  1. you should get blue voda. thay are a great website builder and they have easy step by step instructions on how to build the site. it is free and informative.
  2. This is kind of wierd topic but my mom just saw a bear last week and I am an Eagle Scout and this is what I learned: Avoid close encounters. If you can prevent an encounter with a bear, the rest of the steps are unnecessary. Bears are reclusive creatures, and they generally prefer to steer clear of humans. You can help them to do so by announcing your presence when you?re exploring their home environment: talk loudly, sing, yell... so bears have time to escape you. Be sure to heed local bear advisories and practice proper food storage techniques while camping, and try to hike in open areas so that a bear can see you (or you can see it) from a distance. Leave dogs at home or keep them leashed. If you see bear tracks, make a detour or leave the area. Avoid surprising bears. If you happen to see a bear keep your distance (greater than 300 feet), leave the area. If you need to continue on, make a wide detour around the bear. If the bear has not seen you, do not disturb it: retreat calmly and quietly, and then make ample noise when you are well away to prevent future chance encounters. If the bear sees you, begin speaking in a low, calm voice (it doesn?t matter what you say) and retreat slowly, keeping an eye on the bear but avoiding direct eye contact. Your goal is to communicate to the bear that you are human (i.e. that you can defend yourself and are not frightened) while also letting it know that you are non-threatening, and that you are leaving its territory. Stand tall, even if the bear charges you. If the bear sees you and is closer than 300 feet, or if the bear is approaching you, remain calm and try to look as large as possible. Try to back away slowly DO NOT RUN and speak softly. If the bear continues to approach as you back away, stop and stand your ground. Speak more loudly in a deep, calm voice, and wave you arms to make yourself look bigger. Keep an eye on the bear, but avoid direct eye contact. Do not be aggressive, but do not crouch down, play dead or otherwise show fear or vulnerability. If the bear charges you, muster all your courage and stay where you are: the charge is most likely a bluff, and if you stand your ground the bear will turn away. The steps you take to survive an encounter with a bear will also depend in part on the type of bear. North America has three kinds of bears: brown bears (grizzly and Kodiak brown bears), black bears, and polar bears. Polar bears, of course, are easily recognizable, and their range is limited to the far northern latitudes. Grizzlies and black bears cannot necessarily be differentiated by their colors. Grizzly bears can weigh up to 800 lbs., and they are distinguished by a prominent shoulder hump and a rump lower than the shoulder. Black bears are typically smaller (up to 400 lbs.), and have a rump higher than or at roughly the same level as the shoulder. If you see tracks, grizzly bears have claw marks well separated from the paw imprints, while black bears? claw marks will be quite close to the paw imprint. "Shrink" the bear. A little bear psychology can go a long way?your response to an attack should be shaped by the bear?s motivations. First, if a bear appears to be stalking you (disappearing and reappearing, for example), or if a bear attacks at night, it most likely sees you as food, and any attack will be predatory. If you surprise a bear on the trail, if the bear has cubs, or if the bear is eating from or protecting a carcass, the bear will most likely be acting in self-defense. Climb a tree only under the right circumstances. Black bears are adept climbers, so climbing a tree will do you no good with one of them. Grizzlies, too, can climb a little, and they can reach up to 12 feet into the tree from the ground. Only consider climbing a tree if you encounter a grizzly and you are confident you can make it well up (at least 15 feet, but preferably 30 feet) into a sturdy tree by the time the bear reaches you. Bears are fast, so do not try to race a bear to a tree?you will lose. This approach is usually only viable if you are right next to the tree, and you?re a good climber. Play dead if a grizzly bear or polar bear makes a non-predatory attack. If the bear (other than a black bear) is attacking you in self-defense, you can put it at ease (and save yourself) by playing dead by lying completely flat on the ground. Do so only after the bear makes contact with you or tries to do so. (In the past, bear experts recommended that one fall to the ground in a fetal position but researchers have since proven that doing this only allows the bear to easily flip over the human in question.) To play dead, lie flat on the ground protecting your vital parts with the ground, and your arms protecting your neck with your hands laced behind the neck. Keep your legs together and do not struggle. Once the bear leaves your immediate vicinity, wait several minutes before carefully looking to see if the bear is still around. A bear may look back and may return if it sees you moving. Fight a black bear attack or any predatory attack. If the bear is a black bear, or if you have determined that the bear sees you as food (this is actually quite rare, and more common with black bears and, some say, polar bears than with grizzlies), your only chance of escape is to fight it or scare it away. Hit the bear with rocks, pots, pans, sticks or fists?anything handy, really. The odds may seem against you in a fight, but bears generally do not see humans as prey, and a bear that makes a predatory attacks is usually immature, starving, or wounded, and may easily be scared away if you hit it.
  3. completely agreed. we need to look within and find our selves before we judge others and condemn them for the lack of spirituality.
  4. i believe in a supreme being called God becasue there is no other explanation for our existance. i surf and i attribute all mother nature to God. how can something so beautiful just BE. even if its looked at scientifically, there is no beginning of time. when was it? we learn more and more as we advance in science but what was before all the theories? even if they find out we came from a single cell organsim and evolved and the earth was created by some explosion, what explains were that organism came from. this is a horrible argument becasue most athiests would just say, "prove God made all that", but most beliefs are based on faith. SOME people have faith becasue they are scared of what happens after they die or for the sense of security they get or the attribution of good or bad in thier life becasue of what they believe..or simply just becasue thier family is religious. everyone has a personal difference and even within one religion, people might think different. God is sorta a universal figure coexisting in many religions so when it comes to God, i think personally, It is a supreme figure, with no sex, attributions, or descriptions. God is infathomable to imagine. God is everything, God created everything. My God watches over me, keeps me in line, gives me big surf gives me a sense of well being. God is forgiving, God is whatever you want Him to be. Some say God is to be feared. I say my God is powerful and should be respected. I believe my God has a sense of humor. People should make life what they want. they should believe what they want as long as it can exist in thier society. In the end, whats the difference? we all die. who cares if there are aliens, ghosts, whatever people believe in. But what else can you attribute emotion, beauty, birth etc. too? not everyone believes what is written in the bible but atheist or not i think people should read parts of it for educational reasons. i've read the mormon bible, the koran, the King James christian bible. it gives insight to yourself and lets you decide what, who or even if, God exists. find out for yourself if there is a God. theres no purpose in finding someone elses God and always being skeptical in if you are right or wrong. there is no such answer.
  5. i worked in home theatre for best buy for a while so i got to learn a lot about the products. the advantages of a plasma is that you can get them as big as you want where as an lcd can only physically be built to about 52 inches (so far). a plasma can be made 80 inches if you wanted. the plasma color comes in a lot better than an lcd be casue an lcd uses white light to portray the color black. when black is needed for an lcd, the machine just simply turns off but a plasma actaully produces true black. the covering on an lcd is a soft film so there is no reflections in the light where that is the biggest con for all plasmas; they have a glass screen. all the horror stories of the image life and things are generally false these days. if you buy a good quality tv it will last for about 10 years where you will probably be buying another one then anyways. plasmas do have burn in however. if an image is left on the screen for a long time like a video game image, it can burn in permanently. there are ways to sorta fix it but for the most part, you're stuck with it. phillips is the only brand that has the anti-burn in technology. between the two i would probably get the sony xpr 2 lcd. that was my favorite one when i was working there. it was crisp, and another pro for lcd is that it can display 1080p. plasmas can only get up to 720p. but of course you need a device that can produce 1080p like a blue rey player. anyways. i eneded up getting a dlp rear projection. its 52 inches, light, small back, and excellent color. the only con is i cant hang it on my wall and you have to replace the light bulbs every 3-4 years which are 300$. it was a good buy though. i hope this was informative.
  6. things have definately changed. i hardly see kids any more either. i think the times have come when it is too scary to let kids outside like in the past with a bunch of friends to trick or treat in a safe neighborhood. as a young adult now, i could remember wanting to trick or treat even into highschool but it lost its novelty when no one would go with me. they were more into drinkning and partying. not me, i would rather not grow up too fast and enjoy my childhood, late or mot. now i enjoy spending time with my family and dressing up, decorating, and eatuing dinner together, this year my sister picked the theme which is: famous people who have had an untimely death. she listed a few don'ts and a few options but i decided. it is me and my roommates going so imagine a few boys and what we can think of. so far we are going as princess diana, the croc hunter, and anna nicole smith. it may be too soon some might say but its halloween and my sis didnt think of those as off limits. it should be fun and i apologize to any it offends but seriously, they're only people. it could be worse, trust me. happy holloween and be safe!
  7. i guess it all depends on what you are using it for. if it is for creative music editing or something that truly requires precise sounds quality, i would use the full bodied headphones. they typically have a larger MHz range so the hihgs and lows come in cleaner. if it is just for an ipod or something like personal enjoyment, the earbuds should do just fine. when you buy them look for the Mhz range and amps they each provide. the larger the range, the more sound the headphone will pick up. the amp rating gives a good idea of how loud they can preform until they get distorted. Creative are actually a very good company but it is true they have had their problems. i guess it just all comes to what the purpose is. good luck!
  8. you can make money if you have useless stuff that is of no value to you but valuable to others like old action figures, records, stuff like that. otherwise, its kind of hard to just arbitrarely make money. i bought 8 van halen tickes for $2,450 but only needed 2 of them so now i'm trying to sell the other 6. i could potentially make money but im more concerned with just getting my money back. the show is sold out so im sure they will each sell for more than face value but ebay charges a percentage of the total sale cost. so i imagine if you wanted to make money, then buy stuff for face value in which the demand is expected to rise, then sell it when the supply is diminished. its business!
  9. i totally agree with ishan1990. its like the drug debate. if it was legal the people who already do it would continue to do it, the people who have no interest in it still wouldn't. everyone probably breaks the law in one way or the other but it doesnt make them a criminal unless they continue to do it. my friend just got a dui. he broke the law and now has to deal with the consequences. is a criminal/ yea, the night it happened. is he now? no. he learned, it was a blessing in diguise becasue no one died and we didnt die and we wont do it again. criminals knowing act and break the law. we didnt think we would would get caught. WE DIDNT THINK. but we deal with due process and thats America. we have the best of the worst legal system in the world. would you rather get your fingers cut off for stealing or beheaded for audultery. it happens.
  10. definate pyramid scheme. thats like the definition of a scheme. arent those illegal? i thought it was illegal to take part in pyramis schemes. maybe only in california.
  11. trap 17 is unbelienvable. its seriously the best host i've ever had and im just beginning. its ingenious to have such an amazing forum in a tight knit community. im proud to be a member
  12. i would want the God app. this means i could do anything like turn on tv's and any infared devices but also use it as a phone. also i think it would be cool to be able to request bluetooth IM-ing with people inn a room. like if i saw a hot chick i could talk to her in class just by searching for her name in a list of active phones.
  13. it looks very propfessional. it has a solid outline and very "to the point"
  14. isnt it just business? people dont or cant sue when the housing market declines after a big purchase or loss due to sale. its supply and demand. she shouldn't get anything for sueing. i think she should have to pay more for making such a big deal. some stores like best buy has a rebate policy that if you find it cheaper in 30 days they will refund the difference and pay you extra. apple does have an image to uphold and they did a great job reimbursing many of the buyers the difference for the dramatic price cut but doesnt that say something about apple? why did the price drop so much? i know! becasue the company they use the manufacture the iphone screens only last for 1 year until they go dead? nice one apple! just like the 30gb ipod that malfunctioned almost on the dot 1 year after first use!
  15. we breathe, we fight the fact that there is a God even if you are atheist, and miracles happen. not magic, not science but....
  16. war cannot get rid of terrorism. people need to come together no matter what religion, price of peace not freedom, or race. when people die hating another for no reason, they will be judged by a far greater force than missiles and guns.
  17. The hottest place that I have ever been was in the the lower levels of a nuclear missile compartment on a nuclear submarine while touringCertain scenarios would require the AC to be shut off, which somehow always seemed to be during my workouts. We were required to wear the uniform, which was basically coveralls, so I had to train in that. The temperature would reach about 120 degrees with no circulation at all. I would train in a spot where I had "just enough" room between the forward missile tubes, maybe with a 3 inch clearance on all sides, so technique had to be precise. I would easily drink 2 gallons of water during a one hour workout.
  18. 20 types of people you might meet in the mens restroom:1. drunk people2. sick people3. narsasistic people4. annoyed people5. old people6. fast-paced people7. non hand washers8. talkative people ( they freak me out!) seriously not in the bathroom, talk to me outside9. possibly a lost girl10. a bum11. a drug addict12. smelly people13. bad aimed people14. tired people (it IS a RESTroom)15. clean people16. germaphobic people17. wierd people18. tall people19. short people20. i actually hope i dont MEET anyone in the mens restroom
  19. i think you may have something there. as self centered and narsasistic as people are. im sure there would be a full blown data base about people. it would be like a people search but with all types of information that the individual could disclose. the bad thing i am afraid the governement might try and take it over to gain an advantage over people. i am almost 100% sure the government owns facebook and myspace. what better way to get into the lives of people than an anonymous open profile? good marketing solution too!
  20. thank you VERY much for your reply. i hope more people reply. i just find it fascinating to hear about other people's lives.
  21. answer the questions: what do people want? want do you want but its too expensive or doesnt exist? what makes you mad?...then think of things that can fulfill that void. think and grow rich.
  22. i would say anything like that is pretty shady. any make money fast scheme is a load of junk. i researched one just to see if it i couold get free stuff. i got through like an hour of surveys and junk before i got to the end and it makes you pay for things before you get paid and all that stuff. my friend did one of those ipod giveaway things if you fill out like 12,345,644,322 surveys and he did get the thing for free but it cost him more than the thing is worth. try inventing something or patent a design if you want money fast!
  23. Periferal Designs: you can only see a portion of what is in fromt of you. all you see is a woman on the computer but really she has access to the world. like your desings, maybe people only see what they want but if they look closer a whole new image can be revealed...patent pending...just kidding!
  24. i use notepad and photoshop. it takes forever but i can customize it and dont have to deal woth other peoples templates.
