Thanks for the info. Even though I do use Firefox and Google quite etensively, I think that I will just go to the google site instead of using the toolbar. I never really liked it, but for those that find it useful, go ahead and get it now!

Hmm, I went to the microsoft site with the link provided and looked at the interactive demo. I must say that it looks pretty impressive.

The current game that is out on the market does not support online play, but I did hear of a version that may come out later this year that will have online play built in to it. Even though there is no online capability within the game, that doesn't mean you can't play online. There is a program called Xlink Kai. By using this program, you can play almost any game out there that doesn't have online support initially. I'm not sure, but I think that you have to use a wirless network to use this (I may be wrong). Good luck!

Argh, Choose Please.. between 4 possible layouts -_-
ameribass replied to HmmZ's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I would say that layout 1 and 2 are the best of the bunch. I like layout one better because of the color selection, but that's just one man't opinion. I think that if you merged layouts one and two, you would have yourself a winner. Good luck! -
Hmm, well I would recommend Intel P4 with Hyper-Threading. There are so many different types of chips out there, but remember, the expensive ones don't always get the most bang for the buck. As for the motherboards, I have been using ASUS for a while and am very satisfied. Since you want to get into the whole music thing, get a good sound card, but not the most expensive ones, since they tend to have many features that you will never use. Make sure that you have good audio connections on your sound card so when you are recording you will get the best sound quality possible. One tip, don't get a motherboard with an integrated video card; usually they suck and disabling them can sometimes be a problem. So, yes, I do recommend building a custom pc built to your specifications and needs. It's always easy to go back and upgrade your pc in the future and not worry about it being incompatible or voiding your warranty. Anyways, good luck with getting a new pc and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Hmm, I don't usually have that many things running at one time as my computer is pretty fast so it can load programs quickly. Maybe what you need to do is create some shortcuts so that way you don't need to keep all those programs running that are eating up your RAM. I usually have anywhere between 1-4 programs running. Interesting topic, by the way.

Yeah, I agree that having a computer in your room gives you so many advantages. But I think that you start changing your mind once you start getting older. Anyway, all of those reasons that you had given are very good.

Hey. I don't have the fourth gen iPod but I do have the third and the same applies for this ipod too. Before iTunes 4.9 came out, the version the my ipod was at was 2.3. After iTunes 4.9 was released, the apple website claimed that a new firmware update was available to download and so I did. After installing it, I did not notice any changes and the firmware is still version 2.3. I don't know, maybe there are some minor changes, but I think that it's just there to make it seem like apple is doing something.

All I have to say to this is that this sounds like a pyramid scheme, and pyramid schemes are illegal. I haven't visited the site so I can't whether it works or not. -
Is This Illegal? Music and Internet
ameribass replied to fsastraps's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Something that might help: According to the Digital Millenium Act, it is legal to lend or borrow your collection of music as long as you originally bought the music and posses the original copy. It is also legal to burn copies of your digital media as backups (or "backups" as I like to call them). This, of course, only applies to citizens within the United States of America. Good luck with your site! -
I do agree that these abbreviations are used excessively to some extent, but they do sometimes help cut down the time required when typing. I only use some of those abbreviations when I am chatting with my friends via instant messaging. But only some of them. I do understand where you are coming from about how it seems like teens only use these words, but being a teenager myself, I know for a fact that it's not really how it seems. We often joke about the stupidity of these abbreviations, but that doesn't neccesarily reflect on the level of intelect that we are at.(Some of the abbreviations don't even save that much space, ex: l8tr = later. One letter, wow.)

This Is How I'm Gonna Start To Make Money by web designing
ameribass replied to [cilver]'s topic in Business Forum
I, too, wish you the best of luck in designing your graphics along with your new site to help show them off. I agree with you, the prices for some of the templates out there are ridiculous! At first, you should probably expect to not make many sales, but after a few customers buy your product, you should start making more and more money. Make sure to treat your first customers with the highest of respect and make sure that they are more than satisfied. They will be the ones that will help spread the word about your site and ultimately make you some more money. Another key aspect is advertising; make sure that you advertise in smart locations. Advertise your site on websites that are relevant to graphic design. You might want to try to write up a tutorial about a design and then include a link to your site. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck and tell us how you do!AmeriBass -

Verizon Phone Book Transfer changing phones...
ameribass replied to DeathLock's topic in Mobile Phones
From what I know, Verizon does not have sim cards as it is primarily not GSM and uses CDMA. I don't think that the RAZR can work with Verizon Wireless, but there might be some kind of work-around that I might not be aware of. -
Yes, I, too, am excited about the upcoming release of Microsoft's latest and greatest operating system. It will be interesting to see whether or not they will succeed in updating their out-dated operating system. I heard about all of the features, but what I did not hear about is the possible ability of Longhorn being able to play Xbox 360 games. That's really cool! Thanks for the information.

The game sounds interesting. As you can tell, I don't have it, but I was thinking of getting it. I can still remember back when I had Microsoft Flight Simulator 95; it's funny to go back and see what graphics we used to have and how we thought that they were amazing.

Hmm, while I wouldn't decide to make the decision that Microsoft has made, I don't think that what they did really surprises me that much. They know that Mozilla Firefox dominates Internet Explorer and are trying to solve the problem by running away from it (not a very smart thing to do). It's pretty stupid of them to limit how many people will look at their site, therefore they are ultimately losing possible customers and clients. Oh well, let Microsoft shoot themselves in the foot. I am not trying to say that just because they made some parts of their site off-limits to users of other browsers other than Internet Explorer, but this isn't the first and last time that they will do something like this. What Microsoft should be focusing on instead is trying to omprove and restore the image of their outdated and unsecure web-browser. Will they manage to do that with Internet Explorer 7, or will it be just another lame attempt by Microsoft at trying to "update" their software. Only time will tell.AmeriBass

Thanks for the very nice tutorial! And just for those who don't have photoshop, there is also a font of there that I know of that lets you type in barcode!AmeriBass

Internet Explorer 7 reviews of IE 7 and its Betas
ameribass replied to haron's topic in The Internet
It is nice to hear that Microsoft is trying to show efforts in making their browser better, but even if it were to be much better, everyone will still have the same old image of Internet Explorer as before, meaning that the average person won't care about it and not bother downloading and upgrading to the newer version. I think that the only chance that Microsoft has of resurrecting the glory days of Internet Explorer is with the release of Microsoft's new operating system, Longhorn. Then, people will have no choice but to try out the new browser as it will be the only one available at the time. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see where Microsoft goes with this.AmeriBass -
Is This What Longhorn Will Look Like ?
ameribass replied to john_meikle's topic in Operating Systems
Cool, but unfortunately, that isn't exactly what Longhorn is going to look like. The colors and the pretty much the whole gui will look slightly different. Also, from what I've heard, Microsoft has decided to abandon the side bar feature; they claim that there weren't enough features that it provided so they decided to get rid of it. Anyway, this is just what is going around the web as of right now. Microsoft still has enough time to change a lot of things as there is still a lot of time between today and the release of Longhorn. Anyway, good find!AmeriBass -
Trap17 Forum Board Version Upgraded!
ameribass replied to OpaQue's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
It's nice to hear that improvements are taking place! I definately noticed an increase in load times. Another thing that I noticed is that after posting a message and hitting the back button all the way back to the forums home page, the amount of credits that you have are automatically updated; there is no longer a need to hit the refresh button. Great job on the site you guys! Keep up the excellent work!AmeriBass
