You could always use an image hosting service like Yoxio. They don't provide much space but you could probably put 5-10 images at about 640x480.

Impossible? HA! It is possible, but probably more trouble than it is worth. Here is how I suggest you can do it. Firstly you need 2 hard drives. Secondly your motherboard must have a recent BIOS (about 1998 or newer) First when you install winXP make sure only 1 of your 2 hard drives is actually connected phisically inside your computer. Then install winXP normally. Second, disconnect your winXP hard drive inside your computer, then connect the hard drive you want DOS installed to. Install DOS normally. After you have installed both DOS and winXP on seperate drives you can connect both hard drives again inside your computer. Once this is done you have a sort of "virtual" dual boot. To boot to each OS you have to enter your BIOS as your computer starts up. This is usually done by pressing DEL on your keyboard as your BIOS info is displayed on th screen.(some systems are different look at your documentation that came with your computer) After you enter the BIOS, look for a menu called BOOT ORDER. The default is usually like this: FIRST DEVICE: Floppy SECOND DEVICE: CDROM THIRD DEVICE: C Drive Now if your BIOS is new enough you can change the third device to: D Drive. This will allow your computer to boot from the second hard drive in your computer. To boot from your other drive again, just go back to your BIOS and change the third device back. That is about it!

Well I am no nerd, and I don't look like one either. Unfortunately I don't know if I'm good with the ladies anymore. I have been in a long term relationship for 4 almost 5 years now and I pretty much avoid the good lookin ladies to prevent being castrated by my wife. She thinks I'm good with the ladies though!

Hello. I just visited your site and I must say its not bad! The layout is simple, the color scheme is nice, your content actually matches your site!(this is becoming rare!)Overall I have to say not bad at all! I even checked up on some of your statistics and they are accurate. The only thing I wonder is what draws people to your site. I think maybe if you added some entertainment or pictures of various areas of Alaska it may improve the number of visitors to your site.Nice though!

Hey Brock! Welcome to Xisto! As you may have noticed from snlildude's post, most of us here are pretty friendly. I only joined Xisto a week or two ago but I just keep finding myself here ALL the time.(almost)Snlildude seems to have alot of knowledge by what I have seen in his tutorials and other posts, so if you do need some help with your site, he is a good person to ask.Hope you like Xisto! PS- You gotta try the army system. It is soooooo fun!

Great tut snlildude! I tried it and all works well! I thought I might add something to this tut though. If you wanted to run a web server from your computer to serve your website to the internet with a web address not an IP, you could follow the next steps: 1) After you have installed the server as described by snlildude, go to DynDNS.org and sign up for a dynamic DNS account. 3) Log into your DynDNS account and on the left hand menu you should see a link to "Dynamic DNS" Click on it. Choose your domain name(something like: mywebsite.dyndns.org), input your IP address (to find your IP address in windows go to Start>Run> then type "ipconfig" or some ver. of windows "winipcfg" no quotes) then click Add Host. All Done! Now any time sombody types in the new web address you got, DynDNS.org will direct the request to your web server. You may need to update your IP address with them occasionally because even though you are using Dynamic DNS (means it detects your new IP every time you get a new one) sometimes manually updating your IP makes things update faster on the DynDNS site. Hope this will help some of you. And sorry snlildude for adding to your tut, I just think taking it this one step further might help some people.

Hey Phi! Welcome to Xisto! Hope you enjoy your stay!By the way the hosting here is great! I've paid for worse! Trap 17 has sooooo many features to their hosting packages so I think you came to the right place.

I don't think it destroyed your hard drive. You probably only need to re-partition it. If you don't know much about partitioning try getting a program like PartitionMagic. It also comes with an app called BootMagic which can help people to install dual boot systems.

2.4Ghz with 512 Ram should work quite well unless you have high traffic. (in which case Pro hosting is your best bet)I have used the setup I mentioned above myself on an old P2 400 with 128 Ram so your system should work great in comparison. If you want to have scripts and such installed though you need to install some sort of SQL server and PHP also. The more options you want the more technical things get. I would just get some free Cpanel hosting(Xisto is the best!) to check that stuff out before going all out on your own system.

Sorry I forgot to add a step! After you have your domain name you need to point your DNS to the dyndns.org(or which ever you choose) name servers. Which ever dynamic dns service you use will tell you what thier nameservers are. Name servers should have an address similar to ns1.dyndns.org or ns2.dyndns.org.Hope this all helps you.

First You should set up your Server software(I like Apache). After that is complete you need to get a domain name. You can get free domain names such as http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ or .cjb.net or just search online for free domain names. Make sure the free domain name you get allows you access to your DNS settings.Or even better buy a domain name. They are pretty cheap these days. You should be able to find a domain registrar for no more than $7-$10.After you have found your domain name and have your server set up you need to find a dynamic DNS service. I like http://dyn.com/dns/. Dynamic DNS is required because you may have to restart your server from time to time and your ISP will not always give you the same IP address every time you go online. Using a dynamic DNS service will update the DNS to the correct IP address if the address your ISP gives you ever changes. After that you should be good to go!

I think both Nike and Adidas are way over priced. I know for a fact that those shoes don't cost them $80-$100 to make, so why are they so expensive? Because they say Nike or Adidas on them? Not for me. I buy the $20-$30 shoes. They look just as good, last just as long, but cost half as much. Those companies may not be as big and powerful, but they make products that are just as good. So why waste the extra money?Just my opinion.

Who Wants To Start A Mmorpg? Ideas for a new MMORPG.
zippy77 replied to zippy77's topic in Computer Gaming
Alright I guess I need to get some help on this huh? Hey what is FSO 1.2? I might look into buying some kind of script or whatever if that is what that is. -
I have Photoshop CS it came bundled with my computer when I got it. I have used older versions a few years ago but CS seems to be different. I was never very good with Photoshop but I did use Paintshop Pro more successfully. I think Paintshop is good enough seeing as it is easier to use(for me) and you can use Photoshop plugins on it anyway.
