I saw a comment in the farcry thread, so I figured I'd throw this up.Just wanted to get people impressions on this game, I personallywasdissapointed. I won't go into to many details because I don'twant tospoil anything for people, but these are my general thoughts:1. I found that the character development was almostnon-existant,whereas in KOTOR the characters were very well developed(For the mostpart) and you actually got to know them, in KOTOR II Ifound thecharacters to be very 2D, you get some backstory on them butthey arenot really developed to the point they were in the first one.Andthere are no character quests that I could find.2. I found the worlds to be dissapointing, some of them were verysmalland had very few quests, and some of those were pretty pathetic.3. The dialog and influance system in the game is a pain. Ithink it wasdesigned for re-playability as I think it would be verydifficult to getevery character to their finished status by only playing once. ButIhave found that the dialog options for the characters veryseldomchange and sometimes you have to go 3 or 4 steps into a dialogtreethat you've already done before getting a new option.4. As for re-playability, I'm about 1/4-1/3 of the way through mysecond time and am pretty bored already, I'm focussing on differentcharacters in my party this time, but I just can't bring myself to careabout my party because even when you focus on them you don't reallylearn much about them. KOTOR I played 5 times and was on my 6thwhen I recieved KOTOR II.5. The ending, if you can call it that , was rushed to say theleast. And if you finish this game then be prepared to wait forKOTOR III forany closure. All in all, I was dissapointed in the game, at the same time thoughIdid enjoy it too a certain extent, but it has the potential to besomuch more.To me it feels like they had a lot of good ideas for the game andjustnot enough time to implement them. If they had been given another6months it could have been a great game.I also think that one of the reasons I have found so manypeopledissapointed is because KOTOR was such a good game that KOTOR IIhadsome high expectations to meet, unfortunatly it didn't quite makeit,if this game had of been the first one instead of the second Ithinkopinions would be different by far.

Javascripts and Iframes withing php nuke ????
iGuest replied to iGuest's topic in General Discussion
Hello, "The html tags not allowed are that way by design for security reasons. Where to add them is in the config.php but you may open yourself to vulnerabilities. Use the block creator HERE to help you create a block file to display your java. You can use iframes. Use something like: <iframe src="http://http://ww38.yoursite.com/index.php&%2334; width="800" height="640px" frameborder="1" scrolling="auto" ALLOWTRANSPARENCY="true"></iframe>^^ you can create a module to display as one of the left links or make a block. That site also has a module creator. You wanted to install another gallery? Do you already have one, and want a second? Which one do you have now? -
On one server other players move around, but without moving their legs or arms. Just started happening a few days ago. It's like someone put action figures on popsicle sticks and moves them around, instead of them being animated. No problem on other servers.???

I haven't played Far Cry since it came out, and have since played Doom 3 and Half Life 2, like most of you. I just reinstalled it yesterday, and apart from having to relearn how to fire an M4 (very different from CS), this game is FANTASTIC.So any of you guys who have this game sitting on a shelf because you've moved on to newer games, I strongly recommend you give it another go. In my opinion it's more fun than Doom or HL. I'm playing now ? la Splinter Cell trying not to be seen the for the whole game (the first time I played it very Rambo).Cheers guys, I'm off to kill some monsters and guys,Ohzo

http://www.the-underdogs.org//?gtnjs=1 Home of the Underdogs is a website that specialises in AbandonWare. Games that, to the best of their knowledge, have been abandonded / are no longer supported or sold by retailers. I'm only really linking to this here as you can locate a game i said was my favourite here: Beneath A Steel Sky. http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/ is probably faster. ScummVM is an emulator for certain old games. Download it, install it, and just point the emulator to the games image. (Which is also available on the site as Revolution (the maker) has listed the game as freeware - as stated on the website - This is in no way illegal/immoral). If you like classic adventure games (like sam and max) then you will probably enjoy BASS. Hope you like it.

Apparently Valve took the grav gun concept from an idea that already existed anyway. So ID are only stealing stolen property.

So what was the last book you read?
-
In my opinion Norton Firewall is better than Microsofts... maybe because I hate Microsoft's products... hehe. I have never had a problem with Norton..

I dont know that book, or that author. But I've seen the word "Kemp" before. A song by the Swedish band 'Millencolin'.So, nsguy, what does kemp mean? Is it a scandanavian word or something?Maybe you could tell us a little about the book.

First of all, I would be inclined to say you use regular case. Don't use all caps. Two, I would be inclined to think that silent~assassin's post was spam.Three, I would be inclined to say that this isn't the ocrrect forum for this, so I would be inclined to move it to the correct forum. That being said, I've never used Xoops, but PHPNuke is quite easy to use.

Dune has to be my all-time-favourite, it's sequels, prequels and legends arent bad either.Reading something different at the moment though. One Door Away From Heaven by Dean Koontz. 230 pages in and I still dont really have a clue what's going on. I like it though, it deals with serious and often depressing subjects, but the author manages to tell the story in a way that often amuses, but doesnt take anything away from the desperate lives the characters lead.Anyway, dune is a must-read for any serious reader, not just sci-fi readers.

Nope, not done it before
-
Very sly... were you the one who was doing this before? Just a question, I don't really care...
-
How do you know I dont? **Looks suspicious**
