general human perception of dragons existed, Not really... I beleive, like many other things, that they are a "Fisherman's Tale" where the fish just keep getting bigger and tougher everytime the story gets told. It seems to be human nature, to brag about their battles, but spice em up just a little bit, enough to make it worth telling, which in turn gets inflated by a listener when re-telling and so on and so on. It is entirely possible that one day, a long long time ago, in a land far away, that a man came across a vicious reptile defending its territory and he became so scared when confronted about the events he stated and described what we know as dragons today. This is my view on the matter, it is entire plausible, but potentially ludacris at the same time. I hope all enjoy my take on the matter.
  11. I think thats what Im going to do... Im just a little ticked about the confusion, I thought I HAD to have a sub-domain indicator on it, but I guess not... Thanks for your help Bux...
  12. Hi there, I applied for hosting thru Mycents, and entered all my info, but as it turns out Piper2051@Xisto.com (as im told i have to have unless I register the domain myself) turned out as piper2051trap17.com... Im kinda mad that i couldve had piper2051.com or something else, although I dont have an issue with the @Xisto.com idea, but this is ridiculous. is there anyway to change it or will I have to re apply for hosting under the new name?
  13. The hill was steep, the air was chilledmany had tried, and most were killed. but we here we are, for our chanceto take the ridge of, Vimy, France. The ridge so high, and tranches deepthe time was close, too close for sleep.united as one, the very first timeto defend against "The Fuhr's" crimes. the last 2 months, was time well spentwe will not give up, and not relent.as dawn breaks, and the time draws nearwe ready up, and swallow fear.the guns unleash, and shells explodewe will only stop as they reload. showcasing our nations pride, and of course, the "Vimy Glide"100 yards, at every roundand when they stop, we hit the groundfrom April 9th to 12th, this was our lifeour only wish, to end the strife.(for those of you that dont know the battle of vimy ridge was when canada proved itself and saved the french)
  14. as for this, If you ever pulled this on me I would take it from you and beat you half to death with it just to prove a point.
  15. Let me make myself clear. After years of experience of Security/law enforcement/Martial arts(sparring) I have come to an interesting conclusion. You already posses the most powerful weapons of legal nature in the world. Your Head, and your will to survive an attack. All others fail beacause ANYTHING, yes ANYTHING you use other than those two can be used against you. Physical weapons are not a substitute for common sense and self preservation. That being said, if you insist on using pressure points, I recomend a course called PPCT (Pressure Point Control Tactics) It is a 3 day course that focuses on not only pressure points and takedowns (since you seem to be itching to fight) but use of force, powers of arrest (citizens arrest included) as well as verbal direction techniques and handcuffing procedures.PPCT is an Internationally recognised self defense/security/law enforcement program designed mainly around Judo, and has BEEN DESIGNED for "Legal, Medical and Tactical coverage" in the event your attacker should get hurt, and decide to sue you. Yes it happens, you as the "victim" CAN be sued for liability. If used properly and in accordance with training and local laws, PPCT will do anything possible including providing precident documents to defend you. This course is used by Law Enforcement agencies across north america as a STANDARD program. although I am not 100% on its availability in the UK. So to sum everything up, weapons or tools of self defense are idiotic unless you have gone thru several programs or Dojo's to learn how to do unarmed THEN armed. A KUBATON CAN AND WILL KILL! and you will be held liable self defense or not, in accordance with local laws. General rule for self defense cases is as such: EQUAL/LAWFUL/NECESSARY/JUSTIFIABLE FORCE ONLY. "Force+1" as it is known (being the theory of using just over the force being used against you) only applies in certain situations such as "an agent of property" or a "peace officer during the execution of his/her duties" Dont get me wrong there are excellent tools available to assist with self defense but there is no substitute for common sense and prevention. If confronted with a "fight or flight" situation, and no ready escape is available, use any available opportunity to strike "soft tissue" usually best to aim for the face (eyes, nose, throat) or just under the rib cage with a flat palm directing force upwards... This should be IMMEDIATELY followed by RUNNING away and contacting the authorities. Dont try to be a hero, because guess what, you arent one... In my line of work I have been stabbed, clubbed and had firearms pointed at me, its not worth whatever is in your wallet to be stupid and trying to look tough for a girl/guy or trying to be a savior... PS a swift kick to the bollocks usually works just fine. PPS I have been doing this for years, and I dont jump to fight unless im cornered or working and breaking one up.
  16. OK the way I see it is that 1 soul is better than 10. but If im already going on the track of ten and they arent trapped or stuck im staying on course following the old big rig rule of dont deviate or your at fault. If the ten get hit and all die its their fault for standing there looking at a runaway train going "hyuck hyuck, look at da purty lights down der cleatus..." I mean come on, saving one smart person thats trapped is worth killing 100 idiots... All in all the old attache is true... YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID; STUPID WILL FIX ITSELF...
  17. Thank you for your input so far. The only real reason that Im not "comfortable" with HTML is I havent used it in probably 8yrs... Im looking for a new way to do it rather than type out all the clunky HTML coding I used to have to spend hours on fixing and getting the way I wanted. I will take a look thru php and see if its any better. Cheers and please any firther input is greatly appreciated.
  18. So this may sound like a stupid question (although theres nowhere I'd rather ask it) but bear with me. Ive only ever used HTML coding and that was awhile ago in school. Im looking to design a website for myself, but HTML was a pain, and I cant do it anymore. any suggestions? Anyone care to point me in the right direction and help me as needed?
  19. its funny... I was just strolling along and this is still here... I guess Buff isnt a nazi, or autocratic, power abusing, kitten smashing, opinioon hating baby chomper like allfanged accused him of... hmmm, funny how that works lol Keep up th good work Buff
  20. uhmmm, I think its pretty obvious, but I play the Great Highland Bagpipes... lol... I think Im the only one on the Trap... YAY ME!
  21. mostly correct and I appreciate your imput, however; regarding the use, sound yes, portability ok, but also because it stirred the blood... the tunes chosen would be ones of the clan or regional favourites for the occasion. There are a total of 9 notes, Yes limited but the variance between them can be adjusted to acheive almost any effect by tuning, embelishments and combinations of notes (timing and scalic). As for the "One Drone" theory you have proposed. there are 3 on each set of Great Highland Bagpipes; 2 tenor and a Bass, they are however tuned for a smooth humming sound adding to the amplification of sound and complimenting the actual notes. THe total sound is affected by so many variants that it can act as a signature for bands, or solo competitors. As for key, very limited only due to what most bands or solo competitors taste is. mostly A sometimes E (best of my knowledge but im not a real big music theory kinda guy). they were actually used in every war where the instrument was, as previously stated, to fire up the troops (compounded with the drums) as a battle call/call to arms. country bagpipes would be cool, if the only time Ive every heard it wasnt Amazing Grace etc lol. Actually as for modern Rock (and classic) there are many options/examples. Dropkick Murphy's are a Boston Punk band that has been doing it for 11 yra or so. as well as personal friends of mine, the Mudmen (harder rock/metal). As for AC/DC, Bon Scott was a HUGE fan; so much so that he learned to play them and actually implemented it in "Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock & Roll)" . As for what I can play, I am able to play DKM/Mudmen stuff, Thunderstruck is quite popular (has even been used in competition by world class pipe bands) and a buddy of mine transposed "Last Kiss" into a huge Pipe Rock anthem... a personal favourite of mine to play when just screwing around is Crazy Train by Ozzy... true story lol kinda easy.
  22. exactly. I mean if an institutional company (one that the economy needs for jobs etc) needs a bailout, they should get it. HOWEVER... those that benefit most from it should make more sacrifice for that benefit. The companies only look out for those in the best possible position with the company, with their high salaries and cushy perks (which should be taken away in times of crisis)
  23. I just like this debate. Ive had pastors of churches tell me that I can do my job as a piper, when hired for a wedding, because the Bagpipes are an instrument of war, but according to the church, any instrument that gives praise or glory to god is able to be played IN the church.I would like to know what everyone else thinks, and break down any preconceptions that may be out there about this topic.
  24. WOW! Bush makes money for his friends by taking it from the people and were supposed to give him a cookie? Stocks and gas went up because of his ludicrous thought that the USA could fight not 1, BUT 2 WARS, at the same time... War is by far the most well known source of income for companies of a select nature (Oil & Gas, Tech, Weapons, Ammo, Trade etc) and war also gives the people something to focus on, distracting them from the incompetence of their government. Lets Face It: Electing hime once was a fix and a mistake, but the second time falls on ignorance and stupidity. Bush should have been impeached, Cheney shouldve been impeached and Obama is the best thing to happen to the US since Clinton (Bubba AND Hilary) but hey, you impeached Bill after he fixed the economy, just because he may have, or may not have, "had sexual relations with that woman". Thank you and please crawl back under whatever anti democratic, Pro Bush Warmongering rock you crawled out from. CHEERS!
  25. Article Location: US to order paycuts for executives OK, so Barack has taken a HUGE step in starting to address the corruption in the American system, or is this just a ploy cover something else up? Im still not sure what to make of Obama right now. He wins the Nobel Peace Prize for what? he has done nothing that has really changed anything as of yet, but "Hey! lets give him the most prestigious humanitarian award around..." Im glad that he is ordering these cuts, it shows that finally someone, with the ability to do something about it, has noticed how stupid bailing out companies with FAT salaries is. I would like to know what everyone else thinks as Obama seems to be on the right track with this, and if he keeps it up he will surpass Clinton and JFK in the popularity/charisma department.
