  2. OpinionRunescape. Yes Or NoRunescape was, or should have been made as past time. If I made runescape my life it would be really sad. Runescape was not made to be someones life. It was made for people who have a little extra internet time. Runescape is not supposed to be someones life. Runescape is supposed to be a good fun, past time. -reply by DaGeek
  3. HTML Contact boxHow To Create Html Feedback FormI want the comment box from my hosted website at maiercs.Com to go on another website I am building. The problem is the code for where the information is sent goes through the hosted client before getting to my email so I cant just strait copy paste the code. Can someone edit the code for me so I can use the format and get it sent directly to my email? I can send the HTML code to you for editing. Although I am willing to copy and paste the code of one with equal or greater professional looks if you already have the script for one. -question by Rudy

Restart your computer. Immediately after the screen goes blank for the first time, press the F8 key repeatedly. The Windows Advanced Options menu appears. If the menu does not appear, restart your computer and try again. Use the cursor keys on your keyboard(your mouse will not work) to select Last Known Good Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows XP attempts to start.2.If you recently installed new hardware, shut down your computer and disconnect the hardware. Then, restart Windows XP and troubleshoot your hardware to get it working properly.3.Restart your computer and press F8 again. This time, choose Safe Mode and press ENTER. 5. Expand by URL only works to 2nd levelDhtml Slidedown MenuThis is a fantastic script that works beautifully.I have found a bug however, and have tried to fix it but I'm in over my head! If you set the menu to expand by URL (which is the default) it will only expand to the second level. If the menu structure is ItemA->ItemB->ItemC->ItemDAnd the page URL is pointing to ItemD, I would expect the menu to auto-expand to show ItemD when the page is loaded. However, it only expands to show ItemB. Does anybody know of a way to fix this? Regards,Damian -reply by Damian
  6. acer customers support is the worst in the world, they don't care about any of their customers. How can you buy an item from a company and they don't even want to explain how the basic things works. When I called about my laptop to get help because I had just buy it. They telling me "when someone buy a car the car dealer don't show them how to drive it." what kind of ****ty thing is that. No wonder why, not many people buying their product, with what I been through if someone tell me they thinking of buying one I will tell them not to and make sure they don't. Because money don't grow in trees.

  9. i dont think its that badWages For Graphic DesignersI think thats a pretty standard price for graphic design, after their expenses it doesn't leave too much for them. 10% is gst, 10% for super annuation, another 20% or so for tax, say $200 for renting office space a week, thats allready taken about half the profit ($60 an hour now) and thats not to mention the cost of the software and equiptment they use. The programs they use cost thousands, and change allmost every year. Its like mechanics and other profesionals charge a high hourly rate, but after expenses of all their equiptment and the workshop they don't really get that much of it. Its not the hourly rate you are paying, its the whole thing including expenses. -reply by dylan

  11. a day with out mathA World Without MathA day with out math would be a pretty ugly day. The weather forecasts would be wrong and construction sites will end up coming out sloppy. Then the planes will get lost because there will be no coordinates and they will fall in the water. Imagine a day with out shopping. The malls and all the other businesses will go bankrupt because they can't pay the bills and other stuff. With out math, you won't be able to drive. You won't know how fast or to slow your driving or you won't know how much gas to put in your vehicle. A day with out math is a day with out shapes and angles. You won't know what a cube, sphere, triangular prism or a pyramid is. You also won't know what a 90 degree angle is, or an obtuse angle. You won't know how to measure so you can't cook because in order to cook, you need to know how much of something you're putting in the recipe. If you wanted new Nikes then you would have to wait because you can't buy new shoes. In order to buy new shoes, you must first measure your shoe size. You also won't be getting paid. Your boss won't know how to count and how much to pay you. If an earthquake hits Tokyo then people won't know how strong it was or how many people died or got hurt. The hospital won't know how much medicine to give the patient and many people can die. In Iraq, the planes would be crashing and no one will make it back. The ships would get lost because they wouldn't know where they are. Some people might forget where they live because they won't know their address. Almost every thing today is based on math. Most of the things we have today, like technology and such inventions wouldn't be here right now if there wasn't such a thing as math for a day. No math would mean no video games, no television, no money, no nothing. Math is part of our every day lives. If you like it or not, math is every where. It's in your address, in your school and in your head. Some people don't even know that their doing math in their head every day. When you go shopping. When you set your alarm clock, and when you are counting money.-reply by manny thaciasKeywords: a day without math
  12. bogus autorun.infHow To Safely Open Usb Drive Without Affecting VirusesWhat I do now is that I create a folder named autorun.Inf at the root of my flash drive and then I put a text file in that folder. I also hide the folder so that when it reappears with hidden file viewing turned off, I know that a virus is on my flash drive. I was skeptical of this method when I came across it at first, but now I use it for all of my flash drives. I also help all of my friends by putting the folder on their flash drives. -reply by Ed Boi
  13. Old PC/Mac Game HelpOld Skool GamesGreetings, I haven't seen a recent post on this forums that could help but if anyone still reads them I could use a hand. I'm trying to remember the title ofa game I played in grade school. I don't remeber any part of the title but I do recall what it was about. It was an educational game about dinosaurs. You were a person asigned to some sort of explores team in the future or something. You were sent back into the past in order to take pictures of specific dinosaurs and bring them back with you to fill up an archive, that's about all I can remember other than I think it played like the old Myst games in that you had to move through the world one screen at a time using navigation arrows on the screen. If anyone knows the name of this game I would appreciate the help. -reply by Ziyn

  15. flashing open web pages, files pages, task mgr. box, etc.Monitor SizeIf anyone can direct me to fixing this problem on my single monitor. If only one page is open and I'm reading it, suddenly it shrinks to half size of the monitor. So small can't read it, nor will it respond to mouse commands until I maximize the screen. Some times just moving the mouse onto the smaller, shrunken page will maximize it for a few seconds and then shrink again. If I have for eg. 3,4,5 or 10 pages open on the task bar they will all suddenly appear in smaller screens on my single monitor. They can then flash from 3-10 smaller windows to the one larger window that was open before the flashing began. Driving me nuts! -reply by frankied

  22. Laptop v Notebook v NetbookNotebook Or Laptop? The laptop is a portable desktop that has the capabilities to do what a desktop could do. It has all the functions such as USB ports, LAN/WAN networking, and most importantly a DISC drive of some sort (Blu-ray, DVD-RW, CD-RW).The notebook is college student friendly. Typically with the capabilities of internet connectivity/networking, and USB for data sharing/access. Most notebooks do not come with internal DISC drives. They are seen more as a portable computer designed for the student/business person. The netbook is the smallest and therefore most portable computer. They are in most cases just like a notebook, but ultra-small/thin for the ultimate space saver. Now, these are my views of the differences of the 3. It is based on my own logical thoughts of each "type" of portable computer.I have a laptop! LOL! -reply by Brandon

  24. Hi Jonnyabc, You may want to look at Plumi which is an Open Source Video Content Management System similar to YouTube and Google Videos. The only HTML required to be stored is that of their template, they don't store each and every individual page. A lot of the dynamic content is gotten back from their database but still the template handles how it looks on the page. Just take a look at the source code for http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and you should see how basic their page is (have to be quick though before it redirects you). To store HTML in the database you could use base64 encoding to do it, but it should be your own trusted data and not content you have gotten from other people. From others, you must clean their content can then encode it if you like. The database would keep track of the file informations for those videos, the get query would be sent by the database and is only a pointer to that file. The template would work on grabbing the file, and playing it in the flash player. You may want to look at how MVC frameworks work, as I believe this would be a similar design to how YouTube and Google Videos would work. Cheers, MC
