Can Sata and Pata Hard disk work togetherCan SATA And PATA HDD Work In Conjunction? I have one hard disk of pata with 80 gb capacity and I buy one moreOf 320gb of Pata. So my query is that is is possible that both of themWork together or not. -question by Virpura Digvijay-- Yes, both PATA HDDs will work together, even on a split cable, just ensure the jumpers on the HDD are set to Master / Slave ( usually it will show you how to do that on the topside of the HDD ) then check the BOIS settings to ensure the HDD is set to Cable Select. When the above is done you will need to format the new HDD to NTFS or FAT whatever allocation table you are using is upto you though NTFS is reccomended, this will allow you to use the new drive. -reply by Pete

First of all ..Hi every one , I have read all your comments and I'm impressed a bout all the knowledge has been discussed so far Its pretty much a risky shot to leave you router access point unsecured . Almost all people now know all dangers a bout this issue , and they set passkeys (WEP or WPA) encryptions on their networks . But if you can still find some of unsecured networks that is because the owners of the networks don't know how to secure their Wi-fi networks or because of a rare issue which is that the computers connected to the network can't access the internet if its (WEP) encrypted even if they have the passphrase , on some kind of routers that came with some ADSL offers . So if you don't wanna secure yours its your choice but sooner or later I thin you think about it again cause their non-one advantage to leave it unsecured . And about the hacking stuff . You have to keep your important stuff on a DVD or something and don't leave it on the hard drive ., even if you are alone on wired network. Same problem Sata Hard Drive Not Recognized By WindowsI am having same problem. I used XP SP 3 dualboot with win 7 Ultimate (32 bits both). I had an external WD 640 GB which was working well. Sudenly stoped to work and now the Bios is just seeing it without recognize and in disk manager is showhn like not initialized and unknown. Heartbreak.What Was Your Worst Heartbreak [true] Story?Became friends with a sweet young girl, who was a complete virgin. I took her on some really nice dates to Downtown Toronto, out for dinner was a real gentleman. I left for university, told her my true feelings for her, she did too. We had a long distance thing going. We had 6 beautiful months of companionship with minor bumps in the road. I dropped outa university, she got super frustrated with me and told me "Shes not ready for a serious relationship" and is to immature. I play the silent game with her because I was broken inside, she attempted to explain herself, but said something tottaly different saying "My feelings changed". We worked out a deal to be 'best friends' we flirted all night, talked like we used to when we first dated, I asked her "lets be two people who just love each other, no labels" She agrees and we set up some dates to be with each other. The next day I visit her at work, and she isn't wearing the necklace I got her for christmas, a shot to the heart, I ask her what was going on I thought we still had something, she told me "no we are just friends remember" I gave her an ultamatum she chose to break off, I went home crying my heart out. We then again talk about things and I attempt to explain my actions, she says "No you had your chance to have my friendship we are over". I want a new laptop and have settled to buy from Dell as I have had an old Inspiron 1000 for 6 years and it although as slow as a dustcart and dated, it has been reliable.The trouble with Dell is that they present you with so much choice, which to someone like me, leads to total and utter confusion and eventual shutdown!I am looking at the Inspiron 15 (1545, 1546 and 1564). This has allowed nations like China and Russia, not to mention the US to remain well ahead of them millitarily. A liberal Europe that does not feel threatened, allows itself to remain vunerable to rising powers.I have read from to many people that they see the US as falling. I say to all of you that you are dead wrong. All nations go through periods of upheaval, and down turns. But the US will not fall, and much of the world that depends on the US for it's defense and it's economic power(Yes that is you Europe, and parts of Asia, and Africa, and South America) had better hope that the US does not fall, because consider the alternatives. after I clean the system unit and brush the motherboard and unplugged all the cable outside (not the internal parts) I cant turn on now the monitor, the system turn on normally but the monitor wont .. There's no images coming from it .. What happen ? how can I solve it ?
