A real sportsman shouldn't do such things...In sports even if you are good, you face bad times...A sportsman should have the courage to to face defeats, even if he deserved to win the game he lostOf course Olympics is a very big thing, and losing there might give disappointment far beyond our imagination....but still i believe throwing the medal wasn't any way of showing it...if he really thinks he deserved the gold medal..he should have shown that in the game and not by crying after the game...and winning the bronze is a very prestigious position...may be he wasn't even worth the bronze medal...not because of his game, but because of the attitude he has shown...there are great players who exit very early from the Olympics... much before they deserve...If they all start doing such things...i wonder what will happen to olympics...i wont be surprised if they ban him..a really stupid act ...

That depends how you are distributing the internet connection on the network...If it is going via your PC then you need to download a software that limits bandwidth .... here i use CCproxy to give internet connection to my friends...it allows me to limiit the bandwidth,limit the max number of connections,block websites (of specific users) and a lot more stuff..... If you are using a switch....then i don't think you can do much...you need to have some PC act as a server for the internet connection which can manage internet speeds of other PCs on the network..... There is one thing you can do....connect the direct connection wire to your PC , download the software CCproxy and make your computer a proxy server then you can do all the stuff you want

I have been using LAN surfer and Network scanner in Windows, These software's are used to scan the LAN over a given range of IP addresses and then display the folders shared by each computer available on LAN in the specified range... now i have switched to Linux... Can you tell me any GUI software which would do this task in Linux ubuntu 7.04. I tried nmap but i did not find it that useful...i think it does only port scanning and stuff but does not display the files shared... but i am not sure..tell me if it can be used and how... I also installed smbclient, but i didn't try it as it was not GUI... Please tell me any GUI softwares which would do it.........

I don't really think there is much difference between the two in processing normal jobs (or at least i can't see anything as such), but as far as gaming is concerned,(it is one of the few fields where there processing power can be compared), i think AMD is better than Intel...i have seen it myself... i stay in a hostel and we all have our own PCs...most of us do not use graphics cards, and we all have 1Gb of ram..so now it comes to the processor and of course the motherboard graphics chipset. I have seen that AMD PCs run games better than Intel one's. (almost the same configuration except the processors) NFS most wanted was run by most of the AMD PCs satisfactorily...but intel one's failed to load it..even at lowest graphics config... even FIFA08 is run better by AMD PCs. but the credit may also go to the asus motherboard in AMD PCs used here, which has NVIDIA graphics controller while the Intel PCs have their own integrated intel graphics controller...but anyways i am an AMD fan....

having a knowledge of HTML is always better while making web pages.....but its not enough...i mean you can create a small webpage just by coding HTML..but why bother so much when you can use softwares to create good websites in no time.i myself use dreamweaver...i find it good to use..you can also find free softwares which will do the job ...To make the website, just download the template you like...you will get a whole lot of free templates online....you can also make one yourself using dreamweaver....Once you get the template...you just need to edit it...write what you wish to and link your images.....It gives you an option for giving the links of images...so you need to upload them on your webspace...and give the link....you can also change the dimensions of the tables and boxes...It allows you to change the CSS of the page without knowing anything about CSS...once the web page is made...you just need to upload it...upload other web pages and link them....and there you have your basic website...Then slowly go on adding extra features to your website....you can also use a database...which i doubt is not that easy...lBut anyways Good luck...

Photoshop can be used for designing banners...If you have it , then use it.... well...if you don't, you can use banner maker pro....i have its v7.0.1....it is really easy and fast to use... once you start using it ....everything becomes obvious....you won't need any tutorial or anyone's help... you can also use freeGimp...i think its open source and available for free....i haven't used it much...but i think it provides you more features than banner maker pro.

here is how you can enable it using group policy...start --> run type Gpedit.msc, go to computer configuration , administrative templates , system there search for "turn off autoplay".if you want to enable Autoplay...Disable it.don't let it be "Not configured".I guess this should work...

hey...by SC2 i think you mean splinter cell 2. well whatever it be ...it largely depends on the amount you are ready to spend....I have 8400 GS on my PC...its not really an expensive graphics card... i ran splinter cell 2 on my PC....and it gave satisfactory performance if not excellent.....

hey friends help me out..... i wasn't active on Xisto for nearly two months ..... and i don't know how much negative my credits went.... but now i am active again.... i thought my account would be deleted... but it wasn't...i was glad to have logged in.. My website link was working...i could see the Cpanel page.. i thought it was because my account was suspended. My credits were 0...they were not negative as expected. i have increased them to 20 now....but still i am not able to access my Cpanel account. obviously my hosting account is suspended...now how do i make it work again... i don't think my hosting account is deleted...because then my website link would not have been working.... but i am not able to log into Cpanel. My password is not working ..and i am sure i haven't forgotten it ...... this is my website link http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. please tell me if my hosting account has been deleted.

The damage has already been done...Google is everywhere now .....There is nothing yahoo and Microsoft can do to create a Dominant search engine.....they cant even get close..... Most of the users don't even know what a search engine is....they just know Google is used to search anything over the internet....i don't think it will do anything appreciable to Google's present status....lets see what Microsoft has planned to do...

Just type the IP address / index page or the Index page you have used i think you have not configured the httpd.conf file properly...because there should not be any permission error on LAN... Check your windows firewall... because i think that is the only thing stopping anyone from accessing your computer... if you are using a router to connect to the LAN which has a built in firewall then you need to configure it...if you are using switches or hubs then just the OS firewall is between you and the LAN users

Thanx a lot for ur replyi am experimenting with it, there wont be more than 10-15 people on this website.. as i told u it is just to illustrate how the website works .....it wont take much space .Secondly, I wish to learn web programming ...and now i have a reason to learn it .....no matter if its PHP or Mysql or any other database programming...i have a lot of time to do it...so just tell me.....and please let me know if Xisto can run such a project..... because i don't have account at any other host..and i don't wish to spend much money on it...

A little bit of editing we can do.....we can change the "start" tab and "click here to begin" which pops out when the cursor is taken over it .....there is a software called Resource hacker which can be used for such small editing work. .there are a lot other things we can do with this software....like changing the general tab of the system properties window (inside control panel) . There we can change it to show some different configuration of our system...eg. we can change 2Ghz to 3Ghz and a lot more....

just a bit of tweaking with the OS ...its of no use really...

sorry...i wasn't here for a couple of months....now i m backi can just hope that you read this.... so you have an internal lan card and you want an extra one i.e external. you need to buy one...here in india it will cost you around Rs 200-250 then just install it into your PCI slots , install the drivers and then its ready for use. no big deal about it.......

hey friends... I wish to create a small social networking site (as a part of my college project), i want to create a site where people can log in , have their accounts ,send messages to friends and a few more things if possible...basically i want to illustrate database management... It won't have many people logged in... just a few to illustrate how it works... ie how the database works now let me be clear about what i know and what i don't. i can create web pages and use java script...and i know that's not enough.....and that's not even close. and i can program well in other languages like C\C++,visual basic...well i don't know if its of any use really but i have enough time and i can learn new things n languages if needed for the project. I want to know 3 things : 1> what all services are needed for such a site running databases and a lot more... 2> Languages and other things that i need to learn. 3> Most importantly,can Xisto run a website like this or i need to find some other host... I had got free space on Xisto months ago....but i haven't used it much as yet....as i didnt feel the need to do so. but now i have a good reason to use it if i can. again...i am just doing it for illustration purposes..it wont take much space and bandwidth.. please reply soon as i need to submit the idea at the earliest.

i started using Linux just to learn something new....as i had heard from many guys about it....I just wanted to know what's such a big deal about Linux....my friends always thought it was some great hacker thing to have Linux I also thought it was a good way to stay away from my gaming ...as i played a lot of CS and fifa.but when i learned installing it and started using it , i realized how different it was from windows,and in some way,whether it be its free softwares(open source) or how it runs most of the hardware without drivers ,and a lot of other features like openGL and all that has come recently..i feel it is better than windows.... unfortunately i could not keep it as i started running a internet proxy server which worked better in XP (at least i thought so)...but i recommend people to try linux at least once and not at least rule it out just because you think running it is some great tech stuff or hacker thing...because once you know how to do it ,its easy and really interesting...

i have managed to create a virtual drive ......easy procedure....but i have a problem...i am not able to rename the drivei want to rename it as "downloads"...but it shows the name of the drive where the folder of the virtual drive exists...The folder was present in games drive...and i have created a virtual drive with the folder. The problem is ..the name of the new virtual drive is also "Games"...even if i have renamed it many times to something else..........
