  1. Sorry rejected, same thing I told Luki (Or at least, I think it is.), you're on the right track, just not quite there yet. If you don't get in, just keep working, and you'll be in the crew sometime in the future.Glad to see you got your account back as well.
  2. Hm...the text is kinda odd, and it could use a border. Other than that, can't find anything wrong with it, so A-OK.
  3. It's because on DeviantART, unless you're submitting poetry, it has to be an image.
  4. And that's why you'll never get cool renders. Awesome renders come with awesome backgrounds. Back on topic, ma'am.
  5. Mike, you're right about everything except the master of the sig part.
  6. Mike, you're not a mod anymore. Let us handle stuff. Areawe gave a decent explanation, IMO, and 859, just add a little more to your comments and you'll be alright.
  7. Um...what? I didn't understand a bit of that.
  8. Might wanna use thumbnails for those renders.Anyway, Phyre, you're better than half the other guys I gave a yes to, so yes to you too.
  9. Hm...just played with it a bit...pretty nice. I could see it being good for explosions and such.
  10. Very nice for a first sig. Decent brushing/render use. Just needs a border and better text. 5.5/10.It could be less wide and a little taller though.
  11. First three (orangey ones) -- Not bad, but kinda plain. Text could be better too. 5.5/10.Fourth one (blue) -- Nice sig and animation, just needs better text. 8/10.Fifth-Sixth -- They look pretty good, but too dark. Slap some brightness/contrast on them. 7.5/10.
  12. Second one -- Bit better, but still kinda plain, and needs text work. Not bad though.
  13. Hm...not liking the render, or the bg, or the text, (nice font, but not much else), or the blending, or the color. Just being honest here...
  14. Read my sig tutorials part one. There's a big list of resources there.
  15. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/23351-omg-gift-for-cool-freaker/ That one? There's no "halo" on that one.
  16. [1] No. [2] I know the feeling. [3] You left out [3].
  17. That's what I was thinking...I was googling the other day and came across a sig tutorial, but it was from quite a long time ago. Not sure if they have active designers...
  18. Oh...now I think I know what it is. The knife isn't a render, it's a brush. That's why it looks see-through when the bg isn't white.I hate those kinda brushes.
  19. You can also use guides. Just create a new guideline at the halfway point of your sig (I use 400x150, so mine would be at 200) and place it there. Much easier than the ruler. O.oAnyway, back on topic ladies and gents.
  20. IM me on how that would work. Might be interesting, but slightly complicated.
  21. Ah. Ditto on Nguyen then. It'd be pretty simple to do in C4D or whatnot, but Photoshop's 2d, so that's impressive.
