Things change quickly...What Is The Biggest Hard Drive In The World ?haha. I can see alot has changed since '05. But it doesn't take long for that to happen in the computer world. Damn Intel has a new processor coming out like every 1/2 yr. Or less now. But yeah, 500 GB is definitely not the biggest sold in stores now. Newegg has 2 TB HDDs for like $299, and large enterprise-based companies make HDDs for mainframe servers and supercomputers that are absolutely phenomenal. As said before, they can get up to the yottabytes now, which is ridiculous. And to think that probably less than 10 yrs ago, we were limited to 32GB w/ FAT32. Haha. Can't keep up for ****. -reply by James Story

AmazingVisual Basic: Change Your Start Button Text! (XP)It's been almost 4 years since I posted this and I still get e-mails about this and my other post about generating random numbers. If you're looking at the date this was posted and get discouraged about sending me an e-mail asking for help, don't be! I still try my best to help all new programmers with anything I can, as so many have helped me get where I'm at now. Thanks -reply by ViRuaL -

Catholicism Vs. Christianity How do they differ?
iGuest replied to linzy's topic in General Discussion
It is called SCHISMCatholicism Vs. ChristianityIn this world people got too comfortable calling themselves "christians" where as they are being contradiction to the Word themselves..If you want an indepth view of christianity you have to be familiar with justice and good. And learn to justify people based on their motives and works and not by their words alone. -

How To Create Shared-by-all "favourites" In Ie ?
iGuest replied to Cassandra1405241487's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Descriptive Title for Opinion/FeedbackHow To Create Shared-by-all "favourites" In Ie ?As knowing where to find disclosure for which Windows one is running, I'm sure a lot of users find installing things like TweakUI (Windows specific), but I doubt I'm the only one who can't seem to locate what should be readily disclosed details about the OS.Obviously Windows systems vary, but given many users lack a lot of interest in getting geeked up and instead, more the simple user, and as such I really don't know which system(s) I'm running, moreover in that some programs, especially MS patches, etc., make it very much needed for the user to first know details of the particular installed Windows system and Windows server. As for where these things are detailed on given Windows systems (XPH/XPP/Vista), I think I've looked in obvious places, device manager, C' Properties, BelArc, etc., but I don't seem to find what Windows server I'm running (if I am?), or where to find even which Windows I'm running (eg; Windows NT, WIndows server 2000, etc.).I'm now running three pc's, Vista Ho Prem, XPH/SP4 & XPH/SP2 (all x86), I'd sure like to pin down where on the pc's that one finds disclosure on which Windows system and which Windows server the system is running/has installed on it.-reply by Author Name - e.G. this is what an annoying classmate means...This Annoying ClassmateI have this girl classmates and she thinks like a child...(she's not a retard) she's just..Annoying... With her squeaky voice and annoying attitude, and stupid sentiments... She's a cry baby and she's a pervert..(at some times... I'm guessing that she's trying to impress the guys because for all we know, guys are usually pervs... No one, NO ONE in the class likes her... She's annoying, she's a child, she's a **** up-to-the-teacher kind of student, she's a perv, and a wanna be otaku(someone who loves anime) she lies al the time and she's bad-talking me to the teachers, she told my other teacher this stupid story: she said I said bad things, I cursed my teacher, the thing is, that teacher was stupid enough to believe her and she's giving me a hard time on her subject... one time, I threw a book right to her face because I told her to shut up and she purposely annoyed me more with her squeaky voice...Well I know that's horrible, she cried but that was amazing, for a moment, my irritation faded... I said sorry of course... I was so infuriated and the last thing I touched was a book so it flew over to her face... now talk to me about annoying classmates...

mothers...drama queens...does it make a difference?Annoying Parents!yeah, I could say that parents are really annoying... My mom's a drama queen... And she gets her "lines/dialogues " from TV... And I'm so sick of it...And I can't say that directly to her because I know that THAT would be disrespectful... All I can do is smile and pretend I'm listening to her sermons... I trained my self controlling my emotions when I'm annoyed... But inside, I'm shouting at the top of my lungs... She wants this "closure" stuff between mother and daughter and I've been close to her ever since I was born and I'm tired! and I'm stuck with her for12 more years...(it's a family thing, you're not allowed to live somewhere else until you reach that certain age) ... -reply by chupul

"crossed connection" error when trying to use Nokia as modemConnect To Internet Using Your Cell Phone Hello all, This is a very interesting forum and I've enjoyed what I've read so far. I am trying to tether my MacBookPro running OS 10.4.11 to my Nokia 6682 to use it as a modem on Cincinnati Bell Wireless's GPRS network. I spoke with a Cinci Bell tech support person who had some very interesting info. First of all, he said I need a $10/month 'tethering' fee added to my plan; this is in addition to my $14/month unlimited data fee for my phone. The cell phone/modem tutorials I've read online never mentioned an additional feature being necessary on my wireless plan..? Second, he gave me the GPRS CID string which is +cgdcont=1,"IP","web.Gocbw.Com" and told me to leave both Username and Password blank. He said my modem script should be Null Modem 115200 (selected from the dropdown menu); I guess I don't need the Nokia modem script I downloaded from Taniwha.Org.Uk/ ? He also mentioned I might need the dial string *99# but I get the feeling that's for dialing a specific access number for my ISP (option 1) versus using a direct, higher speed connection to reach my ISP (GPRS, etc) which is option 2, which is what I'm attempting. Okay, everything seems to be set properly, and when I select "connect" from the phone icon at the top of my screen my cell phone springs to life, clearly communicating with my laptop, and asks if I'll accept a connection request from the laptop; of course I will! I hit 'yes' and the Internet Connect app on the Mac attempts to connect or dial, then rapidly disconnects and says "A crossed connection has been detected. Please verify your settings and try again." What on earth...? The only solution to a "crossed connection" problem that I found on the Apple OS X forums was pertaining to an Apple internal v.90 modem in an older MacBook. This MacBook doesn't even have an internal modem, and anyway, I'm not trying to use an internal modem, I'm trying to use my CELL PHONE modem... I'm stumped. -question by Brendan

ColdFusion 8 running PHP and Ruby!Coldfusion Vs. PhpColdfusion 8 is very powerful and, for the price ($1500), is really a no-brainer with all the support and scalability Adobe provides in the now enterprise level product. It was first designed as a tag based language, just like HTLM. This allowed many people to learn Coldfusion, as most understood the syntax and how to write tags with attributes, but it has grown to an enterprise level application that includes a plethera of unique and very useable features. Coldfusion 9 (Centaur), with Built-in Object Relational Mapping, is already in beta release along with a new IDE in the works. And with Alchemy, any C++ application can be compiled to run in flash. And just some quick important feature sets include: Microsoft Office support, Exchange support, dynamic PDF support, dynamic Image and charting support, application packaging and deployment, remoting and web messaging, JDBC Connect, Lucene Search, IPV6, RIA, ORM, AJAX, Flex 4 (Gumbo), Flash 10 (Astro) and Adobe Flash Catalyst; all of which can be accessed and reviewed at: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/ If price is of importance, you can check out an open source version by New Atlanta. They provide both a native .NET and JAVA installation that provides many features: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ You can directly leverage and access .NET, COM Objects, Java Resources, etc... It's also very powerful as a RAD environment where "turning on a dime" and working with different components, to bring about the whole of an application, is needed. It's perfect for RIA development and can run independently or even on top of popular Application Servers such as WebSphere. It can run the Zend Framework and this includes the ability to leverage most any web platform required. Including PHP and Ruby: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The main advantage is that Coldfusion can directly access, within the application scope, variables set or run on any langauge, like PHP, JSP and CFM, when leveraged by Coldfusion correctly. It also provides many free extensions from the Adobe Coldfusion Exchange and, not to mention, all the sites dedicated to User Defined Functions. Also, both Dreamweaver and Ecplise IDE's are supported, along with Flex, AIR, Flash and Spry Framework; along with many other plugins. As this has just been my experience, I truely beleive, to each his own, but I thought I would say my peace, as I have also used many other types of application developent environments. And as always, feel free to point out my mistakes, as every product, from every vendor, keeps progressing and it's harder to keep track of everything these days. ------ James Piper - VP / CTO - 5 Star Universe, Inc.A Woman and Veteran Owned Small Business5staruniverse.Com

the biggest threat is usa. They attacked korea, and viet nam for no reason. They framed iraq, just so they can invade them. Thats what I call desparation. They were so desparate to attack a country, they had to make up stories about them. The worst part is, now that we know the lies, we are doing nothing about it. This tells us one thing, the govt can lie and get us into wars, and that is perfectly acceptable. The american people are far too stupid and believe a lot of b.S. This will get us all into trouble, but no one cares.

My 7 year old son has already been riding for over a year, his dad rides as well. We go to tracks and pay to race and practice where we are safe and everyone knows what is going on. He is also well protected with a helmet, boots, chest protector, and a neckbrace. We also have to keep in gloves and goggles. This is all part of riding to us and we love it. I do believe it is up to parents to keep there kids safe. Motocross is a great family activity.

gun kata ( possible)Gun KataReality coming into play ... This is a movie ... Actors are doing the stunt. But all bullcrap aside ...The moves were accoplished ..And in slow mo the shots were on point... Now the idea if you not being able to be hit are insane to believe ... But just like any martial art ...It takes one to perfect to make it real...If someone with strong will and disipline kept at it ... It could be possible to make a REAL gun kata. Would it be dangerous ...The numbers of deaths would be crazy...The right person with the wrong will ...Only time will tell. Ive heard time and time again that movies are just futureistic representations of things to come. How I personaly see it ... Its much similar to a mix of 3 arts ... Samuri , krav magra, akito. All teach how to handel multiple attackers... Add in a gun except for the weapons... And magic happens ... The timing would be very important ... Gun weight ... Balance... Repitition of movements to aim properly.. Just like any matrial art these things could be praticted till it was like the gun was an extention of your arm. Look at the art of poi ...(aka rope dart) its a deadly art and uses many poses similar... some of you may need to rethink whats possible ... Even if it is a movie. You cant deny the stunt actors completed the moves ... So if the guns were really fired ... They would have died. Now as for the fact the enemys stood there and took the bullets ... That was just movie magic lol -reply by Greg
