Help For My Seagate Sata Hard Drive! - hard drive stops working randomly, please help! Help For My Seagate Sata Hard Drive! I bought a seagate 500gb with my new pc and after a video card crash the drive died, only 4 months old. I had it replaced under warranty but also bought a western digital 500gb to be my new primary drive. A week ago I initialized the replacement drive and formatted it. Today I was getting ready to transfer data to it when and-Tune caused the video card to crash and windows to dump physical memory. Now the seagate HDD has died. Is it just Seagate that sucks? soldier front Where Can I Download Free FPS Games Soldier front is a great game! I like combat arms to it is a very good game. But soldier front in my opinion is a little better. 1.You can keep the weapons as long as you want. 2.You don't have just 1 person to pick when you start your profile you can keep buying from about 7-10 different characters I think. Downsides. 1.You have to repair your guns or they'll have sucky accuracy. 2.You only get $10,000 every sp (money) recharge. 3.The graphics are not as good as combat arm's. BUT IS VERYYYYY ADDICTIVE! Well, this actually happens on all Laptops and is not spacific to Toshiba or any other make.I have worked in a computer repair shop and have seen all makes with the same problem. Going to a MAC is a big change Microsoft and you should think about with you are going to use the laptop for before buying any laptop.Toshiba are one of the biggest makes in the world and probably one of the best for the money.Sony is over priced and only Sony is able to repair the laptop if some thing goes wrong.All I can say is good luck

Well I've been intimate with this girl the last 2 months, well I guess you can call her my booty call, I work with her. I originally asked her out but she was involved, going through a break up or with a guy that just wouldn't let go. We would spend more time and essentially get to know each other more. I was there for her during some rough times and she really opened up to me. She called back and told me that she was sorry, and was embarrassed to say that she didn't talk to me that day, because the day before I was flirting with some girl at work which I think she has a history with and was angry about it. She doesn't want to get hurt. We'll we planned to spend that weekend together, but she canceled. The next weekend, same deal, but something came up. Of course I called, but she never called back that same day, but the following day apologizing. Throughout the week she would ask me what I'm doing for lunch, or where am I gonna be, showing some interest. Hello, being a mac technician I can say there are only cosmetic's that differentiate the two machines, the emac certainly wasn't aimed just for the younger generation! The emac on earlier production was higher spec'd then the equivalent imac, with the emac boasting a 17'' screen against the imacs mere 15'' screen! And having a significantly larger HD, all in all I'd have to say the emac is more of a specialised machine, as they were aimed for the graphical/creative industry, obviously with the emac's production being stopped it can no longer compete with the slimmer, dual processored imacs! But your after a cheaper high entry level mac to run Adobe cs2 Photoshop/indesign/illustrator etc, then look no further, as these can be brought off ebay for a very good price! And your lucky and stumble across an ex-office machine it should have all the above programme's pre-installed!-reply by Nicholas

None of these will work. !bios / cmospwd / spotmau etc. Don't yet know about these modern bioses and so just return 100% gibberish; their blanking functions target the wrong addresses also.The password info is held inside nonvolatile memory which either does not require constant power to retain the data, or else is backed up by an unidentified smt capacitor somewhere on the board (capacitor's my conjecture)The memory used generally resides within the main peripheral controller chip and is not addressable by the 'normal' address bus used by general programs. So, removing the cmos battery accomplishes nothing.Reflashing the bios also does nothing more than replace the bioses running code, it does not replace the password memory within the controller chip.One would need to identify whatever pins are used on the controller chip to access the memory, attach some form of piggyback hardware, and 'milk' the password data out of it. This would entail knowing precisely how to address the memory within the chip (pulse timings) and also exactly which addresses to read.Then, one would need to know exactly what algorithm the bios was using to hash down from a readable password to whatever encrypted form is held in the controller chip. Then you could -possibly- write code to determine ascii strings which resulted in the same hash.No doubt the '0000' or equivalent hash (resulting from a simple hardware clear of the password memory) has been foreseen and coded against. Software and hardware designs to break these newer bioses will no doubt come about eventually but there's a waiting period whilst the geeks fiddle around, and this time the budding bios password cracker will need a soldering iron, pretty good electronics construction skills, and a good quality oscilloscope.Look deeper into the subject of 'Trusted Computing' and you'll see all this is the least of the worries about the future of smalltime computer repair.
