Final Fantasy X Discussion - Warn if spoilers
ariolander replied to Kyle Perkins's topic in Computer Gaming
I spent +56 hours playing Final Fantasy X and I actually thought it was a damn good game until the plot revelation that everything I had done in the last 50+ hours wall all for naught and this game was really pointless. I can manage to overlook the fact the main character was homosexual, the plot was mediocre, and the gameplay was good at best. As a matter of fact before the twisted revelation about reality, sin, and how everything you have done for the last 50+ hours was pointless I thought it to be a damn decent game. Needless to say I was not happy. I chucked my game case and later my disk across the room and into the far wall and have yet to pick that game up again. The "Story Aspects" as one person had put it have done nothing but cause me more aggravation and irritation in BOTH the Final Fantasy X games. One of the things I disliked was that I completely set up for a Rikku relationship in FF X. Hell I gave Lulu more love than that Yuna c*** but that damn she is persistent. Why did they even give me choices in the dialogue when in the end no matter what I answered it does not affect the story? No matter how badly one treated Yuna or how much affection one showed to the other female cast Titus, whom I now am assuming is homosexual, always ends up with Yuna. If I wanted linear story lines I would watch a movie. Linear storylines are so 1990s. Then again story lines weren't even invented till 1995, 96. Well anyways that is beside the point. Don't give me multiple choice situations if in the end they mean nothing... Much like the whole game perhaps.I have come to the conclusion to hell with it. Screw Titus, screw FF X & screw that blasphemous Final Fantasy X-2. He can have that Yuna c0nt and I will keep the original Rikku for myself. I liked Rikku in Final Fantasy X I really did but now I find myself hating SquareEnix for what they have done to her. The bastards now dressed her up as a wh*** and rob her of her intelligence making her a complete airhead. That is really fscked and is something that short of a truly amazing FF XII (doubt it will happen) I can not forgive. At least give her a decent skirt, a bare minimum of clothes or half a brain. I mean you already took whatever she had of breasts why do you take her intelligence and clothes too?. Why do they insist on forcing Yuna onto me? As if that were not enough not only do they attempt to force Yuna onto me they continue to belittle poor Rikku. After Final Fantasy X & even mroeso in Final Fantasy X-2 I would like to say I have lost all faith in that once king of RPGs known as SquareEnix. All their games since the merger of the two RPG behemoths have been mediocre or passable at best. Maybe it is their association with Disney or maybe it is their agreement with EA SquareEnix is simply not that great anymore. With people like Nobuo Uematsu gone and Hironobu Sakaguchi up for a Xbox 2 game. SquareEnix's Final Fantasy series is now filled with gay character designs and lacks any real content or plot, it is all really so disappointing. For example look at even the upcoming FF XII. What kind of skirt is that?! She is like 15 year old. I dunno about you but my mom would slap me for something like that. Are they really so out of ideas they turned a already bad game with an actual ending (though I hated it) and attempted to make a blasphemous sex sells Charlie's Angels type sequel to it? I mean now even they are making stuff based on FF VII one of the greatest RPGs of all time and I pray to god that these upcoming Final Fantasys do not bastardize what it was based on because looking back to it I can remember it so fondly...I palyed Final Fantasy X and it disapointed me. I went into FF X-2 expecting nothing at all and still it managed to disappoint me. I now see that game is just as much if not more of an abomination as Crystal Chronicles. Looking at FF XII I am now preparing for an even worse game. No I think I can now flatly state that SquareEnix sucks... Sorry if this one is a bit long, and lacks structure its just that I go off on tangents when I get emotional... this is a very emotional matter for me especially after myself being the Squaresoft & Final Fantasy fanboy I once was... Recently google has been messign with their sponsored ads right... And I swear as of late they have been getting on my nerves because half the time the ad results they give me is totally off topic anf other times maybe three fourths of the first page of search results are sponsored links.Bleh... Well either way google is still ym search engine of choice.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Come to talk about this game
ariolander replied to iGuest's topic in Computer Gaming
I must agree simply the size of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas compared to that of Vice City and all the new features makes San Andreas the better game. They just added so much stuff in the new game I am sorry. As for characters I am a fan of Tommy Vercetti myself -
My favorite fighting series has to be the Guilty Gear one. Guilty Gear X-2 is arguably the single greatest 2D fighting game ever made. Most notable of the series is though it is 2D and uses sprite graphics the sprites are amazingly detailed, maybe 2-3 times more so than a Street Fighter one. The series is also known beyond its graphics for its awsome soudtrack (I actually have my Gulty Gear X-2 soundtrack playing as I type) and sheer speed and intensity of the gameplay. I believe in Electronic Gaming Monthly when they reviewed Guilty Gear X2 #Reloaded one of them stated that "9/10 gamers probably couldn't play the game at full speed". They are all awsome games tos ay the least. At $20 retail for Guilty Gear X-2 #Reloaded the X-box rerelease of the PS2 Guilty Gear X-2 + Xbox Live support there is no reason not to at least try the game.As for 3D fighters I would have to say I am a fan Dead or Alive myself... or rather I am a fan of the Dead or Alive girls to say the least :D

Neverwinter Nights NWN Online, modules, and expansion
ariolander replied to prs's topic in Computer Gaming
I loved the game... must ahve logged 100+ hours on the thing because now I am sick of it. I highly recomend the PC version and expansions. Do look into the mod comunity if you ahve PC because there are quite a bit of good stuff out there right now.Its good stuff. Totally rocked. -
the game is excelent. I just bought a new Force Feedback Pro to paly the game and frankly it is the single greatest racing game I have ever played. It is quite frustrating hwoever because the cars are so hard to drive. I guess I will get the hang of it eventually but really the lack fo traction on some of these tires is a real challenge. I have yet to get 1st place on a race sicne I bought it and the licence tests are a pain.maybe mroe practice will work but its really hard >_<;;... or I just suck but I refuse to believe THAT

Price is also a factor... I can make you a kick *bottom* game but sell it for $12,000 you think its worth buying?Well anyways with a $400 price tag on that puppy & a starter pack I don't think I will buy a PSP. I myself would much rather upgrade my computer to one of them 64 bit AMDs. I think I would use my computer more often and I don't like the idea of the laser because #1 sony's lasers have always had trouble and #2 that battery life is a b!tch even with litium ion batteries you only get 3-5 hours out of it.Yes it can produce better graphics but graphics do not = gameplay sad to say. Also note at the launch titles the game's graphics are INCONSISTANT. Some might be PS 2 lvl yes but most of what I have seena re not better than N64 type graphics. Also with that $50 price tag per game I think I would much rather get a console title which would generally ahve more content than portable titles (how portable it is with its short battery lif is indeed in question)I myself won't get a DS neither till they cna pump out some half decent titles... For now I will sue my Limited Classic Edition SP & wait for the next Game Boy handheld.

Electronic Arts: The Human Story White Collar Slave Drivers?
ariolander replied to Mastermund's topic in Computer Gaming
Myself I am thinking of never buying an EA developed (sports) game myself. I read much of that blog before particularly when they actually had some info in it in my Electronics Gaming Monthly magazine.Right now though EA is not doing very well relations wise because after that latest (semi-)exclusivity deals they have in their sports games it has not been taken very well. Especially for thsoe that were looking forward to a half decent $25 football game *cough cough* -
I first learned HTML about 3 years ago. My Stepdad was studying Computer Science at Devry at the time and looking through his stuff I found the book he used the semester before. I basically taught myself by following the tutorials inside of it. In the end I had made several basic websites and was well on my way to learning. From there I basically saved any site that I thought the layout looked neat and I would examine and extract the source code... Completely sef taught. my stepdad criticizes me for liking to hand code everything and making my sites so complex but I can't do it any other way. I have Frontpage & Dreamweaver at my disposal but in the end I always end up hand coding everything .If I liked it I tried to emulate it and eventuallys I combined it with the rest of the stuff and in the end... well its a huge mass of HTML and a website :DUnoriginal? Maybe but in the end it is me who hand coded it and its not like I am ripping someone else's website... completly... maybe

Spyware And Adware Removal What software do you use?
ariolander replied to kc8yff's topic in Computer Networks
I payed for it and SpySweeper is excelent software. It finds stuff that my AdAware, Spybot S&D, & Microsoft Antispyware misses. Rather than waiting for a computer to be infected when you freashly install or after a SpySweeper scan (trial version works) install Microsoft Antispyware along with SP1 & 2. I used to have to clean on of my co-workers computers every month because she somehow got a lot of spyware/adware. Since I gave her Microsoft Antispyware and turned its autoupdate on it has been suprisingly effective. But yea software I use to deal with spyware/adware include:Microsoft AntispywareSpySweeperSpybot S&D (immunization)Spy Blaster (immunization)and I used to be an advocate for AdAware before I found SpySweeper and microsoft released its Antispyware software in beta.
