Yea thanks for the suggestion, as I said I am aware of that scripts issues with mozilla/firefox, just a suggestion you could possibly edit to enhance the compatibility of this script with mozilla/firefox browsers.

I think its just a reasonable number to extend yourself from the minimal 10 posts, i guess its a but of motivation to get the better package.But while members do this the forums are becomingmore and more alive by the extra posts being made. This leads on to more members eventually enjoying the forums more, so they spread the word to more potential members, from more members more revenue is recienved from more potential clicking of ads.I don't know if thats it, but thats my interpretation of the set number of posts scheme. Its primarily to get members tog et stuck into the forums, like i am now

I also agree cpanel is the best site management systems , other systems just don't compare with the wealth of options and functions available in cpanel.Although it can be expensive the cost is worth it as you are assuming that you will recieve more customers which should trun that decifit into a profit.It would be hard trying to count the number of features available in cpanel, its just a bottomless pit of usefulness.Cpanel is great for administrators and users, it makes everyones life easier.

Thankyou wannabeeaweak,The problem is that often those scripts don't work with Firefox Users or Mozilla users. I believe it is important that the boomark script works for all types of browsers as mozilla/firefox are the up and coming browsers to date and more & more people are using them. I have experienced difficulties such as I have mentioned when a script similar to yuor for setting homepage and bookmarking works with IE, but unfortunately doesn't work at all with mozilla/firefox.When using Mozilla/firefox with that script nothing occurs, so it might be a javascript problem isn't it?Funnily the scripts isn't supported by some builds of mozilla/firefox yet still shows and doesn't show the javascript dialogue that the browser isn't supported

PHP is definetely superior to ASP with the easy to learn functions and its similarities to html. The making of Content Management Systems, the makinf of forums...I believe better things have been done and still are being done with the use of the PHP language.

I use Dreamweaver MX which I have been using it for about a good year now. I find it very good for editing of php, html, java, asp and much more..I think it is good how alot of syntax and snippets is included in dreamweaver because I always forget some certain tags. The other day I tried Adobe GoLIVE which looked pretty good, but it seemed to have really slow loading and a few error, which put me off it a bit.Despite the often slow loading rate of Dreamweaver, I still give dreamweaver a vote because it doesn't contain nearly as many errors as Golive.

These templates from zymic are free and best of all professional looking sites themes which caught my eye, the first time I saw one. I reccomend you visit http://www.zymic.com/ and download a few of their great templates. I don't know use them but I know when something looks good.Hope I helped

I believe this is just a buffer error, and a simple edit to yuor .htaccess file will remove this error. This is an error that occurs in forums,, ect..*If you don't have a .htaccess file in your public_html folder or root folder please create one and upload it.*Edit the .htaccess you just uploaded with filemanager in cpanel. Add this line anywhere (normally at top) in the file:PHP_FLAG output_buffering OnHope this helps

I use photoshop and fireworks and flashmx. I believe photoshop is far superior for creating graphics to fireworks, but i believe they both shoudn't be comparable.As you should use both in conjuctions by using photoshop to create your graphics (because it has far more superior professional settings and functions) then fireworks for adding animation (unless you use image ready) and life to your graphics and hotspots or slices etc....I suppose you can just use photoshops sister program imageready to do many features fireworks does but fireworks is probably better then imageready. We shouldn't debate which is better, but instead use each for their different functions and capabillites. Eg Photoshop is specialised for graphic design and Fireworks is speciallised for animation and web designing functions.

I have an Hyundai LCD monitor, it is convieniently small and portable taking up far less space then my old analog monitor which is a huge box. LCD monitors make you computer enviroment more comfortable and enjoyable. Prices of LCD monitors are rapidly going down as with all electronic appliances.

yea the choice between the two si a difficult decision as they have similar feaures and capabilities. I have swithced from a nVidia to an ATI radeon 9000 because I find the ATI produces better graphics, more reliable and has better graphics on the tv output (which i uses quite often). It is true ATI is cheaper and the same if not better in Graphic solutions. So why not go for the cheaper and better option?? Altough ATI are cheaper they are not of poor manufactured quality and also have excellent support.

I have:1 60gb harddriveand one 10gb hardrive.I use the first 60gb hardrive for common files and windows and I use the second harddrive for my most important files eg My releases and website material, so its pretty much a small backup solution. I really hope to upgrade to another 60gb hardrive. Because we have many accounts on my computer of which the users heavily use.

As people have said you can use your browsers popup blocker, but I think a better solution is antivirus software. I use Norton Internet Security 2004 which acts as an excellent firewall, popup blocker and image filterer. I reccomend poeple get NInternet Security I havn't had any problems once I got it.

If you are on a dialup connection your ip changes each time you connect to the internet (by a few digits). If you are on cable(adsl) you ip is the same all the time and if you want to make a chnage to your ip your isp can change it if you ring them up or you can get a proxy. Goto http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and copy one of the proxies from the list and then goto your browsers properties and editi your connection settings and select use a proxy and paste the server in all ftp, http and so on.. proxies. You can check whether you have appplied your proxy correctly becaus your ip will have changed, their is a tool at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ where you can check your proxy. Your ip and all other ip properties should change if you applied the proxy correctly.

yes .htaccess is used by you cpanel hotlinking service, you are also able to buffer, denying ips password directorys for your site. redirect enable SSI preventing a directory being listed, adding mime types error documents and much more You can also use a function to prevent your .htacces from being viewed. .htaccess pretty much manages the inflows of users to yoursite and uses all the above functions and more. If you want to learn more about the above functions you can visit http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess.shtml for a tutorial or use your cpanel features (which do all the above) if yuo can't be bothered learning about the functions or have limited knowledge (eg Hotlinking, leech protect, redirect manager..and more...)

I have a linksys wirelessG wireless system at my house (2.4 ghz), it has radius of about 15 metres, so our whole house is connected to the internet. It may be more expensive to use a wireless network but it saves major hassle with a lan network which runs on cables, because our house is three stories high. Another thing is our network is completely secure as we use an encrypted stream and to acces our stream you must have a certain username and password. SO people can't drive past us with their laptops and recievers to steal our internet bandwidth.

I hate winmx as it is ugly, slow and unprofessional, have you seen the colours? I have used kazza, however I find it unreliable because the connecrons rarely work well. Then I came across LimeWire which would have to be one of the best p2p programs I had used, because limewire operates at your fastest http speed connection, which kazza and other don't operate at. Lately I have been using DC++ because it has local hub which are handy for national traffic (because I live in New Zealand and hardly anyone has any good servers here, small counrty). DC++ operates much the same as LimeWire but I find more people use DC++, the features of DC++ are more attractive as you can manage who uses your files and other misc. properties more easily then LimeWire. I reccomend you all try DC++ and find some local servers on the net through a google search. You can get DC++ at http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/. Enjoy By the way I don't use bittorrents any more as they are slow to get up to full speed no matter which torrent program you use.

I personally like windows better, for the general interface is much more attractive and simple to use, the software purchases reflect this. Much more people prefer windows, but I really like the hardware mac uses and the projects such as ipods which are awesome.

An excellent resource for tutorials is http://www.good-tutorials.com/. Then act as a search engine for animation, text, textures, web graphics and normal graphic tutorials. I highly reccomend this site, they also offer ps7 & 8 tutorials, i find it very helpful for tutorials. Once you are sent to one site you find many more good sites, so its a never ending pit of good information.

As kelp said tk is a free url director, if you are looking for a DNS domain I got a free yearly trial .info domain from https://www.domaindiscount24.com/en, even though people say this offer doesn't apply anymore. To configure this you must goto your domaindiscount24 panel and set the name servers as ns1.astahost.com and ns2.astahost.com, then you have to wait for normally 6-8 hours for the dns to configure and then goto your cpanel and goto parked domain and add your domain you configured (eg mysite.com)And if succesfull your cpanel will inform you, then you will have a domain name and it will act just like your Xisto subdomain.
