Redirecting Or Forwarding Subdomain To Domain just a thought
BuffaloHelp replied to PmH's topic in Web Hosting Support
The best way to do it, in my opinion, is to add-on your domain to your hosting account. This creates a separate FOLDER of your choice under your public_html. And have this index.php file with header() line under your sub-domain (in this case public_html): <?PHP header('Location: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/;This will act as forwarding all trafic that goes to your sub-domain to designated location (in this case to your domain name). OR, you can use FORWARDING option under cPanel to redirect from one place to another, i.e. your sub-domain to your top domain. But the key is to add-on your domain to your hosting account to separate the location of your files. -
D2 Shoutbox..how To Make It Appear In Index
BuffaloHelp replied to axs's topic in Web Hosting Support
First make sure the shoutbox you installed is for your forum version.Secondly, the instruction to how to install for your forum is clearly stated and also provided by Dean's forum. But to be simply explained, to make it appear in your forum is all in the skin template. Perhaps you didn't upload, update or recached the forum skin. And if you have multiple skin or not the default skin, you must update for each skin you have for your forum.Try it again and come back to this topic. I'll leave it open. When all steps were correctly taken for installation, the shoutbox should appear without clicking on anything. Again, check the skin template modification -

Tutorial Conversion(bbcode To Html) GFX Crew Only
BuffaloHelp replied to Saint_Michael's topic in General Discussion
If this is an attempt to show IMG tags as part of GFXTrap.com RSS feed, in the past I've asked all GFX Crew to view my RSS test page. As I recall no one liked RSS feed showing with images due to possible slow load. But if this is what you want this time, the script can be written again. Simply I can create another id tag from Xisto forum just for Tutorial section. And use RSS to HTML covert script and it will show the forum posts exatly how it appears but it will be in a webpage format. Wouldn't that be eaiser than trying to copy over all Tutorials and convert them to HTML friendly? Test script http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ This page may seem to be loading very slow is because it includes all Graphics sections. Once we isolate just to Tutorial section I do not see any problem. -
Seeking A New Domain must be cheap and accept paypal
BuffaloHelp replied to True2Earn's topic in General Discussion
Check out Xisto - Web Hosting Domain for $2.15 .info or $1.80 .org domain names. Contact them to see if they'll accept PayPal. The Xisto - Web Hosting main service accepts PayPal and I'm hoping Domains.ComputingHost will too. 1and1.com is offering .info name free for 1 year. But be aware that currently, after the 1 year expiration, you'll be charged at $14.99 per year for the domain name. And as far as I know, they won't let you transfer the domain easily to another registrar service. -
I understand your frustration but please note that it is not Xisto - Web Hosting but it's just your account. The Xisto - Web Hosting servers indicates all servers are at green status. If it's your account that is in question, in this case, please contact Helpdesk at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Just out of curiosity, you are registered with 1&1 for your domain. Are you planning or made contact with them about automatic renewal or transfer?Xisto - Web Hosting servers are all green and up and running. Other sites hosted with Xisto - Web Hosting are fully operational. And the nameserver IP are correctly working. Your whois information all looks good. At this time, with given so little information of your status, I would have to say check with your domain registrar and see if you can obtain more detail about your domain name status. And we'll go from there.

You should be studying at school. That's why your school placed block of web access to certain sites. The issue is resolved with domain prapagation. Your website is up and running. Remember to use proper and specific name for your topic title and do not start off with words like, "help!...".Topic is resolved and closed. If you are the topic starter PM moderator to add/edit.

Banner Request by Klass for www.ipbgaming.com
BuffaloHelp replied to Klass's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
As requested, here is the PSD file of my attempt. You will notice that I kept the original banner as part of bottom layer as a reference.I also made a fresh layer of just the background color once I noticed that it wasn't a solid color. This, hopefully, comes in handy when you want to change the text but still look seamless with the forum skin. -
Request denied because you do not meet the criteria set on the pinned topic. Review and reapply when you are ready.

Trap17 Link Exchange Script Introduced
BuffaloHelp replied to OpaQue's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
Try it again, dooga. I just added Xisto and it worked just fine. Here's a thought: if you have robots.txt that disallows a crawler to visit a directory, but you assigned reciprocal page within that directory you need to change your reciprocal page to place that is not blocked for crawlers. -
Trap17 Link Exchange Script Introduced
BuffaloHelp replied to OpaQue's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
For example, you placed following backlink to Xisto in your index.html page <a href="http://forums.xisto.com/ Hosting</a> , the text line for URL would be your domain, i.e. yourpage.com and RECIPROCAL URL would be yourpage/index.html I'm not sure if this advice would be true but if you have other Xisto links in that page, try making backlink to Xisto the first one. When I was registering for GFXTrap.com, I had to try few times until I made sure that http://forums.xisto.com/ was the first link before http://forums.xisto.com/ showed up. I haven't had the chance to study the link exchange script but perhaps the crawler sees the first keyword "Xisto" and if it's any different, it rejects it. -

Banner Request by Klass for www.ipbgaming.com
BuffaloHelp replied to Klass's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I tried to match the font exactly as it was shown in the sample image. Instead of the letter V (I'm assuming for InVison) I used the universal "power" button logo as the marking for this banner. The letters I, P, B were used separately and then pushed together to give some distinct look, yet just enough to tell the middle letter is P by not totally merging them. Otherwise it just looked IAB because of missing curves on P. I have the PSD file so if you want to modify it, I'll upload it here. Initially I wanted to use Atari's joystick as a symbol but given the working area, it was too small to work and easily to be recognized. So I turned to the power symbol instead. -

Music files and video files are so large in size that you will naturally run out of your bandwidth limit quickly. Either you will need to reposition your hosting files or move to Xisto - Web Hosting.com for even larger bandwidth usage limit. We currently have only two plans for free web hosting and the plans are fixed as of this moment. No trade ins for an exchange for something else.Perhaps you could look into music or video file hosting places to lighten the load on your Xisto bandwidth.

You're using the OLD IP address of Xisto. We moved our sever to dedicated hosting computer. The new IP is 64.69.46.210 and use cPanel or 2083 as the port. Please read the Alerts and Notices section for updated news. This server change was effective at the beginning of this year.

Try once again. I can log into your cPanel without an issue. When a security message window pops up, be sure to click YES to the selection and enter your cPanel username and password.
