iGuest replied to Tourist's topic in Programming
some conditional statements not working in IE but working in chromeConditional Statements Of JavascriptI have developed a web based library management system using jsp. It also uses javascript for validation and other such purposes. My problem is that when I run the application in IE, a lot of conditional statements of javascript do not work and the validation is not done. While in Google Chrome, the same code works perfectly. In IE though all other parts like alert boxes, prompt boxes, etc. Work except the conditional statements. Can u please help me on this... -question by Abhijeet -
well im wanting to create a game for facebook i have a idea for the game i just cant get the script right well to give you an idea on what im trying to work on would have to be nitrous raceing and mafia wars and yoville put together but not like them im wanting to make a game where you can create a character by putting a picture of you and then it transmits it into a cartoon 3d version of you where you can walk around and meet new people in the game in diferent worlds you can buy and upgrade cars and the parts show up on the car and it shows you what that car or what ever you are driving with that part on it im also wanting it where the people that are on the game can create their own track to race on so pretty much the game will be all 3d so the more jobs you do the more money you get either it be a raceing job or a fighting or robing job im also wanting to make it where when you race people for pink slips you get a car or truck or what ever or you could choose to take one of that persons car but you can only take cars at your level or lower so the only way you can get a high leveled car is by being at that level. if anyone can build this game for me i will be pleased also i would like gifts, crew, etc on the game to you will find alot of the cars i would like on the game on my myspace just by going to my photos you can look at these by going to https://myspace.com/browser

I recently bought a new computer w/ windows 7 on it. I installed my old version of Adobe Creative Suite 2 and now in order to view any PDF files, I have to download them to my computer and read them that way. I can't click on the links in IE* to open them. It works fine from any other avenue, emails, my documents, desktop, etc. I have tried the 32/64 thing, giving permission to open files in IE window, etc... Ideas

I think you got confused with netscape or something. Somehow I'm also getting the feeling that Firefox was not the first product of Mozilla. I think Netscape was owned by Mozilla and eventually they chucked it and made Firefox. Dunno though :|

Photography Business Mastery
iGuest replied to miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I found this course excellent!Photography Business MasteryHi all,I bought this package a year ago and I think it's great! It has everything in it that is promised. I know there are plenty of people around spruking how to make money courses, but I found this one to be legit and very insightful and useful. I had previously purchase a few other cheaper ones, but did not find them nearly as good as this one.I have built a photography business on the back of the information in the course - and much faster than I would have done on my own. I've also found them to be very helpful whenever I have asked question or looked for help.I guess any information you buy is only as good as the person who does something with it. If you do nothing with it, then you can't expect anything to happen. If you had an issue with the guarantee, that's one thing. But to say that the course is no good, is not accurate. And no, I am not associated with these people. I just get ticked off when people take the low road and join the bagging bandwagon and wanted to balance the argument.I AM making good money from my photography business! -reply by Gerald -

Medieval 2 Reviews and Kingdoms expansion
iGuest replied to Herbert1405241469's topic in Computer Gaming
Attacking North AmericaMedieval 2you can attack north america, but you cant do it until after the land is discovered. In order to go over to the other continent you need to play until the year 1400 when you can build carracks. Only carracks or bigger can transport troops accross the atlantic. Once you can make the expedition you cant actually attack until the land was visible...So 1492, at least thats what I have found. I tried a couple of times to attack before that year and I have never been able to disembark. As a side note make sure you bring lots of troops or you'll just get smoked. -reply by Darkbubbles20 -
Hi, I used your very cool timeline and expanded it, so if anyone is interested here it is: http://www.gamespot.com/profile/ermhm/blog/ BTW to the uptight comment about nonexistence of any kind of timeline... so what if there probably isn't any real connection? This can't be a coincidence, I've been having an issue with getting random emails from these forums, saying that there were replies in threads that I never posted to.

Extracting Formatted .txt file [fixed]Text File Operations VB.NETThe following is a cleaned up version of the above, it adds a <vbcr> to each line to preserve formatting, (useful for when reading .Htm and .Asp files). It also outputs results to a RichTextBox. The file name is pulled from a OpenFileDialog box and passed to a TextBox which in turn gets parsed by SteamReader. ------------------------------ Enjoy -------------------------------------- Imports SystemImports System.IO Private Sub OpenFileDialog1_FileOk(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs) Handles OpenFileDialog1.FileOk Dim strm As System.IO.Stream strm = OpenFileDialog1.OpenFile() txtFile.Text = OpenFileDialog1.FileName.ToString() Dim ioOutput As String = "" If File.Exists(txtFile.Text) Then Dim ioFile As New StreamReader(txtFile.Text) Dim ioLine As String = "" Dim ioLines As String = "" While Not ioFile.EndOfStream ioLine = ioFile.ReadLine ioLines = ioLines & vbCrLf & ioLine End While ioOutput = ioLines ioFile.Close() End If RichTextBox1.Text = ioOutput End Sub -reply by mgfranz

Case, fans and temps.Proper Airflov Through A Computer CaseMy case seems to be doing a good job so far. I have a CoolerMaster Elite 300 which has one 120mm rear case fan blowing air out and one 120mm front case fan blowing air in. In addition to that, there's an air guide in the side of the case to direct air out of it and away from the CPU. It didn't cost much either from my local PC retail/wholesaler so if anyone comes across this and wants a great budget case I'd recommend that. Now for the temps: On average according to PCWizard 2010 CPU: 26c (Core2Duo E7500 3GHz (overlocked) Motherboard: 40c Power: 33.5c Core 1 & 2: 38c Video card: 41c (ATi PowerColor Hd4670 PCS 1Gb) Hard drive 1: 37c ( Seagate Barracuda 400Gb, primary hard drive with Windows etc) Hard drive 2: 30c (Maxtor 80Gb, this is directly in front of the front fan so I may switch the hard drives positions) All of those temps are based on full load, not idle. -reply by LordReserei

Ummm there is Docu-drama which gives good evidence, event though it states that it is all myth they give good reasons and scientific proof that Dragons could have existed. i kno its been like 4 years but if non of you have heard of this Docu-Drama it is Dragon's World A Fantasy Made Real. it shows that if dragons existed, they could have stored Hydrogen and Methan in large Lung type sacks, aiding with flight. and ground up Platinum to act as a catalyst, alowing it to breath fire. It also gave a strong point - altho purely speculative - that the Dragons or lizards survived the K.T. Event (which supposedly wiped out the Dinosaurs) by living underwater like modern day aligators or crocodiles, this allowed them to survive and evolve. into eastern dragons the slender long dragons and then later the European dragons with 6 limbs.

i think that this is a great laptop. I travel alot as well and i would get one if i was in the market for a new one. This is probably the best bang for your buck as far as it goes with a small laptop because the small laptops usually dont have much power and are slow. But i know this new one is great and like he said hook it up to a large monitor and use that if you want the larger picture.
