vyoma...please dont be soo hasty!!I looked at the page ..it wants to install a "download" manager onto your pc..then use that to download this guide..I would be very carefull downloading this!!! my bet its full of spyware! lol, maybe the guide is a way to make lots of money..by hijacking thier credit card details and using keyloggers via .exe files that users install on thier pcs

Hey guys,,I got a bit of a problem I dont know how to solve ;((Ofc if its going to stump me its going to be about MAC ;(( I have a freind with a broken IMAC..seems the screen is busted and ofc there isnt an external VGA connector on the IMAC to hook a new screen upto it ;((I need to get all the files of this thing and burn them to a DVD on my Windows 2000 pc..Ok i thought about FTP...but I cant see the screen to set it up ;((So I am going to have to open it and take the HD out and hook it up on a spare IDE on the Win2k pc..Heres where I know it will complicated (cos its a MAC l;((Windows will not read HFS disks..there is no support from MS or Apple ofc to help this problem.Only software I can see is 3rd party software...all you have pay for - Macdrive,OpenMac etc etc and they all seem to have great features on thier trial products like not being able to handle files over 1mb;((Does anyone know a FREE HFS driver plus some software to explore the drive?Thanks for your help!!Mark;)

I agree with Pyost..Ive tried pretty much all the CMS software in the Fantastico script and came to the same conclusion..Joomla is the best.So easy to setup and get going with it!!SO many extensions/modules/components to download and install on your site..Soo many places to get help on Joomla also...All round a great open source idea...and so easy to use for ohter ppl that add content to the site..

Ok did you make the site yourself? You could look for shopping cart modules these could be written in different languages from Java to Php.. Then you could just bolt on whats needed to the existing site.. Im playing with Joomla a lot at the moment which is a content management and page design tool. Joomla It has all manner of secure shopping cart modules free to use- I use one called virtuemart Its very easy to manage right out of the box..go take a look at the demos for it.. Ive got plans to use this module a lot in the next few pages I am making for clients.. Good luck with your carting

Ive seen php tools that can make a graph and pie chart etc from raw data and a bit of css trickery..Maybe you could make a page on your backend of website with a login and "maybe" <notice the maybe :)then be able to grab the stats from the adsence page and then covert it on the fly and produce you a nice chart?I dont know anything about adsense so I dont know how the data is displayed but it;s a good idea :)Maybe the php gurus sniffing around the forum could help you out a bit more.One thing I do know is that you could display the excel sheet on a webpage if you upload it everytime you make it...but the idea I came up with would be more elegant

Hi Welcome to Asta Ok first of all I would suggest this as the best program for editing any kind of text file like a php file Notepad ++ Its pretty amazing at what it can do... It understand languages like Php Html Sql etc so when you make a new file or open a file it wil understand the syntax and the arguments and change the colour of them to make it al much easier to see.. example of how it does this...this is a bit of php code im looking at right now wth notepad ++ /* Load and run the appropriate controller */ $results = array(); see what its done? the /* comments are in green statements are coming out in blue.. It makes it much easier in spotting mistakes in your code also.. It puts line numbers down the side so if you get errors from php like "error returned at line 9" you can jump right to it and change the code.. Also it splits you code into blocks using pagebreaks so u can collapse and expand sections..this is handy if you set a whole load of arguments at the start of the code and forget them and have to keep scrolling up again to see what name u called the argument,,something i tend to do a lot! Check out the Language menu item at the top and you can change to lots of different programming languages and then it will detect parts of the code it understands and colour them out for you making it easier to see as i showed earlier. Its also available in a huge list of real world languages..even Basque! and Farsi Its Open license too!! So you got nothing to loose!! Good Luck with it

Ok is it still not working? Looks like something funky going on inyour apache config file then ;( May I suggest something? Remove apache..remove the folder and everything... Download xampp-this is a GREAT bit of testing software... Xampp So easy to setup!!! its got Apache, Php4 and 5, PhpMyadmin, MySQL, Filezilla FTP, Mercury Mail Server.. All built into it..and FREE It will install and ask you which servers you want to install and if you want them as a windows service.. You get a control panel that you administer all the servers from..a webpage on the localhost for further configs... I use this all the time because I am messing around with many different content management systems like Joomla and Drupal. Its a breeze to config and maintain...and great to get everything in one folder instead of having to change paths of each server to get it to work with Apache...yes no more editing the conf file of Apache to add in the servers!! Lots of us here use it and could help you if you have problems..

Ok give this program a try.. It will list all the ports that are open on your pc and the programs that are using them.. Fport Run this on all the pcs and see if port 80 is working properly.. Maybe try to define the apache port as something other than port 80...you may have somethign else trying to use the port at the same time...

What operating systems are on both pcs?do you have a firewall?Prolly that whats blocking access

I guess you should make a copy of this file and drop into every directory...cos if there is a page there it will see it..if not it display an error403 right?

OK after another 30 mins tinkering with it I found the solution... I edited the config.php file and found the path it needed to set the image folder path in there.. It semed to force it to work;) Whats odd is once it does work once..you can browse all over the site and add image folders where you want..
