This might be the best way to implement an inventory system. You can also make a friend system this way. But for inventory, you should have a table for users and a table for items (by ID). Then you create a new table named inventory or something, with an ID column, then USERID (foreign to the userid column in user table) and itemid (foreign to the itemid column in the item table). Then if you want to retrieve the inventory for user 1515, you just query the table items like this: phpmysql_query("SELECT * FROM items WHERE userid=1515");

I sometimes program using Visual Basic and the file often doesn't run at college. This is because you need to have the framework installed if you're trying to run the app, installing visual studio will install the framework, but you don't get that by default. By using windows update you can get the .NET frameworks, 3.5 is the one for VS 2008.. maybe that's the reason you get the error, it's obvious that is file missing or libraries, so maybe installing the framework will help.

Hi. 2 months ago I bought my first LCD screen, went from a 17" CRT to a 20" LCD widescreen and I was amazed by the beauty of the image/monitor. It arrived with no dead pixels, nor stuck pixels, so everything was literally perfect, except for the brightness, which was little to bright for my taste, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with the nvidia control panel. So yesterday I was playing a PC game, and then I noticed some really small spots on the screen, so I googled for a pixel checker/fixer software. I found this one that turns your whole screen to a color of your choosing. So I tried white, black, bright red, blue and yellow backgrounds. These were the results: 1. Black background: you can't see anything weird, no "stuck pixel" or anything. 2. White background: the pixel turns bright green but you can barely see it, you won't see it unless you look for it. 3. Red background: the pixel turns black, like if it was dead. 4. Blue background: pixel turns black again, looks dead. 5. Yellow background: pixel turns green, just like with the white background. So, is it dead or just stuck? Help me I'm new to the LCD world There were 2 other weird pixels but I managed to fix them with a video that changes background colors really fast. my monitor is this one

But I must say, I do NOT believe in God as they try to describe it.Some say he's the Creator of all things, he brings miracles and hope to the people.Let me tell you what I think.I recently watched this movie "The Secret", that is (obviously) about a secret, that was well hidden from regular people, and only important people we know nowadays have been linked somehow to the knowledge of that secret. Basically the secret is about "thinking" positive stuff, always positive, and you will get good stuff. For example, if you want a car, you should always think of the car, but not just that, also thinking that you WILL OWN it, or that you actually own it, and those thoughts are sent to the universe and they come back as positive stuff.At first I was skeptical about that idea, but now that I think of it, it all now makes sense. Religion and the secret. What is religion all about? at least I can tell from a Christian Point of view (I was one). They always make you think positively, that a God up there is watching over you, and that you should pray to him and never commit sins and whatever. All that stuff leads to thinking positively, which would translate (according to "the secret") into good stuff sent from the universe. So to sum it up, religions are there to make you use "the secret" without actually being aware of it.I will say this once more, I do not believe in God as they portray it, like the father of Jesus or something, the "Creator" or anything of that sort. I don't believe that "God" (image of a man) created earth and life as we know it. I, as a scientist man, believe in actual facts, like evolution. I also believe in the Big Bang Theory, which tells that a huge explosion took place in the universe that created planets and stuff. If you want to call that energy that caused the big bang "god" then OK, that might be your God, but not a "man" or something that is in the sky or something.I also don't believe in church. Probably because in most christian religions (that I know of), they ask you for money and most of the time you don't know where that money is going to. Yeah because, being a "Father", is a job like any other, and you need to receive your monthly payment. I get it.But there's this one thing I must say about religion, part good part very wrong. For example, if it wasn't because of religion, stealing/killing or other sins will be OK, or at least a killer or a thief will not feel bad when performing such acts, because they do feel bad when they think of God after what they did. So if it wasn't for religion, they wouldn't feel bad at all. But that same thing is also very very wrong. Why? Because, Religion is what have caused War in the World. While Religion tells you about peace, and brotherhood, love, they together do the exact opposite. One Religion doesn't come along too good with other religions, and if there weren't any, I think terrorism wouldn't exist.And also for me, that "God or Devil" stuff is just crazy. I mean, if a miracle happens, they all say "thank god!", but if something happens they inmediately blame the devil. There is where balance takes place. I guess you all are familiar with the ying yang, good/bad, black/white, etc etc. Not everything that happens in the world is good, because there are bad things too that religion couldn't explain, so they also created a devil figure, to blame for all the things that go wrong. And it's logical, because people always need someone to ask favors to, like God, and someone to blame for bad things that happen, like the Devil. Now, imagine that you are in a dark alley, and suddenly you see a man with a gun or weapon running towards you. What would you do? I'll tell you what I would do; pray to God. And I don't believe in God! but why? because that's the good thing about religion, you can always have someone inside you to ask for favors or to simply talk to. You have 'God' there with you, if it wasn't for God, then what else could I have done to protect myself? I'm not saying that by praying to God that man would have just walked by (might happen), but at least praying to God in such situation gives you HOPE, and you are the one who choose to have faith in God or not. I choose not, but I'll pray to God anyways if something bad is about to happen, just because we, people, need someone to ask for help.So I'm sorry if I'm hurting anyone's feeling, it's just my opinion. I do respect those who choose to be religious or to believe in God. Believing in God is a good thing, you'll probably be happier than me, but now that I understand things, now that I see the big picture, I can be happy knowing that God does not exist, for me. I'll say this once more, Religion is a good thing, believing in god is a good thing, and everyone should believe in God, because the day we choose not to, that will be the end of life.

don't know if you figured this out already but...you installed vista on primary drive, and you then installed XP on the same drive, though different partitions, that caused windows XP to overwrite boot instructions on the hard drive to only recognize XP. After you changed to boot the other partition (vista) there was no boot info hence the error you get at POST, because, BIOS doesn't know where windows is.You should format your drive and install only one of the SO, then check on the internet for intructions for dual boot (sorry I don't know how to achieve this with XP and vista).You could also boot with a linux live cd and install grub, though I don't know how to make it work with 2 windows installations.Hope it helps.

You must then get a job at one of the hacking companies (starting at the lowest levels), and just like uplink, you receive missions in your email inbox or you could browse the mission list from your company site, you could develop your character, instead of gaining levels, you go up on the hacking rank, or hacking abilities. Also, there would be that other moral rank, for instance, if you use to trace other hackers who recently compromised another company, you would gain bad reputation, but if you hack those big name corporations, you would gain good reputation. There could also be some neutral missions, for your own good. For example, hacking a bank (must be really, really difficult thing to do) but if you do, then you could get to keep the money you robbed and go up faster in rank levels.But other than hacking, you could buy a house, a car, and the graphics would be something like GTA IV, you play a guy (like niko or CJ) and you drive around the city, from your house to your work or whatever. You could get married with another player, and just a life and hacking simulation, and when you are at work, when you go to your PC you get a full screen interface like the one uplink had, hopefully improved

I don't think there's life after death, I believe that when you die, you're death and that's it. One lives the present, there's is (IMO) no such thing as a soul that will enter another body afterwards (reincarnation) or that you will go to hell or something, none of that seems to be real, for me.The fear of christianism about going to hell for being a bad person in your life, is just that. So that you live in fear and not commit crimes or tell lies or commit any other kind of sin. It's a nice story, if you're bad you are going to hell, so then we all have to be nice and we'll go to heaven.No I don't think that's true, but I'm thankful that more than 95% of the population on earth believes so, if not then it would be chaotic everybody killing themselves (more than they do now) and other serious stuff...

Hi, I'm trying to set up an addon domain, is it possible with my Xisto account?In case the answer is yes, I'll need some help from an admin or something. The thing is I try to create the addon domain but it always gives an error because the nameservers are supposedly not set to Xisto - Web Hosting's ones, but they were when I tried.Anyway, my main domain which is now in use does not have Xisto - Web Hosting's nameservers, I use dnspark as dns servers, and I just redirect mydomain.com to gamma server IP, and it works fine.I want an admin (if possible) to manually create an addon domain so I can point myseconddomain.com to gamma server IP and make it work (the server to recognize the domain and point to my account). That way I can handle email and subdomains to my liking as I do with mydomain.com.If not possible, then please I would like to hear some advise on the matter.Thank you.

i'd LOOOVE to time travel to the past or whatever. Though it may seem impossible now, who knows what will happen in the future.Maybe, and to explain WHY we haven't seen people from the future travelling back, maybe there is no such thing as an object or person travelling in time, but all mankind and all the universe travelling back (or forward like a loop, without us even noticing it) and that would explain a lot of misteries, like a déjà vu for example.maybe not, but who knows. Maybe people DID travel back in time but it was a total mess so they went back again to redo everything and learnt their lesson, so now we won't see someone from the future, or maybe we do and we don't know. It's not that they are going to spread out the word that they are from the future, and even if they do, would any of us believe him? Or would we just be thinking that the guy went crazy?

Something like that happens to me sometimes.I'm sleeping, but suddenly I kind of wake up but all my body is still sleep, is like I have my eyes open, I can see the room where I am at, but I can't move or speak, It's a weird feeling you even think you're dead or something, you want to start screaming like if there was something keeping your mouth shut and your arms/hands/legs tied up and you can't get out. The only thing you can do in that situation is try to go back to sleep. After some research, apparently there's a sleeping phase were your body disconnects from the movement section of the brain, because it's supposed that when you're sleeping you body will want to move around like crazy, just like your eyes does. So maybe I woke up at this phase, but in a strange way, not fully awake that's what I mean.And my dreams are all the time related to what happened in the day before, especially if something BIG happened, it just appears on my dream. Or if something is bothering me that is going to happen in the future, I'd dream about it too. Like for example, I'm getting my own car sometime next month and I'm so excited, so I dream about me driving a car almost every night.I want scientists to figure out what dreams are all about, for real. Not just psychologically, or at least a way to record the images from the brain as you're dreaming... that would be cool

Um, I have just downloaded RPGMaker and was wondering, how to make my castle actually not transparent? when I test run game it is transparent and I alk through it... How do I get inside it? Well, easy but not that easy. I'm assuming that by castle you mean that little castle you can put on your map, half the size of your character , anyway, for that to work, you must create the map for inside the castle first. Then, create an event (go to the event layer) and right click on your castle and select "new event". Now, look for the teleportation event, and choose your "inside castle" map and where you want your hero to appear. Now, go play again and see how your character enters the castle when you walk over it. About the transparency issue, I'm guessing you're talking about when you walk over the castle and you literally stand on it, well, easy. First, get rid of that castle, and go to the event layer. Right click on the part you want your castle to be at, and select "new event". At the left side you can choose a picture for your event, look for the castle image. Now, on the event screen, look for some options there that let you choose the event priority, like, "above" hero (you walk below it), "same level as hero" (you can't walk over it, this is the one you should choose), and "below hero" (the one by default). Sorry I can't give you exact info but I don't have the program right now. Hope it helps. 2. I made this realy cool rpg game and I saved it as project 1 and I cant find it in my computer files? what file is it in? am I stupid? well I'm not starting over! Haha, you're not stupid. If it is RPG maker XP then it should be in My Documents folder, under the RPGmaker XP folder, if not then check in the directory you installed the program, like program files\enterbrain\rpg maker.... there should be the projects folder.

though wine works fine for some games, for other it doesn't. I was able to play WoW but with less FPS than normal, but I have to say that I was really happy that at least it worked. I know that with some tweaking, it could run as smoothly as it does on windows. Although, there're some FUN linux games you should try, like XMOTO.. zomg that's a cool bike platformer or whatever it is, its too much fun and you can download new levels and skins and everything. I mean, it's not WoW, but it's really fun to play! There're also other games for linux, but I find this one really good and everyone should give it a try. apt-get install xmoto or if you're using ubuntu, try searching for it in the synaptic package manager.

yup, I know it's old, but it should be considered "fast pc" when it comes to flash animations and 2D applications... Here in Venezuela it's impossible to buy a new system, I just got my american visa application approved so in a few months I'll be going to the US to buy my new PC, then of course the problem would be gone. Darasen, you may have something there. I didn't know my video card didn't handle 2D graphics, is there a way to force 2D graphics (probably that's directdraw) to use the GPU instead of the CPU? I know that would definitely improve the FPS. And I guess it works different for ubuntu, since while using that OS I don't feel a performance drop. I said before maybe it was because of the sound card, now it makes more sense, since it's integrated so the CPU takes the load, and maybe processing audio+2D video can create that bottleneck issue (or something else), though I'm not sure it should be like that. Maybe it's just my processor getting old, but most likely there's a problem with the motherboard or the sound drivers, or the sound card itself. I just wanted to fix that issue, but soon I'll have my new PC, I even got the "22 WS monitor for it, just need to buy the case with all the stuff inside =) Thanks anyway for helping me.

So I have this problem, hopefully someone will help me out.This may sound weird, but my PC plays 3D games surprisingly fast (for an old P4 2.4GHz PC). And I mean games like call of duty 4, SC: double agent, rainbow six vegas, world of warcraft, etc etc. Of course I have 1 GB of RAM, win XP Pro, geforce 7600gs agp card (great v-card btw). I play COD4 like at medium settings for video, even some things in high settings, except for shadows which are off, and I get a pretty good amount of frames per second, really smooth gameplay.The problem is that when I run flash applications it kinda runs slow, slow FPS and stuff. Same thing happens with a lot of 2D applications, like OLD GAMES.. i mean really old games, DOS games to be precise. I don't know why this is happening, it should be the other way around...Anyway, I think maybe it has to do with the DX installation, directdraw? There's this game, Football Manager which is a football (soccer) simulation game which runs in 2D graphics, just texts and images and still I get low FPS...I have a laptop, same processor, ATI integrated video card, 512 RAM (32 shared), and flash applications run smoothly here. So the problem has to be my PC. It can't be the video card, since this one is new, and with the old one it happened the same. I'm guessing it has to do with drivers, not the video ones but another kind of drivers which are causing this performance drop.Why I say drivers? easy, because I also have an ubuntu installation and over there flash applications run smoothly like they should... so it's not the hardware, it's not the windows since it's the same one on laptop and this one have been formatted not long ago, so it has to do with drivers.The only thing different between laptop and desktop (other than video card) is the motherboard of couse, but both have integrated sound. My guess is that the sound driver is causing this, but my question is.. does anyone knows if sound has to do with 2D applications? Why can I run 3D applications so smoothly but 2D applications with such low FPS?While someone helps me in here, I'm gonna try to update my sound card drivers, or in case these are the latest ones, then I'll try installing old version on the same driver, hopefully that'll do it.Any other suggestion are deeply welcomed. maybe it is too late now, but this will probably help any other who has the same problem as you, and as I did before. You can use a php redirection, just create a file and name it index.php and place it in your main directory, with this code: <?phpheader( 'Location: http://http://ww38.yoursite.com/new_page.html&%2339; );?> But do not add any other type of code, for instance if you put an html tag before the code, it wouldn't work. So to keep it working, your safest bet is to simply remove all content from the page but the redirect code.

I took the first training mission and got a laughable time, so I tried again and did it in 21 secs, they recommended me "hardened"... so I did.It is hard, but not THAT hard. I do remember how hard it was the last part of the flashback, waiting for the helicopter that took ages, and lotsa enemies everywhere, I had to leave my friend behind and went to the back of a little house, or whatever that was. Then I could just kill people that were approaching my location, and survive long enough til the heli arrived.And of course, the last one (epilogue) was hard as hell.. it took me like 2 hours to beat that level, the funny thing is, you have to beat it in under 2 minutes or less, or you fail the mission. That was my favorite level! "weapon free"my pc sucks, but i still got nice graphics and very good FPS, my card is a 7600gs but it handled it very well.i would recommend this game to those who loved the first CoD but didn't so much part 2 and 3, cuz it was more of the same, but this time is different.. its modern warfare! very very good game imo

I believe 2 things:1. Scientists always say that in other planets there can be no life, just because the conditions are not like earth's. Now, we are what we are just because how earth is. We have oxygen, so we breath it. We have water, so we drink it. Now, are you telling me that scientists don't believe that there can be another form of life than the one we know? I mean, there should be aliens out there, OK let's be honest, there aren't other humans in our galaxy, but how can you think so inside the box when saying that there can't be no life anywhere because there is no oxygen or water?? They always look for water in mars, but what if Martians can't stand water? just because how they are, like, here on earth there are some elements that if we consume, we'd die instantly. I mean, maybe the same happens with aliens. There are aliens out there, they just don't live as we do, they use other elements to survive, whatever it is it doesn't matter.2. With that being said, I have to point out the fact that there are TONS of space around the universe, we are part of just one galaxy, while there are a lot of other galaxies, where there is a super star (sun) and is surrounded by planets, just like the milky way. Now, are you saying to me that it can't be possible that there's a planet with the same distance the earth shares with the sun, so that there could be oxygen, water and good temperature for life as we know it? I think that is possible, in fact, I think there are other humans out there, maybe way ahead of us or maybe behind us (technologically speaking), but the thing is, we can't just say that there aren't aliens, because we don't know that for sure, but yes we can say they exist because it's logical to think that way. Now, even if there aren't humans in other galaxies, at least there should be aliens who breath another element other than oxygen, and I hope you know what I mean.Remember that we exist the way we do because that's how earth is. It has oxygen, so humans breath oxygen. If alien planet had another element like xenon, radon, whatever, they would breath that to live, just think outside the box and you'll know what I mean. The thing is, we don't know a kind of life that needed something else than oxygen, that's why we haven't found aliens.
