  1. Okay guys, my freind Daryl (DaRule) has a new gfx site up, and I would really appreciate it if you joined (and referred me). Just go to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, sign up, make sure I'm listed as your referrer, and send a pm to DR to confirm it.

And don't worry, you don't have to post, obligatory posting is um...something of a myth. =P But don't tell him I said that.

BTW - I posted this in general, because I'm not sure if advertising is only for sites of your own.

  2. Yep, Johnny pretty much nailed it there. I'd just like to add though, it's usually best if you fill on a new layer, and change the blending option to something like overlay, or alternatively just lower the opacity. You can do the same thing to make dots, scanlines and boxes (not grids, but boxes instead of dots). It just depends on what shape you make when you define the pattern.

Ah, yeah, I meant to add the "stick it on a seperate layer" bit, but I'm so used to advanced stuff, I often forget little details like that. Thanks, and those are also good suggestions. (Boxes, scanlines, etc.)

  3. Well technology is evolving faster and faster day by day, i dont think we will be able to live on the moon for around 500 years like you said but im sure for a fact that there will be space stations set up on the moon within the next 150 years,

U never know scientists may find a way to make an ozone layer for the moon if they ever get that smart lmao

did they actually find water on the moon ?

Yes, they have found water on the moon. Mars as well.

    Nice sig, btw.

  4. @ wassie -- Um...I don't speak "terrible spelling", but I'm guessing you're saying that the images should have been blue to match T17's layout, but meh, I didn't wanna make them blue.@ round -- Yeah, I know, but I don't -do- animation, and I don't think these would have looked good with it anyway.@ rusty -- Thanks.@ Florisjuh -- Thanks.

  5. DjLuki, I don't feel like making a whole tut for something simple, so I'll just explain it.Make a new 5px by 5px image with a transparent bg, use the pencil to create a plus sign right in the middle, so you make 4 empty boxes. Then save it, and go to define new pattern, and save your pattern. Then go to whatever image you want the grid in, and go to Fill --> Pattern and use your pattern. With luck this will come out how you wanted. You can make the grid more transparent if you want it to look skinnier.Hope that helps.

  6. @DjLuki - You should very much care. Game shops have very different policies, and in this case, Gamestop's are terrible. For example, at Gamestop, you may never return a new game for a refund or a new game, no matter what the problem. That's just one of the many things that Gamestop does wrong.

  7. You CANNOT just choose a brand and expect it to be best. All of those manufacturers you listed have MANY different computer systems with different things in them, some of which may be more or less good for gaming.BUT, I would say that overall AlienWare has more computer systems designed more towards gaming...
