You need to be more specific on the type of modem you have, there's far too many to know what one you have. In this case I'm assuming an internal PCI 56K modem, since this is most common. You can check out http://www.linmodem.org/ for a list of compatible modems. All external serial modems are compatible with Linux and more reliable than internals. It's still possible that your modem does work on linux, but you'll need to get the drivers for it, check out linmodem or your modem vendor's website to see if they have drivers for it, you can also find drivers by knowing what chipset is used on your modem. You may need to search the internet to find drivers for it. Cheers, MC

There is a great duo from the UK known as Grand National, who I can't get out of my disc player.I am in the States, and after hearing a sample of their music last fall, I had to purchase their album "Kicking thr National Habit" from an overseas vendor, and it was well worth it. They have a sound somewhere betweeen the rock supergroup the Police, shades of raggae/ska and house music. I understand they will release their album stateside sometime this summer.I can post the URL of their band website, but I'm not sure yet of that is within the guidelines of this site, so feel free to private message me and I'll send the link if anyone is interested.Otherwise, I'd love some suggestions for music along these lines if anyone has them to offer. I'm not very familiar with this genre, nor the artistsyou've mentioned, but I have an album that I like from DJ Cheb i Sabah, who I believe mixes some Indian music with Persian and Farsi sounds.I have notice that 'bollywood' music has gotten a lot of play in the club scene lately. I am also a TJ Rehmi fan, and excellent nu-jazz/electronica composer, if anyone id familiar with him.

I never knew that IT or Computer Security Specialists specially had a qualification related in that role. Would be good if they did. I felt they just needed expertise in the related matters, strong grasp of doing security audits and programming. I'd be interested in what information would be found from this, not that security specialists are large in my country, it's just good to be knowledgable in this area too.
