Helping family member in abusive relationship Please Help. My niece was (is) involved in an abusive relationship. The guy has gone to jail twice for beatingHer up (and beat her up several more times he didn't go to jail for), andSeveral times for beating up previous girlfriends. Two years ago, she said she was ready to get out of theRelationship with him. She got a job,Her own apartment, and started taking care of herself and her baby. She hadThe second baby, and now I am watching both babies. Last week a friend told me she saw my niece and the creep atThe grocery store in the middle of the day, while I was watching her kids. Several days went by, my niece said nothingTo me about meeting with him. When I finallyAsked, she said he just got out of jail and they met for lunch, but she is notGoing to continue to date him. However,They do talk on the phone every day because he is so concerned about hisDaughters (he now has 6 kids, no job, does not pay child support). I feel very used right now. I believe my niece is in a relationship again with the creep,Again. While she is an adult, and canBe in any relationship she wants to, I do not want to support her continued badDecision. Because she has no daycare expenses, she has a little extraMoney right now. In the past, she hasSupported the creep by giving him cash and gifts (like a car). I'm retired, and getting older now; watching 2 babies leavesMe worn out, but I love watching them. Still, I don't want to work to (in effect) support the creep. I do not have a data plan, but I do have lots of free minutes. Next I have a desktop computer(always running) sitting in my home that has a dial up modem that's pluged into my telephone line(Fios Telephone) set up for sending and receiving faxes, and desktop also is connected to router with High speed Internet(Fios) internet access. So now if I dial my home telephone number (xxx) xxx-xxxx from the laptop using the cell as a modem (free call) how do I get my home computer to answer call and connewhat do I need to do to connect to my desktop dial up modem, to use the desktops internet access. Yea I am cheap I do not want to pay tmobile for thier data plan when I have unused minutes and I am already paying for high speed internet and telephone thats just sitting there not being used. All I want is to check email and get on to a few web sites. I am guessing I need some kind of software that allows the laptop to communicate with the desktop. I know I can set up the desktop is it is a proxy server. I can set cell phone to bluetooth to laptop use as a modem I just need to figuire out how to get the two to shake hands and talk to each other. I was able to use laptop and tmobile phone to connect to internet once I guess they had data port open but after second use they shut me off while connected so no more free data access on phone. Please check all of them and hopefully you will be able to over come the situation. 1.Check the Bios system if the "Over Heated' system is disable change it to "enable" 2. It could be the processor is getting heated and the fan is not fixed properly. Do not ignore this and check the processor whether it is tightly fixed or not? 3. If you are using more than one RAM please check your system by using only one RAM which is compatible to your system. russow

I wish I had the answer. I don't. What I can tell you is that your situation really sucks, and you're not alone. It's never happened for me either, never even close. It hurts, but I've given up. I get through it with comforting music and by actively seeking distractions. When that doesn't help I go to sleep to withdraw from the pain. I also remind myself how good I have it. It really isn't much solace, but when I think about how I have a nice family and a nice car and there are so many people starving out there, I realize how lucky I am despite the loneliness. Habg in there dude. I hope you have better luck than I do.

I have windows ultimate and also have downloaded SP1. I scan my computer with Norton on a regular basis as well as using ccleaner. I still have a problem with windows explorer crashing randomly. The task bar will simply stop responding and I get the message that windows explorer has stopped and needs to be restarted. I've scanned my computer for spyware and virus' but I don't seem to have any. I have been able to fix the problem. I deeply regreat buying a computer that has vista on it. I had no problems with vista until after I downloaded SP1.

Here's what I have noticed: The area is a high drug-trafficking area. In fact, drugs have become so rampant, people don't give kids smoking on the street a second glance. They didn't give any attention to the 3 masked teens knocking out a bridges guardrail supports at a stoplight on Rt. 3, either. Shops go in and out of business monthly. There is currently a building on the main road so derelect, it looks like it's from a B-rated slasher flick. At the end of the 07-08 school year, there were 8 girls in the middle school and 13 girls in the high school pregnant. There are literally NO entertainment venues in town! (Golly gee! I wonder if people are vandalizing, sexing, and getting high because it kills time? <(8B)) Discuss.
