Reservation Reward ScamReservation Rewards - A Scam!Replying to iGuestI bought air ticket from Orbitz on 1/23/2009. I vaguely remember there was this reseravation reward scheme but it the page claim that registration is absolutely free!I hardly check my credit card statement. But fortunately enouh I checked today and found that Reservation Rewards had charged me twice $12 each time :(I called my credit card company and they directed me to the Reservation Reward. I cancelled my membership. Hopefully this will work.Now, I remmeber that after I bought my ticket my crredit card was cancelled in February 2009 because the company thought that it was compromised !I have a new card now. But If Reservation Rewards is the one for which my card got cancelled how did they charge me on the new card ?????

Knowledge vs. IgnoranceRacism And Prejudice - Defined?Ive been thinking alot about this lately and I feel like the word prejudice should mean something different than it does (or maybe there is another word that would be appropriate). To me the word prejudice seems to mean judging something based on preconcieved notions and the term racism is to believe that someone is something purely based on their race. It might not seem like much of a difference, but here is an example: If I am in an unfamiliar neighborhood and the population is largely black, I might be more alarmed because black neighborhoods are more traditionally more dangerous. Now I don't think this is because black people are by nature more violent. But if you were to look at facts, there tends to be more crime in neighborhoods that are primarily black. The reason for this is mostly socioeconomic, which is a result of history not genetics. If I was in a room and two people I didn't know walked in, and the only notable difference between them was race and I assumed that the black guy was a criminal and the white guy was an upstanding citizen, then that would be racism. If you make a statement about Asian's owning nail shops or Jew's being accountants that is not racist (assuming that it is not paired with a negative statement). Generally, when groups of people from one place immigrate, they either know or are drawn to people from the same place. So if you are from Korea and you come to the United States, and you are looking for a job, you might get a job in a nail shop because it is Korean owned. And the affect of this happening en masse is that a good number of nail shops are run by Korean's If there is a Korean person working at an advertising firm, and your thought is why is this person working at an advertising firm, Korean's are only good at giving manicures, this is racist. thoughts?

is jaw ok, or dislocated?I Need Some Help(medical)ok, today I was with my bf in his car, and anyways he by accident elbowed me right in the bottom of my jaw and after that my left side of my jaw was hurting when I bite hard and when I open it too wide even tho it wasnt a pain to die... And it hurts near my ear...When I try to bite down .Its weird but it doesnt feel broken or dislocated, event tho it does shift a little when I open it and close it . LINUX FTW!!The Best Version Of WindowsI have no experience in older versions than XP, thought I know XP more than 76%, still a lot more to learn about it my dumb machine has some stupid SiS (Silicon Integrated Systems) gfx card that cant be regognized by Ubuntu Linux, so my work on Ubuntu Linux is just few hours, cuz I cant get a bigger res than 800x600, which sux like hell, so now I'm getting a notebook with qute a good configuration, and I will install Ubuntu Linux 8.04, while expecting it wont have any problems detecting my hardware (thats a good thing about Linux - it detects your hardware all by itself) I just need to install Skype, Wine, so I can run games for Windows XP, but I still have problems with it, ... Maybe I'll find a guy who would do this to me... well windows xp is qute good forme, but I would preffer linux, cuz its more stable and reliable, though its quite hard to learn -reply by Dann of Thursday

I have to agree with MisterX,I came across a Dell bios that couldn't remove the password by conventional means, this was usually found on dell laptops.The tool you might need is just a metal paper clip to join two legs together to short it (insulate the part you hold, then again 12Vs does just tickle a bit but dropping the paperclip may cause more problems!) but without knowing what chip it's using you'll probably need to find your own schematics for it, since I can't recommend just testing two pairs of legs out without damaging the chip.Cheers,MC

Hi Namaat, Find the make/model of your DVD drives and get those drivers for them and also a firmware update if possible. When installed, make sure DMA is active on both drives, make sure the BIOS is using their most optimal settings. If you know how the drives connect, find the drivers for the connections too, e.g. IDE or SATA and get those drivers from the maker too, should be the chipset for the motherboard. If you don't want to try that, then go into control panel, system properties, hardware devices and delete both drives off and restart the computer, it should reinstall the old drivers. Cheers, MC

windows update crashed my computer !Windows "updates" Crashed Your Computer?I have a new laptop acer 6920G with 250GB hard drive and a 4 GB ram with 2mb cache, so specs are not the issue. after the latest windows update I did my computer completely froze after completion of updates and restart, it would not let me even type my password. After many failed attempts to fix the problem, I was forced to reformat C:/ drive to default factory settings. it worked and the laptop was fixed, until I thought, ok now that everything is working, lets run windows update. After doing all the updates, my computer yet again crashed. So I figured out it had to be windows update, because my laptop has never reacted like this, and for it to occur twice right after updates is too much of a coincidence. My Spy Ideas (the Best)My Spy Suggestions For Team Fortress 2 Next Update S New sapper: Hacker Sapper Disadvantage: Only disables (doesn't do damage), but stays on indefinitely until engy hits w/ wrench or SG is destroyed. This will encourage more "good" Spies who kill the enemy engineer and finish off the SG themselves. Also more teamwork is encouraged since the sapper won't destroy the SG by itself. Advantage: If the spy gets enough kills/assists/destruction points, the Spy gets a "hacker" sapper which will TAKE OVER AN ENEMY SG so it shoots the enemy instead. This can turn the tide in a battle even faster than an uber-charge. Half a team can get wiped out before they know what's happening. The SG remains hacked until destroyed, or an enemy engy finds a way to wrench the SG (such as if the SG is right around a corner). The spy can get killed by his "own" SG similar to an engy, but there's no friendly fire so his team doesn't have to worry about crossfire. This powerful effect must have its limitations: Only skilled spies will fill their hacker/power meter up because it takes multiple kills in a row, and it won't happen very often. It takes 8 points to fill the meter, where 2 pts are awarded for each backstab and 1 pt is awarded for each normal kill/assist/equipment destruction. In this case, 4 backstabs will fill the meter, or 3 backstabs and a couple revolver kills/disabled SG kill assists etc. A lvl 3 SG kill (sap then shoot) will be worth 2 points. The Hacker Sapper takes 2 seconds to hack the enemy SG, so the enemy engy can disable the Hacker Sapper first if he's right there. If the Spy's Hacker Sapper is enabled, he can hit his "last-used disguise" key to toggle the Hacker Sapper off/on so he can disable other SG's before hacking the one of his choice. After filling his hacker meter, the Spy might not be able to find an enemy SG before getting killed (whereas the Medic usually has teammates around to use the uber-charge on). Since the Spy can't build or repair his hacked SG, it will be more vulnerable than a typical SG with an Engy babysitting it. The advantage of the hacked SG is surprise, and near- instant passage for friendlies SGs will shoot each other, so a Spy should try to disable other nearby SGs before hacking the best one Other implications to consider: Should an enemy Spy be able to sap the hacked SG (2 sappers at once)? If a normal sapper is on a SG, can the new disable-only/Hacker Sapper also be placed and vise-versa? If so, a Hacker Sapper should remove/disable a normal sapper upon activating. The Spy's teammate Engy will be able to repair the Spy's hacked SG and restock the ammo as usual, without knocking off the hacker sapper. Other interesting ramifications: A team can quickly establish a forward base if a Spy hacks a SG and there's a couple friendy Engineers around to build more stuff You might see an Engineer get Uber-Charged so he can knock off a Hacker Sapper and get the SG back If both types of sapper can be placed at once, then 2 Spies can lay down a normal sapper followed by a disable sapper, forcing an Engy to wrench his SG 4 times before removing the normal sapper (sappers get removed in reverse order). Useful against Engineers with great Spy defense. However, a couple of Spies laying down both sappers on a large group of Engy structures could be devastating, so there should probably be a limit of one sapper per SG (logically, you could say there's only room for one sapper to fry the circuitry of the SG/disp/tele). This would also keep enemy Spies from easily killing a Spy's hard-earned hacked SG with a normal sapper- not fun when the Spy can't remove it like an Engy. On the plus side, allowing 2 sappers per structure would encourage some Spy-Spy synergy, akin to a pair of Medics using uber-saws. 2 spies could sap lots of equipment and build up their hacker meters, but most likely they would just get killed. A Spy can wait for an Engy to level up his SG then hack-sap after the Engy goes to get more metal. The Engy thinks it's a normal sapper and quickly runs back to wrench it, only to get blow to bits by his own gun. Hilarious New knife: Electro Knife Disadvantage: 25% slower cooldown time between strikes (actual strike speed is unchanged). Advantage: Each backstab or slash increases cloak meter (hack meter is filled for kills regardless of knife). The blade draws electrical energy from the enemy's body to charge the wristwatch. Each backstab increases cloak meter by 25%, slashes only 10%. Perhaps if the cloak meter is already filled, the knife would then power up the hack meter faster. Spies will always want a fast backstab, so this would maintain that need while providing other benefits. Perhaps the Electro Knife would be required to power up the Hacker Sapper (more "logical"). XP and vista Windows Xp & Vista: Advantage Or Disadvantage I have used both the OS but accoding to my point of view Xp is far far better than Vista. Vista you will get nice looks and little bit added feature like ( switch between windows I mean in Vista home premium . Only good thing abot Vista is booting is very fast and network security is more. There are so many compatibilty issue with installing s/w in Vista. I will prepare you guys to install Xp rather than Vista . Vista is not a upgrade rather you can say its degrade . You can say I want to upgrade Vista to Xp to resolve many issues .. M I right ??? warez, pffft.Stop Warez!Warez will always be around no-matter what you do, I think its wrong yes, but there was "Adam and Eve" where the "human" was tempted into rule breaking, and we all do it no matter how small the rule break. I use warez daily and I have nothing to hide. I also run a forum using IPB Nulled and enjoy hunting for warez daily *Shoot me* I've never paid for any software and have probably used every "Top" named softwares to date, my computer is full to the brim of warez. John, Mike, You're the one being dumb. many newer models of computers don't rely on the battery to preserve the CMOS memory, as a protection method. Dell is a good example with PCs. You have to remove the battery, change a jumper, put the battery back in, wait a bit, reverse the steps, etc to wipe it out. There ae other methods too. Boo NortonDont Get Norton Internet SecurityHere's my experience with Norton from March 31, 2009.. I downloaded/installed/scanned using the free trial. Scanning took a little over 4 hours. Found 1 trojan and 1 cookie tracker. Then, realizing I'm not gonna pay their price for their anti-virus stuff (yeah I'm cheap like that) I went and downloaded Avast. The full scan took less than an hour. It found 8 more trojans that Norton missed. (BTW - If you try to download Avast and find that they're asking for a membership of some sort, you're on the wrong site. Avast is 100% free.) -reply by Chris
