The spartans actually promoted homosexuality for their training, yet they were the strongest fighting force of the acient times, hows that for being gay. Than came along the romans, but during the romans chritianity came along and then you got the opposition against homosexuality. So going back in history you see that homosexuality had nothing to do with a notions demise.

Carbonite and Windows Live MeshCarbonite Online Backup ReviewAnyone tried to combine Carbonite and Windows Live Mesh? I'm keeping my desktop and laptop syncronized with Live Mesh. I've got more data than the Mesh will allow so I primarily use it to sync and not store. I been thinking of then using Carbonite to back up the files on the desktop so that I have a third copy of my file. Anyone see any problems with that? I suppose I could make a local external disk image. Try the combo and restore from that if there is any problem. Thoughts, Thanks. Steven

FTP Size LimitFtp File Size LimitI setup IIS with FTP service on my laptop (XP Pro 32bit NTFS) and tried to download a 7.4GB .Vmdk file from the XP machine to an Ubuntu 9.04 (64bit XFS). The download failed with 'invalid filename' error, no issues downloading other files in the KB and MB range, didn't try 2GB or 4GB files though, but using Samba I was able to copy a 36GB file from the laptop. would be interesting to see if it works the otherway. -reply by Eddie

a very similar situation..I Like Someone ElseI know I'm only young, but this situation has occurred for me too. It's none of this getting married stuff, but Jake, a friend of mine recentely asked me out and he is so so nice to me, and has wanted to go out for ages. I wasn't too sure, but I decided I'd take a chance. The problem is that I have another person in the back of my mind, Sam, which is why I was searching for this question on Google. Sam says he really really likes me, but he is a family friend and is related to one of my very very close friends. We both know and have discusssed that it just cant happen and is too difficult. On one hand I feel like I'm cheating on Jake by having this person in the back of my mind and its extremely unfair, I even had a dream about the other person last night, but on the other hand I know Jake will treat me well and I can at least take a chance after everything his done. We talk all the time and not going out with him would be just as unfair. I figure I should just take the chance and try and make it work. If it ends up I just cant do it, even though I still cant be with Sam either, I at least know that I've tried and maybe when we're older things will work out differently. Maybe writing this is just making me feel better about the whole thing, but hopefully it might help some other people out too. And considering other responses, I'm not just going out with him because I want a boyfriend, I really wouldnt mind not having one, I just think it's worth a go, and with everything thats happened and how much we've talked, the least I can do is give it a try. "How to Save a Life" by The Fray has got to be the most depressing song for me as my uncle died round about the time the song was released, so I stopped listening to it. The next time I listened to it in full was 6 months later during the summer holidays sitting at home all alone cause my friends had all left me even my "best friend", my brother hadn't spoken to me in 4 months, my dad became an alcoholic and I was constantly arguing with my my mum and sisters. If I take a tylenol the pain goes away. In the past I have always reacted to storm clouds, in certain buildings where I would get dizzy. Then when I go outside or a different building I am fine. But now that I am older I seemed to get upper respiratory infection easier. In the moring my nose in plugged my throat is raspy and my chest is congested. I went to my doctor for my blood pressure but it was 147 over 70 which is said a little high on the 147 but its ok. then when I mention my headache he said oh its in the migraine area her some nose drops. I read the side effects, so the bottles on still on my dresser. Read the side effects thats scary. I am going back, end of June for a complete physical. My eyes are sensitive to light. I recently added an mp3 music file to my mp3 player(pjbox 100) and when I connected it to my computer I got a popup that says: 'Track length doesn't match playing time'. The name of the individual mp3 file is included with that error message. I'm confused by that error message because isn't 'track length' & 'playing time' 1 and the same? animals testing A Debate On Animal TestingAnimal testing should not be allowed. I don't think that it should be ok to test products on animals. Animals don't get a choice, whereas humans do. Animals have as much right to life as human beings. A lot of experiments are tested on animals like rats and mice. I think this is not acceptable and it should be stopped. The reason why I believe that animals testing should not be allowed because animals are living creatures too and they deserve to have a chance to live. They cannot tell us what they want but I?m pretty sure they wouldn?t like to be tested on and have a 74% chance of dying. Each year, over a million animals around Australia are being used in tests for the purpose of science. Scientists are testing animals on products such as cosmetics, drugs, food additives, household products, industrial chemicals and many more. Some animals have been bred specifically for testing or have been captured in the wild so that scientists can examination on them. There are no laws saying that scientists are abusing animals. But in my opinion if anyone hurts or kills an animal it should be recorded as an abuse to animals and nature. Animals have as much right to life as human beings. God made earth filled with animals so that we could watch over and protect them, no use then to experiment on. Animal testing is not necessary at all! There are other ways that scientists can test their product, instead of gabbing needles in to animal and putting tubes down there troughs. For instance, fake skin called corrositex, computer modelling and improved numerical designs are all options that scientist can use besides animals. More than six million animals are used annually in research and teaching in Australia and New Zealand. It was expected that over 50,000 animals had been used and 74% had suffered side effects and even died due to their treatment. Many tests result in pain, suffering and even death of the animal. Between 600,000 and 1.2 million animals will be killed for every 1,000 chemical tested. There must be a better way to test products, because this is just horrible. humm...What Do/did You Enjoy About School?Ok, so I stumbled upon this whilst reaseraching wether or not students enjoy school, this is great for my coursework ! To me, what makes a class worth showing up too is your relationship with the teacher. My whole life ive been expected to get straight A's, and as a child I loved it and I was aiming high, as soon as I hit secondary school (your high school) I got put off, all the teachers just want you too get good grades because it makes them look better, not for you. Being able to talk to a teacher as if they were a friend helps too because it takes alot of the stress off your work. I have this one teacher, and I can talk to her as if she is a friend, she knows so much about me and it really helps in the lesson because she takes the time to listen and help, not just tell us what were doing and leave it at that like most other teachers. I'm what may be classed as one of the 'troubled' children, yet I am quite intelligent. I loved school until year nine, thats when the pressure hits, and it's not as if I don't want to achieve, because of course I do its just that I feel like my whole likfe is becoming school orrientated, and it doesnt help. I also love sociology, which is the lesson that mademe stumble across this, we have been set a task and there is so much todo, but they have made it enjoyable but also very challenging, it is set over a long period of time, and although there is a lot of students in the class that would normally put it off till last minute, no-one has. I love being handed something to do and making it the best it can be, everybody is studying different things that intrest them, thats what I think it is all about.
