  5. Atspace.com Advisory to IE users Atspace.com: Web Hosting ATSPACE.COM Advisory regarding IE browser users. When I experienced pageload "freeze up" of my Atspace.Com File Page I completed and submitted a "repair ticket". Atspace.Com never responded, contacted me or corrected the problem. I decided to contact Zettahost.Com Support (parent of Atspace.Com Support) and report my problem. The following are the unexpected exchanges between myself and Zettahost.Com Support. As of this writing, my Atspace.Com File Manager "freeze up" during loading has not been repaired. Anyone currently using or considering to use Atspace.Com should weigh my experience against the attractive advantages Atspace.Com offers. I have been a client of Atspace.Com since 2006 and have noticed a steady decline in the quality of service and support. It seems Atspace does not invest time or on-the-clock effort to repair programming issues. Therefore, I would advise potential Atspace clients a cautionary "recommended with reservation". _____________________ October, 2008 Zettahost.Com support: I regret to email Zettahost.Com Support but Atspace.Com Support is not responding. When I open my Atspace.Com File Manager it "freezes up" while loading.I've re-entered several times and it continues to "freeze up". I would appreciate your looking into this. Thank you. M. ______________ REPLY: Hello M., We have just tested the File Manager using Mozilla Firefox and everything seems to be working fine. We were able to upload and download files through the File Manager as well. Please try to use a different browser, this might help. Also, you could send an a screen shot so that we could better understand what is going on on your end. Best Regards, G., Zettahost.Com Support _____________ Thanks for reply, G., Zettahost.Com Support. Only have IE ... The world's most commonly used browser. The Atspace.Com File Manager continues to freeze up. Have tried three different computers each with different versions of IE and operating platforms ... My Atspace.Com File Manager Froze up each time after selecting subdomain. Screen shot doesn't work when computer "freezes up". Screen capture would only show selected subdomain And "loading ..." The only way out of the frozen page on each computer was to shut the computer down. Even CTRL-ALT-DEL did nothing. I cannot believe you suggest I load a different browser! The repair of your glitch is not for me to switch my browser. May I suggest you investigate your problem with IE browser then effect repair. Thank you. M. __________________ Hello M., We tested your Atspace.Com File Manager via Internet Explorer and there indeed is a problem. However, please note that our service provided is FREE and we CAN'T GUARANTEE 100% compatibility with all browsers. Actually, Internet Explorer 7 was released after our construction and since our control panel was created in 2002 it is possible for it to work a bit slow. I would advise you to consider installing Firefox or Opera. Best regards, J., Zettahost.Com Support ____________________ Greetings J., Zettahost.Com Support, Thank you for your reply. I have another Atspace.Com account and I experience no problem with that File Manager loading using my computer's IE browser. Nor would I contact Zettahost.Com Support if Atspace.Com Support would respond or just because I experience a slow loading File Manager. My problem is total computer "freeze up" during pageload of Atspace.Com File Manager After selecting subdomain file (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/). I have just checked again and reiterate now, I must shut down my computer in order to exit. It seems to me that advising any client - free or premium - to obtain a specific browser just to access their account rather than actually repairing the glitch is not the Atspace.Com Support advertised. Please be aware that this condition hasn't been experienced previously. I would appreciate your repairing the issue. Thank you. M. ______________________ We have tested the file manager tool and it is working fine on our end. There is no glitch whatsoever. If we can help you further with something, please let us know. G., Zettahost.Com Support ______________________ As of this review date my Atspace.Com File Manager pageload "freeze up" has not been repaired. This effectively stops editing, updating or additions to my web site. -reply by MBWard
  6. i agree totally What Is The Best RPG You Have Ever Played Replying to iGuest The two games you posted I totally agree with, shining force was a quick play but challenging, and ffx, I love all the characters (riku the most). I don't know if you have heard of the chrono series, it started with chrono trigger, then went to radical dreamers (most people miss that on, kind of boring tho...), and then chrono cross. Nice story line, and some what of a different battle system. They were making a chrono break, but cancled it, those bastards. I don't concider zelda a rpg, its an adventure game, different catigory. But those are my favs. Chow. -reply by gaming nerd

I am close to 2 of the girls who are victims of this woman's page (and she's bribing the girls for money, in order to have their pages removed). I will pay good money to anyone who can completely destroy that website (PHPBB). The nature of the content on the website and the website's task speak for itself!

  13. ThisIsSad What Is The Truth About How The World Was Made? The lack of science education is shining bright here at this forum, I see. Bacteria ARE alive, Pluto is light hours away... NOT thousands of light YEARS away, the interval between "the big bang" and the origin of life on earth is measured in Billions of years, NOT Hundreds of years. Nehmanator333, "Space dust fused togeather after a comet or planet exploded. Then that made earth"... Ugh... Nope. And iGuest, (sounds appropriately like "I-Guessed"), "The bible is true unless you want to belive that there was a big bang and we all got here by mistake or that you came from a monkey"... The problems with that sentence... WHOA!! Are you saying that the veracity of the bible depends on what I WANT to believe...? Because whatever you might WANT to believe, FACTS remain FACTS. And the bible falls WAY short in the FACTS department. So you can believe in magic all day long... REALITY will remain unaffected. But good-luck with whatever it is you WANT to BELIEVE. Anyway, the topics brought up here are all dealt with in any mediocre grade school textbook. Everyone put down your magic books (talking snakes?!?) and read a little science. It's actually FAR more awe-inspiring than make-BELIEVE. -reply by SpeakerForTheDead

  15. My problem with EBay Ebay Sucks! Replying to Shooting Star HavenJust a casual look at a few items in several categories reveals the biggest problem with making any money selling on EBay. Cheap "hos" are giving it away! Let me explain. Barack and Michelle find an item they can purchase at an attractive price and resell for a $10 gross profit Which probably will net $6-7. Not great unless you sell a lot, but not bad. John and Sarah see the item and say "I can sell it for $2 less and still make $8!" Wrong. Joe the plumber sees the same item and says "I'll sell it for $2 less and be happy with my $6 profit." Wrong again. So Joe buys a case of the item and tries to "make it up on volume". At the same time Tito the builder has bought a case he needs to move too, and since everybody is selling the item for more, he thinks "I need to liquidate this case of widgets or I'll be stuck with it, so I'll sell mine for $1 less". Joe and Tito have just blown the entire widget market for everyone by slicing 50% off the profit for themselves and everyone else! Tito is paying $2 to list it and a $2 final value fee which nets him a whopping $1 per item which doesn't even cover envelopes, bubble wrap, and the gas to take it to the Post Office, not to mention the time spent answering questons and leaving feedback. Oh, I forgot about the Paypal transaction fee which is another $1 hit. I guess that's why we have $10 widgets with a shipping cost of $20. I exaggerate, but not by much. Now we all have a case of widgets we need to move and Tito the builder has set the market price below cost by SELLING TOO CHEAP! I recommend utilizing a secondary distribution channel which is my fancy way of saying "if I can't move them on EBay, I can move them at the flea market FOR A HIGHER PRICE which I will receive in CASH RIGHT NOW IN MY POCKET. No Paypal transaction fees. No feedback scores. No running to the Post Office in the rain so some doofus won't screw up my feedback score because I couldn't beam the item to his mailbox instantaneously. After all, we want to make money and racing to the bottom by slashing your own profits and screwing up the market for everyone is not the way to do it!
  16. Movie Idea (Based on true story)Movie IdeasReplying to BooZker The next movie about historic high school basketball should be aboutthis team and it should be done sooner rather than later. If doneproperly, what a great movie it would be!I have a wonderfulidea for a movie. It is about the Waterloo Wonders basketball team inthe 1930's. They were a High School in a coal mining community in Ohio.In the Appalation mountains. My parents graduated from there, and oneof the players, Wyman Roberts, married into my family years ago. He hassince passed, but my father is still alive. He will be 80 this year andknows alot about them. He has lots of books about them as well. Myparents even wrote a song about them and had it recorded. Here is alink about them:http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/(The following I copied and pasted from the website) Waterloostarted the 1933-34 season without fanfare. They were unknowns outsidethe region and even the local newspaper, The Ironton Tribune, paidlittle attention to them. The six protagonists in the odyssey ofthe Waterloo Wonders were the coach Magellan Hairston, a deceptivelyslim young man with an easy smile, a firm handshake and dark, curlyhair; Orlyn Roberts, a 5?11 ? master ball-handler and showman; WymanRoberts, a 5?10 forward who seemed to whip the basketball around andbetween his legs faster than the eyes could follow; Stewart Wiserman, a5?7 guard from nearby Sheritts who played a watchdog role in thebackcourt; Curtis McMahon, a 5?11 ? center from Greasy Ridge whoseaccurate shooting was learned on an outdoor court where missed shotswere penalized by a three-hundred yard roll into a hollow below thebarn; and forward Beryl Drummond, a 5?8 transfer student from Cadmus, where he had played second string. Traveling in a blackChevrolet sedan belonging to Harrison and occasionally by school bus,the Wonders began testing their skills against local schools. Teamslike Cadmus, Kitts Hill, Aid-Mason, Coal Grove and Ironton Saint Josephwere swept away. Talk got around. They outscored their opponents 290 to57. But it wasn?t just the scores that people talked about. ByThanksgiving a unique style of basketball was beginning to show in theWonders? performances. There they were, night after night, theRoberts cousins passing behind their backs down the court as fast asanyone had seen. Drummond and Wiseman, both short, screening opponentsoff the shooters; and all the while Hairston directing from the benchwith intensity and determination. In the days when relaxed manner ofplay included two men dribbling and passing down the court looking fora two hand set shot, the Wonders were passing between the legs ofopponents, throwing court length passes to be tipped to a third playerfor the goal and scoring with hooks and lay-ups. That may be normal intoday?s game, but remember, this was 1933! They had become the WaterlooWonders, a name given them by veteran Ironton Sportswriter Stan Morrisand one that aptly described Lawrence County?s Cinderella team.Inearly 1934 as the season wound down, they beat Marshall College of WestVirginia 41-35 and also defeated nearby Rio Grande College. In selectedgames, differences in the scores of game were 25, 57 (4 times) and 69(three times). But those are just numbers. They developed a shiftingman-to-man defense in which the nearest Wonder closed in on anyunguarded opponent until the man assigned was in a position to guardhis man. The teams unconventional pranks became a hallmark as theylearned from experience the crowd pleasing appeal of their horseplay:getting the tip-off, then handing the ball over to an opposing playerand standing clear while he shot; rebounding the missed shot of anopponent and giving him the ball for another try; bouncing the ball offthe floor into the basket; eating popcorn on the sidelines while theremaining Wonders continued with the game. At times when a fan yelled?shoot? from the stands, the ball was passed into the crowd and amember of the audience was offered the honor. On thesidelines at home games, ninety-year old Confederate veteran PerryBrumfield danced jigs to the roars of the crowd. No area team couldtouch these Wonders. They won the county, the sectional, the districtand the state in Columbus for Class B schools. In the state tournamentthey defeated Chandlersville of Muskingum County, Lowellville ofMahoning County and in the championship game played on March 17, 1934they defeated Mark Center of Defiance. The Waterloo Wonders were StateChampions and Ohioans took notice. Winners of the state, they wereheroes in Lawrence County at a time when there was little else to cheerabout. In the fall of 1934, Harrison booked 44 games and startedplaying Class A schools throughout Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.Marietta, Zenia Central, Chillicothe, Canal Winchester, Springfield,Portsmouth, Dayton, Patalaska in Ohio. The famous Piner, Kentucky club,Huntington, West Virginia, Ashland and Augusta, Kentucky. After winningtheir first three games, on December 22, in a game played againstGreenfield McClain in Highland County, a powerful Tiger team defeatedthem by two points 26-24 in sudden death overtime. After fifty sixconsecutive wins, Waterloo had lost. If anything, that loss just servedas a wakeup call and in March of 1935, Waterloo found themselves againin the state tournament. In the spacious lobby of the Fort HayesHotel in Columbus, patrons milled about. Bell captains and porters insplendid uniforms hustled tips from overnight guest in exchange forhelp with baggage and other favors. High School basketball coaches andprincipals from across the state stood about in threes or fours, manyof them glumly enduring hangovers-the result of a long night before inthe smoky hospitality suites of the sporting goods companies. Ascattering of loafers and traveling salesmen lounged in the lobby?soverstuffed chairs, smoking cigarettes and reading newspapers. At thedining room cash register, people queued to pay their luncheon checks. One floor down, at the foot of the wide marble stairway, businessmen, politicians, and lawyers freshened up in the restroom while others satsilently in the long row of shoeshine stalls.Near the revolvingdoor that led to Spring Street, five young men in black and white satinwarm-up jackets stood, waiting for directions from their coach, aslightly older man in a gray suit. After a brief exchange of words theymoved together through the door, walked to a 1935 Ford V-8 sedan, gotin and drove off. They moved with the traffic northward on High Street. The tension that had been building for two days mounted as the cityblocks passed by. When they turned east onto Eleventh Avenue andapproached the Ohio State Fairgrounds, they were on the final leg of ajourney into basketball immortality. They were, to the sports fansof Ohio and beyond, already well known. It was March 23, 1935 and somenine thousand cheering fans were squeezed into the coliseum. Eventhough the Class A game between Akron North and Coshocton was also onthe program, the excitement of the tournament was focused on theWaterloo-Oxford Stewart game. Inside the cavernous arena, the cheeringwas intense. Popcorn and soft drink vendors struggled to accommodatethe demands for refreshments. Behind the team benches sat radioreporters with live headphones and sportswriters with sharpened pencils.Thechampionship game began with Oxford Stewart getting the first basket inthe opening minute of play. Wyman Roberts of Waterloo countered with atwo-hand set-shot from the center line that brought the crowd to itsfeet. In the second period Waterloo stepped up the momentum, passingthe ball so rapidly that fans found it hard to follow the action. TheWonders moved to their shifting man-to-man defense and as back-to-backshots by Wyman Roberts and Beryl Drummond fell, the halftime score was17-13, Waterloo. In the closing minutes, a free throw by McMahon andtwo by an Oxford player left the final score at 25-22. Waterloo had wona second straight Ohio State Championship. In two seasons the Wondershad won ninety seven games while losing only three and many of thegames had been played against Class A ball clubs and college teams.Waterlooplaced four players on the All-Tournament team. It was an appropriateclimax for the team and for Orlyn Roberts, who one year earlier had setthree enduring records for three-game state tournaments: most points,69: most field goals, 29 and most free throws, 11. The following day,Sunday the 24th, the most colorful team in the history of Ohiobasketball returned in triumph to its native Lawrence County hills. After high school graduation in 1935, offers of scholarships poured in.Adolph Rupp of Kentucky tried to recruit the entire team. Within aweek, four of the players entered the Gold Medal championship effort inNew Boston and came away with the trophy.Because their high schooldays were so fascinating, I hesitated to go beyond that, but decided itwas important to the entire story. After their high school days, TheWonders began to barnstorm playing in Industrial Leagues fortwenty-five or fifty dollars each, good money for the times. Ahighlight of their professional years was their three games with theNew York Celtics. First played in Ironton, Ohio where the Celticsbrought in Nat Hickey, Davey Banks and Joe Lapchick, the Wonders lost. For the second contest played in Lima, Ohio, the Wonders recruited 6?3?Bill Hoskins of Ohio State, but lost by one point. The third game wasplayed in 1937 at Cleveland?s Public Hall where 7,000 screaming fanssaw Orlyn Roberts score 16 points as the Wonders took down the Celtics47-39. -reply by Barb Grumblis

  23. britneysbto - Could you explain in detail coz ur advice makes a deep sense to me. Can't Concentrate I am also suffering from a same problem where I am able to concentrate on studies only when it damn needed - when the exam dates are closer, and I seem to get good grades even after that. You guys will be surprised to know that I recently completed my masters degree with the same problems...I am now doing this certification course which is not that difficult for me but it seems like the problem of procrastination is still the same. I also always thought that learning in motion is the bet style of learning and the most educational institutions are more of a rote learning styled than motion learning. Britneysbto, your reply was great and it resonates with me because I have almost forgotten a lot of things I learnt in Uni and can only remember most of the things where things were used in practice. Please explain in detail, or else if you are busy, you could guide me to a book or something which explain this topic in detail. Thank you. -reply by Saurabh
  24. God MY PARENTS OR SO annoying! They also sneak into my room whenever I'm on the computer to check what I'm doing. Sometimes they just stand their in silence and watch me for God knows how long. I only realise that they are there when I get up to drink or go to the toilet. God. Sometimes they go outside and pretend they are going shopping but its just to snoop around and look in through th windows. It is so annoying@!!1ARGH.And they expect me to care for them when they get old !Also, they lecture me about how I should express my opinion and say what I want to say. But when we were touring through europe, I asked my dad what burger he wanted and he said "any I don't care!" and he shouted at me for mentioning how he was a hippocryte. Later, I bought him a fish burger, and he said he didn't want it... =.= what a douche. Also, my dad ALWAYS agrees with my mom! God. That is soooo annoying. Sometimes when its obvious I'm right and I look at him for support, he just pretends he's not taking sides. God. Also, my parents always call me as soon as I reach home to make sure I'm at home. Then, they ask me what homework I have for the day, and they make sure that I do it. If I don't, I get punished. Also, my mom is so goddamn stubborn. She always has to be right. Everytime she says something thats incorrect and I correct her, she goes " THATS WHAT I SAID!" --> and she says whatever I said...My parents are the height of annoying. They even tried to install some Ultra VNC viewer to spy on my computer (which allows them to spy on my computer through another computer)...Please save my jeesus
