Aluminum foil to shield tele wiresUsing Aluminum Foil To Shield Cables?I have found a couple tech articles that describe interference from electrical lines one of the main reasons for problems with callerID displaying on a phone. Interestingly, in my home, I have a telephone wire (that feeds only this one particular jack) running right next to a electrical wire for the house for approx 6 inches. I simply cannot get CallerID to work on any phone plugged into this jack. All other jacks in the house don't give the problem. In addition, I have never been able to get my computer modem to connect when I use this jack either. I am going to try wrapping the tele wire in aluminum foil just to see if I get any different results. Sure would be much easier than re-running the entire wire. Steve. Cincinnati. -reply by Steve

Best Real Time Strategy of the years.The Best Strategy GameStarcraft is without a doubt in my mind the most equal and fair RTS there ever was. It's not too basic and its not too advanced either. The technologically tree makes sense but will also keep you thinking to make smart decisions. The 3 classes/teams are so different and unique and play very different, yet they are incredibly balanced and have been refined to perfection. Resource placement and map set up is incredibly well done. Not to mention the fact that the online play is the best and the most solid I have ever experience in any RTS. As far as single player goes, the storyline is very original and will really get you interested into the game universe. To top the cake, the map/scenario editor is awesome, easy to use and understand and its very fun to set up playable maps, or just make a really epic battle. There are other well done RTS's out there, but to me, Starcraft will always be the classic RTS. I have been playing it for 6 years and I still am interested in it and have frequent games. And don't forget its made by the legendary Blizzard who made classics such as... Diablo, Diablo II, Warcraft I, II and III, Starcraft, and now the legendary MMO World of Warcraft ( I'm not too big of a fan of WoW ). But Starcraft was a great defining point in war based RTS's. Some would say its the Unreal Tournament of RTS's. Long story short, you can't go wrong with Starcraft. -reply by anarcheril

Office 2003 uninstall problemsHow To Uninstall Completely Office 2003 Hope somebody can suggest a solution for this: 3 days ago suddenly none of my Office 2003 documents would open, kept receiving error msg for missing CAB... After re-installing many of them into MSOcache I realised that I would have had to re-install the whole Office. But I had to uninstall it first. I see many tech forums are facing the very same trap, and I decided to trust 2 solutions: downloaded and run Ork.Exe and then Windows installer Clean Up utility. Yes it did get rid of all Office installers, but now I can't remove Office 2003 as it has disappeared from the Add/Remove feature in Win Control Pannel...I've tried with Revo uninstall but Office does not appear to be a sw on my pc... I have a xp sp2 installed on a very old notebook which has a lifetime of work in it, and I just want to remove all of Office 2003 to install Open Office instead, but I only have 256 mb ram ...Please help me somebody! Received my PC today after Windows 7 Professional was installed and everythime a windows pops up accompanied by a tone this converts partly to scratchy noise and do experience the same after each star-up and during Windows Media Music Playing.. Believe it definitely has to do with the Tones as the Vista 32 bit I have on a different drive in the same computer works great. All this started after the Graphic/Audio Card was removed and installed one step down in order not to get too much heat but it's only Windows 7 Pro on a different drive in the same computer. Could you please help me out as I tried anything which comes to my mind. Thank you Alfredo

Imperia Online Sucks.ImperiaonlineI've been "trying" to play this game for 5 days now and it's absolutely terrible. The entire purpose of this "game" is to accumulate gold and materials, so you can build more and more stuff. That's it. There's literally no other purpose to the game, which would be fine, except that it literally takes days and weeks of waiting in real-time to accumulate anything. So I log in for about an hour to update my stats, then log out. There's literally nothing to do in the interim because everything requires resources. It's the most ridiculous waste of time I've ever seen. They've done very little in writing a game guide either, so it's very much about learning as you go. They have a moderated forum which is nice. When I sent a message to their forum about the difficulty for beginners to advance, the moderator advised me to create other accounts on different realms and play them all until this one had accumulated more supplies and then cancel the others. ...Gee that's a brilliant solution... I suppose if you enjoy watching the paint day, then this game might be for you. But if you're like me and enjoy actually doing things in a game, then please take my advice and find something else to play. -reply by bambino

GameRanger is pretty quick and theres many freaks playing aoe2 online (google search gameranger) especially since MS decided to retire zone.Com. Ive been checking strategies all around and actually the best way to learn is experience on multiplayer games... by the way once u get used to playing multiplayer, u will easily b able to smoke various computer players each time u play against the machine. a few easy good strategies: teuton knights + scorpions, or as Chris Green said habls + skirms + cataphracts from byzantines, war elephants + skirms + champs, ... in water maps (team islands, archipelago, etc) choose vikings (good longboats), byzantines (fireboats fire so much faster), or spanish (the instant shots of their cannon galleys work wonders for clearing an enemy coast, not only of buildings but also of any units). If there are shallow water passes (such as in team islands, for example) when u spot enemy armies moving through them, slam a bunch of demolition ships against them and watch them explode to shreds. black forest: by far the most popular map played online, quickly take a look at the map and build palisade walls at narrow points of the enemy's entrance to the base (+ a tower and barracks as soon as u can) this way you will block him out from expanding and getting to resources and he will need to spend time, money, and more advanced units to get your walls down. whatever u do remember never to forget including fast units (cavalry or woar raiders, etc.) because a few enemy siege onagers could wipe out all your forces in the blink of an eye. monks r important as backup too and can work wonders against teutonic knights and war elephants. youll soon get used to all those silly codes gamers type during games (gg= good game, hf= have fun, etc.).
